The Democracy Initiative: a Coup in Plain Sight

| Matthew Continetti, one of my favorite writers, wrote an eye opener last week, "´A Conspiracy so Immense´: ideological commitment and the timidity of pragmatic politics", too late for me to discuss in my column. It is one of the most important stories you´ll ever read anywhere and shows how far behind conservatives are in the fight against "progressive " ideologues. He picks up on a report by Andy Kroll in Mother Jones about a coordinated effort by about 36 different interest groups with reported revenues of no less than $1.69 billion

The Left is passionately committed to the overthrow of the US Constitution. The Right is civil. Guess who has the advantage?

Almost impossible to do, Clarice has managed to outdo herself on this article.
How long must those who understand what Postmodernism is shout into the wind that it is this very thing that is thrashing America into submission?
Postmodernists like Mr. Obama are deconstructionists; they tear down what we have always held sacred and traditional in order to, well, "fundamentally remake America", which he has done with a lot of help from wealthy socialists with the same goals in mind --- and all in the name of "fairness".
"Fairness" to the Left, means tearing down all individuality, all self-sufficiency, all innovation by individuals in order to to make all Americans equally mediocre and equally miserable. One does that by destroying everything that made America properous, free and great.
I´ve lost track of how often I have warned people against ignoring Postmodernism. Clarice Feldman is clearly on to what is really killing the country. We ignore this cultural shift at the very peril we find ourselves immersed in at this moment.
As for what can be done about it, where is the GOP? Where is the Tea Party? It seems the NRA, evangelical Christianity and Israel are the only friends America has right now.
OPEN LETTER TO THE GOP: How long will you wring your hands and do nothing about the trouncing we took? Were you not shocked enough by how far we have already fallen? What are you waiting for? A military or IRS coup?
REMINDER TO GOP: So far, all of Obama´s promises have come to pass. The only ones left include, "Forming a civilian police force with the force and power of the military."
How long do you wait?

Please make this a must read. I saw Continetti´s article and immediately put it out of my mind because it is almost too scary to contemplate what all this money and talent on the side of our enemies means for America. Is there nobody in public life who will lead the resistance? Thanks to Clarice for putting it in front of our faces.

This is scary but we have to recognize that the current situation represents the end game in a century long effort to deconstruct the form of government the founders gave us - our constitutional republic.
The whole point of the constitution is to preserve individual liberty by limiting the scope of government. Almost no Americans today understand that the federal government has no legitimate authority outside of the areas designated to it by the constitution - the "enumerated powers."
The whole purpose of the progressive agenda is to end all meaningful constitutional limits on government power. In fact, as interpreted by liberals the meaning of "progressive" is "progressing past the outdated and now absurd constitution."
We need to recognize that we are down to the point of no return in the fight to preserve liberty. If we loose the next couple of years it will be lost for generations, probably forever.

God and Godly values have been removed from our culture. When people substitute Godly values with secular values they, in essence, have no values, no standards, no morality; they can´t see evil or a lie or bad motives or unintended consequences and are easily manipulated by the media and politicians that have their own interests at heart (which is why the media and most politicians hate religion). Half of this nation is beholden to the Democrat Party (who controls the government) and their monthly government pay check has become more important than their personal liberty and freedom. Half of the people of this nation cannot think for themselves, cannot support themselves and could not survive without the government. So how can they make "right" choices, know what is good and evil or give back, contribute to society, be compassionate or have any empathy? They have sold their soul to the government and they like it. I remember when Reagan was president and how jubilant our nation was. Now it´s just gloom and doom with no hope of recovery. The hope of this nation lies within the people and the people have been bought and paid for by Marxist, secular, liberal, progressives. Our only hope is that when America is destroyed (like old Israel in the O.T.) we look up to God for our sustenance and deliverance; embrace Godly values so we can recognize good and evil, right and wrong and choose to do what is right. God is letting us fall so we will look up and be purged of the evil living with us. Or it may be the end approaching, the real end of time; the return of God dealing with Israel and the 70th week of Daniel´s prophecy.

One of the pieces of advice from the NRA in this article is to "clean house" when your leadership becomes too accepting and accommodating with the opposition. Truer words were never spoken. The Republican leadership has become so inept and so scared of offending anyone that it simply must go. They are caving in on every major Obama initiative...debt ceiling, spending, immigration, etc. Why the heck are they even Republicans?
Clean house. We need people who will fight fearlessly for our principles.

