Michelle Obama proudly paraded her edgy new haircut as she took the stage with her two stylish daughters in tow at the star-studded gala for military families Saturday night, marking the beginning of inauguration weekend festivities. Some of Hollywood´s biggest recording artists, from Usher to Katy Perry, Alicia Keys and Fun., gathered at the Washington Convention Center in DC entertain hundreds of DC-area children and spouses of service members. Dressed in a casual yet chic ensemble consisting of a while loose blouse cinched at the waist with a vibrant belt paired with ankle-length trousers, Mrs Obama appeared

Comments:
She sure adds class and dignity to the White House. s/o I give credit to another poster who said she now looks like Flip Wilson dressed as Geraldine. It is a perfect description.

Maybe a cousin-it wig!

It is not a haircut. As others have noted, it is a wig. The kind of wig that black hookers wear.

New shag wighat emphasizes here enormous underbite and the fact that she slumps and ducks her head forward.

And then there is Jilly, in her too-tight yellow indoor dress and tall dark outdoor winter boots. She has learned her Mooch lesson well.

President Obama marveled at the sheer size of the Colosseum during a private sightseeing tour Thursday night in Rome. "This is bigger than some current baseball stadiums," Obama told reporters, noting the size exceeded Wrigley Field in his hometown of Chicago. "I have to check on what it seats. It´s remarkable. Unbelievable." The amphitheatre, located in central Rome, was constructed between 70 and 80 A.D., and was estimated to hold between 50,000 and 80,000 spectators. The Colosseum was home to gladiator battles and animal hunts during the Roman Empire. Obama walked along a platform running through the center of the

The Obama administration is considering whether to require that television broadcasts of emergency announcements be provided in different languages. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) on Thursday said it is reconsidering a rule that would provide Spanish broadcasts of emergency alerts and other important announcements. The rule was originally recommended in the wake of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Back then, groups including the Minority Media and Telecommunications Council (MMTC) petitioned the FCC to require broadcasters to notify Spanish listeners in the event of an emergency. "MMTC filed its petition on Sept. 22, 2005, in response to its perceived deficiencies in distributing multilingual emergency information

Passing comprehensive immigration reform is more important than Democrats´ success at the polls in November, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said Thursday. A number of Republicans and other conservative voices have accused Pelosi and the Democrats of using the immigration reform issue as a political crutch, suggesting the Democrats would rather keep the issue alive for campaign purposes than actually pass a bill. But Pelosi on Thursday rejected that notion outright, and she didn´t mince words. The Republican Party´s rising Senate prospects are forcing House Republicans to craft a health care agenda that could function as a feasible legislative blueprint for overhauling Obamacare in January 2015. The Republican-controlled House has approved legislation to repeal the Affordable Care Act and reform aspects of the law several times, only to see the bills die in a Democratic-led Senate that is committed to preserving the law. That dynamic would change if Republicans win six Democratic-held seats and assume control of the Senate in November, as appears increasingly possible.
