History books tell that Gen. George Washington, all his troops, horses and cannons forded eastward the Delaware River on Christmas Day because the Hessian Troops would have walked westward on the ice a month later. No ice to be seen anywhere on the Delaware River right now.

It´s not particularly cold out right now.

While reading a gardening book recently, I learned that 7,000 years ago, New England´s climate was as warm as Virginia´s is today.

How can that be? There were no SUV´s, power plants, or very many people, either.

We´re supposed to be worrying about global warming now--when 7,000 years ago it was warmer? And 10,000 or so years ago, there was a giant glacier covering a good chunk of the northern US?

The left had to conjure up a reason that´s it´s so cold out in the face of global warming. No matter what the weather is one of these warmers will figure it out.

I remember in the old RoboCop movies that they thought the ozone layer would be gone in futuristic American and they were putting 200spf sunscreen on.These people just go from one climate catastrophe to the next.

It´s true. It´s freezing here in AZ. In the ´50´s. Brrrr...

Single digit HIGH temps are predicted for us in northern Pennsylvania a few days this week. I hear the wind blowing. It´s time to huddle.

Bottom line: there is nothing remarkable about the weather. It´s January. It´s cold. Deal with it.
In other news, its hot in Australia. The ozone hole is all gone this time of year.

My favorite part of the article is where they actually force-feed you the part about how the reason it´s going to be so frigidly cold is because of warming in the stratoshpere.

They can´t help themselves.

It´s 4 degrees here in the center of North Dakota. When the temperature drops to tne minus 10, 20 and 30 degrees range, it is so dry that you can keep warmer in your winter bundle of clothes than when it is in the plus 10, 20 and 30 degree ranges.

Much easier to just "whisk" the dry as dust snow off the porch steps and the sidewalks and driveways when the temperatures are nice and low, too.

Unfortunately, it is often necessary to run an extension cord out to the cars (equipped with engine heaters) to make sure they´ll start in the cold.

I despise all these hate groups at described meeting.

Makes perfectly good sense - global warming will cause bitter cold weather for the next week or two. /s off