All these leftwing sucks, the MSM and Press, attend weekly cocktail parties where they schmooze with one another, ripping Republicans, conservatives, NRA members and mock the rest of redneck America. Obama has one of these type gatherings on Wednesday evenings, when he´s not on vacation somewhere. The Press and Media will not say or report anything that might jeopardize them and their spouce´s invitations to these affairs. It would be sweet if regular photos be posted of the attendees, in order to see which Press and Media members have sold out.

# 3 , deconstructionist is one even a savvy reader won´t find , but to get to the point . The old guard of the GOPhers , the liberal lite and DC elitists , are going to die out and be replaced by the likes of Cruz and Rubio , the Tea Party of us regular folk . All is not lost , and once the panhandlers and those of ´ progressive ´ leanings find their luxurious way of American life is in serious jeopardy , their tune will change rapidly . Remember that . Zero and his ideology will become too obvious for even the blinder guilded media to ignore .

I agrr. And, I have been saying it is even more in plain sight since the election. Look at it as a whole. Top Generaks, Admirals, demasculnization of the military. Look what happened in Algeria this week. The progressives are handling the civil part, Obama is handling the governmental side. Check the cabinet that has left, and whom are the chosen replacements. You thought you didn´t like what was. You have yet to see, what is to come.
We are being taken in a political coup, our country is being stolen, right in front of our lying eyes. We put our heads in the sand, because it is too surreal to believe.
Wake up. It is as ominous as it sounds. And as real as your denial. Do something, before there is no turning back. We are losing, and this is no joke.
How many more accidents and "suicides" before someone does something? Wake up!

Each time I despair, I try to remember how depressed I was when Bill Clinton defeated good George H.W. Bush. The media was enchanted with Clinton and remained so, even through the impeachment. I know it´s a lot of years later, but there are similarities to the Clinton administration. Many voters adored Clinton, no matter his transgressions. Obama cannot run again, as Clinton could not. We can´t just wait for Obama to self-immolate. That´s not a strategy. We have to suck up our depression, find some good people to run across the country, SUPPORT them, and refrain from ruling out the ones who want to top a ticket before they have a chance to show us who they are.
It may be too late. Many believe so. But, if we all begin to accept that we are doomed, then what´s the use of anything at all? I´d rather put together a plan, or lots of plans.

This is one of the most chilling things I have read in awhile. There are so few of us who see what is happening and too few are even aware or care. The only thing missing from that laundry list of subservive organizations was the name Soros. He is the originator of the destruction that continues to this day. Even when he leaves this earth he still has his children to carry on his malevolent goals. It is beyond frustrating that these evil people have completely infiltrated every single area of our society. We have a huge hill to climb to defeat them.

Finally, someone came right out and said it. This article should be sent to every member of the Republican Party. This is exactly why conservatives are so upset right now. There is an air of despair hanging over folks who know in their gut that there is something very dangerous brewing in Washington today. it is apparent that we have no one on our side up for the challenge of confronting those who are hell bent on tyranny.

Federalism. It begins not in DC but in the states. Bypass the handouts from Washington and the chains are broken. Let´s see one or two Repub governors do it, it might start a trend - imagine keeping the feds out of our schools, out of our traffic laws, out of our drug laws, out of our health care, etc., etc.

The coup began with FDR. He too had the media on his side. Reporting lies with no counter balance.
We could put a stop to this if the US Supreme Court made Voter I.D. established law.
Be helpful too if we stopped bashing republicans at every turn. It only aids and abets enemies of our constitution.
Wake up.

The only thing that gives me hope for the future of this country is the response, over the last month, to the would be gun grabbers. In essence, we have our own "civilian security force, as well funded as the military", though we are funding it ourselves.

This has gone way too far to simply wish away. One only needs to read the 1940´s Soviet/Communist plan to takeover America to know where we are going. They have accomplished the majority of their goals and are now even in control of the federal government! Patriots are desperately in need of a leader. The current crop of Republicans have a couple of prospects but the majority IMO are not up to the task. We need a Patton and instead we have Patent Leather.

Yes, conseratives need a strong leader to come forth and begin to fight back. Remember, it was just a handful of men that organized the revolt against King George. Now is the time for SOMEONE to step forward and organize a revolt against King Obama. That´s going to be the only was that this country can sustain it´s original framework. If we are allowed to continue on the current path, then the country we knew and loved will be confined to the asheap of history. We will become just as to old Soviet Union. A country of high living few and a very large majoirty of very poor. That´s really all they want. Complete control.

