I won´t criticize Christie´s physical problem (over which he has limited control); I will criticize his priorities (over which he has full control). We should be able to help those impacted by Sandy without the burden of all the unrelated pork. He placed the parochial interests of his NJ constituents over those of the nation as a whole. While that might make him a good governor, it disqualifies him for POTUS.

I know this is mostly hypothetical for now but it´s the smart play. And maybe a wake up call for some of the Repubs in power nationally now.
There´s a reason why there are no Republicans in Chicago.
Republican leaders, you may think your safe but your gravy train days are numbered. You´re being fattened for the slaughter.
You need to keep strengthening and supporting your base to survive not the opposite. If your base goes so does your deal making ability and all those great perks you have... Christie sees what´s going on, being from NJ he knows the Dems M.O. This isn´t like "the old days". I don´t think the "beltway" type Republicans realize how numbered their days are if they´re not careful. For the Dems it´s no-holds-barred in term two. The Fox news Whitehouse press briefings story is just a hint of whats to come if the Dems can get away with it. Christie is just being what he now has to be, a good big city pol.

When he first came on the scene, Christie was popular among conservatives because he wrangled the New Jersey budget back in line. Since then however, he´s shown himself to be a RINO, and he´s made quite a few bad decisions in comments he´s made and showing support on the wrong side. He acts like a know-it-all and how dare anyone criticize what he says and does. Therefore he will have a tough time running as a Republican - better go over to the Dems where he really belongs.