I received a call from a woman representing the Sierra Club asking me to support "filibuster reform." She explained, the evil "Right" is standing in the way of legislation that was too important for our survival. She offered to connect me then and there with my Senator´s office. She was calling from a phone bank. You could hear the buzz of other people in the background, presumably making similar calls. This attempt to modify the playing field is real and ongoing as we speak. It is not just some theoretical, impotent discussion. I suspect that the marketing strategy of directly connecting you to your Senator is rather effective.

#28, this is America. Individualists don´t need a leader to know what has to be done. But a lot of you individualists need to wake up and start doing - you are in a war, have been in a war for decades, and still don´t seem able to get your minds around that little fact. You don´t ´hope´ the supreme court ´does something´, you don´t ´wish´ the GOP would do something, and you don´t stand around with your thumbs in your pockets. The evidence is there. Your states better start moving to eradicate every libtard or you´re going to lose the war. It´s that simple. And they count on deliberately miss-educated Americans being confused about legal and political issues - they count on you following whatever laws they foist on you regardless if they are within constitutional boundaries (Most all aren´t). For many decades I´ve heard, cross this line and I´ll get really mad; they cross it; well, you´ll make me really, really mad if you cross THIS line; they inch forward and cross it; OK THIS TIME I really, really, really mean it. And when I would point it out, I´d be called crazy or an extremest. Meanwhile the libtards/progrtards have out-maneuvered Americans to the point where the Americans let their children be educated and entertained by their enemies, their enemies do as they please and the schmucks sit on their behinds and rationalize it away as being lawful - cause one of their enemies in a judge suit told them so. Plain sight, indeed!

These government thugs can only gather this information if we give it to them voluntarily. New gun purchases will move to the black market. All existing "illegal" weapons and magazines will go into underground storage. When the new nazis come door to door to confiscate, they will not find anything. Any American who values his freedom will automatically become a criminal in their eyes but a patriot in reality. If we peacefully give the dictators their way, we deserve what comes afterwards.

Look at the way people like Newt, Sarah, Michelle and their families have been treated, not infrequently by members of their own party, or indeed this forum, and you wonder why we suffer a dearth of leadership talent in the party. The way the Romney campaign went after their opponents in the last election was enough to keep anyone who cherishes his family from coming forward. Until we heap immediate rebuke on those who trade in that sort of practice, we will not see good and capable people in public office.

Do not think Obama`s reign of terror will be over in 4 years. He has no intention of leaving the WH in 2017. Moochelle is being groomed as the first woman president of the U.S. The `process` for a Moochelle Obama presidency has already begun. She is unveiling her `new look` today, sporting a much younger hairstyle, trying to look like she is still in her 30`s. You will hear her become ever more political as the month`s pass Meanwhile, Obama sets his sights on defeating the GOP House in 2014.
As for Hillary, forget her, she`s history.

Our flexible puppet president, still effortlessly concealing his mostly mysterious, murky past -- what with our nation’s roll-over-and-play-dead media -- is well on his way to fundamentally transforming what I used to hold dear. These days I hold it in lower regard. At least some regrettably slow-learning Americans are beginning to notice what is happening, and not for the better, to their lives; at least that’s some consolation.
In no way can I accept the claim that he won both his election and reelection ‘fair and square.’ I just can’t buy that. Never have. Never will. From childhood, I was taught to always respect the office of the president, no matter who occupied it. I have, but with two exceptions. This one and the one who disgracefully perhaps mistook ‘oval’ for something else. Yeah, maybe that was it.

What these progressive/socialist groups united to do is to pursue the Marxist/Communist agenda. This is done through Class Struggle. In the US they created a lumpenproletariat consisting of blacks and Mexicans on welfare and Food Stamps that will vote and vote for them. They control the means of production trough redistribution of wealth to those that have not earned it. Obama is part of the same old Communist plot.
The worst enemy of these Marxists is Christianity because it stands for individual Free Will. The Sierra Club, Soros and allies are a grave danger which no one is confronting.
Mitt Romney was a grave danger to the Communist/Progressives because he ran a campaign based on Individual Freedom. He was a wonderful candidate and a is a good man.
This ideological war started long before Karl Marx, with the Freemasons of the French Revolution.

One inspirational person cannot do anything right now. Those in the coup will blow him/her away. Literally. Look around. They do it every day. Brave leaders who want to change things for the better are afraid for their life. Their very life. Or, even worse, the lives of their family. Pure evil, fear and blackmail going on now. Going on in the House and Senate and all Federal positions. Most of the media is also blackmailed.
I saw Romney back down from running for President the minute his wife´s plane had to do an abortive landing before reaching her destination. Remember that? But the msm stopped reporting it instantly. No more mention. The picture that came out in those few short hours was one of her, finally at her destination, running to him with her mouth open, deep fear on her face and her arms reaching out for him. His body language and face was that of a deer in the headlights, as he opened his arms to protect her. At that moment,I believe he gave up, to save her.
Saving the nation at the Federal level is now impossible. All good people are compromised and scared. It is going to take our Federalism to overthrow this coup that is in place. And yes, it is a coup. State Governors and Legislatures will be our saving grace. In the words of Nancy Reagan, States must *just say no* to present federal intervention, wean their people off the dole, and inspire pride in being a strong State.

The answer is not to cower, but to rise up and answer it with something even more daunting. It is time for the pro-life, pro-defense, pro-responsibility, pro-liberty, pro-equality, pro-market and pro-family organizations to join forces, independant of the Republican Party. We need to fight in every way that is legally possible, at every strata of our society. Otherwise the nation will fall to the progressives, and be consigned to the ash heap of history.

The Progressives got their start when Theodore Roosevelt tried to unseat Taft for re-election. The Bull Mooose party had a very socialist platform. Today´s Progressives are much more extreme.

While I agree with Jeff on the attempted coup and the failure of conservatives and the Republican party to effectively communicate what is going on and fight back against it, there are ways to counter this sort of thing.. Clarice, what most conservatives do not realize is we have in essence elected Adolph Hitler and the majority of his political leaders and judges and the entire Japanese government WHILE fighting WWII. And now we´re surprised when the Japanese bomb us and the Germans put any non-Arian in a concentration camp? When you elect the Karl Marx model, you get the Karl Marx government and there ain´t no turning back until the next election. That´s why there is no un-failure nor possibility of success of the Republican party while Obama is president. They are irrelevant and that mostly by their own choice. There is no way to fight back since the voters (and the GOP) has made anything but waiting until 2016 a fairy tale and fantasy dream. The tiring and constant, "We better do something until it´s too late," or my personal fave, "Wake up people before we lose the nation," is exactly like Robert Ballard warning, "If we don´t un-hit that iceberg, the Titanic will sink," while we watch his documentary on the giant rusting vessel sitting on the bottom of the ocean. We conservatives and at very rare times some Republicans are merely warning people that something must be done to prevent the ship from sinking between the iceberg and the bottom of the Atlantic. Until 2016, it cannot be "un-sunk."

Wonderful article. Definitely a must read. One thing we can work on is the photo ID for voters. We have all kinds of them. Let´s figure a way to make them work for elections. This last election proved beyond anything that at least a million votes were cooked to what was needed. We need to stand up to them and say, "Get a voter´s ID or don´t vote." If they had to use them to cash their welfare checks, they´d all have them. This is not the whole propblem but it´ll keep folks stirred up until something else comes along. As for the cost of an "ID" no one ever said freedom was free. Ask any trooper who left a part in some distant desert. He´ll tell you real quick. Let´s do it!!

I hate to say it, but this is not new. For the better part of my life, (much more than a couple of decades,) I have written, given lectures, discussed and hollered about the coup (conspiracy) to make the US a communist state.
"Give me control of a nations money supply, and I care not who makes it’s laws." Amschel Rothschild.
Sound familiar??? Our Income Tax barely covers the INTEREST on what the FED has "loaned(?)" US.
We are on the verge of a great upheaval. My friends, my family, and my employees have sidelined me for years about what I have seen coming. Now, they are singing Kumbaya to keep their heads from exploding.
I do believe that Soros is involved, but there is no way in my mind that there is not a much, much greater force pushing this pipsqueak up front and to the left.
Study the money scheme and the banking systems, a la the Fed, and follow that trail and it leads to the election of 2012 and beyond. Read it. Study it. Understand it.
Yes, we are at war! And yes, be very afraid.
Keep your powder dry! Our liberties are at stake. Remember, there are millions of Patriots who are working to rescue this country.

#53 is correct, this is not new... and doubt if most LDotters didn´t know this already... perhaps not the numbers and details...
[But as a Christian, we know this evil started in Heaven when Satan was kicked out... he too wanted to be a/the god... ]
As Conservatives, what do we do now...
1. Pray 2. Home-school your children or grandbabies or send to most Conservative, classical Christian school... where American History is taught 3. Study States´ Rights... Get involved in your "red" [or move?] state commitment for voter id, etc... remember 20+ states have not set up Obamacare exchanges... cannot afford to!
And remember, the Tea Party Patriots know this could be a 30-year battle... [They acknowledged this at the first meeting I attended at the Hyatt in Irvine about two and a half years ago...] Do not despair!

In one of his more well-publicized gaffes, Vice President Biden said of John McCain: "Look, John´s last-minute economic plan does nothing to tackle the number-one job facing the middle class, and it happens to be, as Barack says, a three-letter word: jobs. J-O-B-S, jobs." Actually, of course, it´s a four-letter word, and it was his job and the president´s to create a climate for job expansion, and they failed. The evidence is now overwhelming: they have created the worst employment climate in decades.

When your article inspires a big-city mayor to refer your case to a "human-relations commission," you know you´ve hit a nerve. And when that article is the recent "Being White in Philly" piece by liberal Robert Huber, you know it doesn´t take much truth to hit that nerve. That´s the scary part. Huber´s article contains mostly tepid examples of whites´ negative experiences with blacks and primarily black neighborhoods, such as a Philadelphia resident whose grill was stolen from her backyard but "blames herself" for not fencing it in. Its tone is basically apologetic, absolving a drug dealer of responsibility

Speaker of the House of Representatives John Boehner (R-OH), on March 17, 2013, on ABC´s This Week, said that he "absolutely" trusts Obama. Boehner also said that he and Obama have a good relationship, and that they are "open with each other ... honest with each other." I know it sounds unbelievable, so watch this 22-second video. Where to start? Well, how about these specific examples of Dear Leader Barack Hussein Obama not being "absolutely" trustful? I´m sure AT readers can think of others. That´s something to remember when you arrive there next week. Israel has a government, elected by its people in a free, fair, open and democratic election. Multiple parties representing widely divergent points of view met a wildly diverse electorate through free media and open debate. This is no stultified two-party affair with a libertarian insurgency. Israel will be the only country you visit in the region, this time or any other, that has a fully democratic system. Do not be swayed by the "apartheid" slander. Citizens of Israel are Jews, Moslems, Christians, and Druze, each with religious and non-religious elements.

Why Florida Persists in the Zimmerman Prosecution

Prodded by a president with a weakness for racial agitation and enabled by a politically complicit media, the State of Florida persists in a prosecution that can come to no good end. The defendant is neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman. The charge is the second-degree murder. The potential outcomes range from major injustice, if Zimmerman is convicted, to mayhem in the streets, if he´s acquitted. And the state plods on as though the angels were on its side. They are not. The witnesses to the February 2012 shooting of 17 year-old Trayvon Martin are proving even more troublesome

The political world changed its orbit Wednesday as Rand Paul seized the spotlight in his March 6 filibuster. Rand Paul -- not this author´s favorite before -- is probably now the 2016 front-runner for president. But the difference results from fundamental changes in substance. How can one day be that big of a deal? Because Rand Paul demonstrated a reproducible, winning formula. It was as if Ronald Reagan were granted just one day to come back to Earth to remind the Party of Lincoln of "how it´s done." Rand demonstrated a repeatable formula that all Republicans can copy.

Sixty-three months ago Barack Obama officially declared his candidacy for President. Only now are some among the so-called media and ruling elites in America slowly awakening from their self-induced infatuation and beginning to understand who he is. It has become difficult to ignore the overt intimidation, demagoguery and deliberate falsehoods spewed forth by Obama relative to sequestration -- a miniscule cut in the growth of federal spending. However, any cursory examination of his past reveals that these tactics are second nature to the man who currently occupies the Oval Office.

Years ago, when I used to play poker with some guys, I played a hand in which across the table from me was someone who looked as though he had a straight flush. He kept pumping up the bidding and everyone folded but me. When we finally showed our hands he had nothing. "You don´t know what you´re doing," he yelled. "Any good player would have folded! Why did you stay in?" he shouted angrily. "Because you curled your lip and reacted furiously when I stayed in. Someone with a winning hand would never do that."

By law, on Friday the executive must begin to cut $85 billion from federal spending. Though, as is his wont, the president is blaming the Republicans for what he claims is a draconian measure. No less a Washington chronicler of events than Bob Woodward of the Washington Post considers that a gross distortion of the truth [T]he automatic spending cuts were initiated by the White House and were the brainchild of [Treasury Secretary nominee Jack] Lew and White House congressional relations chief Rob Nabors -- probably the foremost experts on budget issues in the senior ranks of the federal government.

Too little serious conservative analysis of the 2012 presidential campaign has yet appeared. This is understandable. The results of the election were disheartening to the point of shock. The campaign defied all historical precedent, all commonsense interpretation. The Romney ticket should not have lost and did not deserve to lose. The Democrats, fielding the least worthy ticket in the past century -- and that´s saying something -- did not deserve to win. The reasons they did are myriad and complex. But before we get too far down the road, there is one lesson that has to be grasped:

No, I´m not talking about Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael (God rest Michael´s tortured soul). I´m talking about the Chicago Jacksons, Jesse Sr. and Jesse Jr. The Jackson 5 in their heyday gave plenty: music, entertainment, and joy to their fans. The Chicago Jacksons are another story. Jesse Sr. (The Right Reverend) and his son (the erstwhile congressman) have done a lot more taking than giving. "Taking" may be too charitable a word. Shaking down and wheedling may be better descriptors for the Chicago Jacksons´ acts.

By now you likely have heard that Chris Rock considers Barack Obama America´s father. If that is true, then would somebody call Child Protective Services and find us foster parents! For Chris Rock, America´s true Founding Fathers were disappointingly white. I suspect that whatever the color of America´s Founding Fathers might have been, they would not have approved of having a failure like Obama among their esteemed membership. Thought the Founding Fathers had many flaws, they were smart enough to eliminate the self-indulgent institution of slavery from America´s future.

RUSH: Folks, I don´t know how else to categorize this. We are living in a dying country. I don´t know how else to categorize what´s happening -- 88,000 new jobs. The unemployment rate, because of a terrible statistic, is down to 7.6%. The number of people in this country who are not working is shameful. Ninety million Americans are no longer in the workforce. Ninety million. People not in the labor force grew by 663,000, and now 90 million. That´s the labor force participation rate. This is 1979 levels.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

Michelle Obama has admitted that she is already tired of the bangs she first sported in January. The First Lady said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: ´Bangs are a day-by-day proposition. They´re starting to grow out, get a little irritating.´ Still, she hasn´t let her hairdo woes get her down. ´It´s okay,´ she said after her initial complaint. ´We´ll be good.´ The first indication that her hairstyle was becoming a burden came about last weekend, when Malia, 14, was spotted adjusting her mother´s hair during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

No one is more preoccupied these days with Hillary Clinton´s 2016 plans than the Beltway political class—not even the former presidential candidate herself. To hear some tell it, her decision will be dispositive for all other Democrats thinking of entering the race. And pundits and reporters aren´t the only ones positing the "The Hillary Factor": No less than the House Democratic whip, Steny Hoyer, told BuzzFeed, “I don´t know that anybody would run against Hillary…. If she runs, she clears the field.” It´s an understandable conclusion, given Clinton´s stature in the Democratic Party and her 70 percent

Clinton praised her own mother for helping empower her to success and marveled at the opportunities that her own daughter Chelsea has pursued. But Clinton warned that there is still so much to do to promote women´s rights in America. "As I look at all these young women that I am privileged to work with, or know through Chelsea, and its hard to imagine turning the clock on them," Clinton said.

The Obama White House is scrambling to blame Friday’s abysmal March jobs numbers on the sequester’s trimming of the rate of growth in federal budgets that have yet to fully commence. After the Labor Department announced that a mass exodus of 663,000 workers left the U.S. workforce last month and that job creation fell 112,000 jobs short of projections, Obama’s top economic adviser Alan B. Krueger, took to the White House blog to blame the sequester: It is important to bear in mind that the March household and payroll surveys are the first monthly surveys to look

On Friday, Sean Hannity brought Pat Smith, mother of the late Sean Smith, on his radio program. The 34-year-old information management officer was one of four Americans murdered in the Benghazi embassy attack on September 11, 2012. In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her. Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

Their attorney, Benjamin Crump, filed that paperwork at the Seminole County Courthouse, a portion of which was made public today. In the five pages of the settlement that were available for public review, the settlement amount had been marked out. Lower in the agreement, the parties specified that they would keep that amount confidential. When asked during an earlier interview whether the amount was
