| Conservatives have long joked that the national press corps see Barack Obama as the second coming of Jesus Christ. Today, Newsweek – at least what’s left of it, an online product for tablets and e-readers – made it official. Next to a side shot of Obama’s head, the “Inauguration 2013” cover story pronounces: “The Second Coming.” It’s an article by long-time Newsweek veteran Evan Thomas, who left the magazine after Tina Brown took over from the Washington Post Company and folded the debt-ridden publication into her Daily Beast site. The January 18, 2013-dated online magazine, was posted Friday

Newsbusters is becoming so boring...forever pointing out that the sun rises in the east. And giving needed publicity oxygen to dying beasts. Nobody CARES about Newsweek! It is no more! It has ceased to exist. It is a late newsmagazine! Stop giving it CPR by drawing attention to it.

"long-time Newsweek veteran Evan Thomas" I guess that descriptive is a resume enhancer for a writer that was part and parcel to a defunct lefty rag circling the bowl.
The Daily Beast sort of describes them all.
Glad Dubya told them to stick it.

This is actually a form of blasphemy and Obama himself should tell them to take the headline down. Too bad he agrees with the sentiment in the headline and it´ll never happen.
First we saw obama get promoted to Lincoln and now Jesus and the left eats it up like leftover Kobe beef.

To Democrats, Obama is far greater than Jesus Christ (an irritating Christian conservative!) so why compare Barack´s Glorious Reign to something as measly as the Second Coming? No, Obama is He Who Was, Is, And Ever Shall Be: Dear Leader. May peace be upon Him (..this critical analysis of His Omniscience brought to you by the MSM).

You can say what you will, but this constant comparing Obama to our Lord is getting scary and blasphemous! The Bible says that God will not be mocked! Obama and his worshippers keep mocking. Watch for something sobering to occur, not wishing anything, just saying. My family and everyone I kmow will NOT be watching the "winner" of the stolen election this inaugural weekend. This, too, shall pass.

I sometimes wonder how it would be to be as utterly stupid as people like those writing for "Newsweak." I mean, when you´re that ignorant, do you realize it? Do you hate people who continually show with facts that you are wrong? Do you bark like a dog and drool when alone? Really, I can understand union members supporting Obama because they benefit. And people sucking up welfare, food stamps, unemployment freebies. And black people, because of his skin color. But why in the world would a gainfully employed, upper middle class, reasonably intelligent voter ever support the Fraud? Naiveté can´t explain it. No. It has to be colossal stupidity.

65 million voters returned this menace to office after four years of misery so it would seem that we have that tremendous base of stupidity to overcome if we ever hope to elect a diligent public servant to the presidency again. We were able to turn Carter out after one term of incompetence, but Obama´s unusual mix of vindictive Constitution-busting and cult worship was rewarded with a second term. To answer Benjamin Franklin´s remark that ´you have a Republic - if you can keep it.´ Unfortunately we lost it, Ben, when we elected The One.

WASHINGTON — President Obama went out for a round of golf Saturday afternoon, his second weekend in a row to hit the links at a course at Joint Base Andrews. The president golfed with White House aides Marvin Nicholson, Joe Paulsen, and Michael Brush. Last Saturday, the president played golf at the same course with Nicholson, Brush, and friend and Chicago businessman Marty Nesbitt. The outing marked his first time on the golf course since the sequester cuts went into place on March 1. The president also took in the Syracuse-Marquette NCAA tournament basketball game

No doubt there are parents who have frank, frequent, open and easy discussions with their teens about sex. I’ve never met any. I do know parents, however, who were stunned to find their 15-year-old’s birth control pills in her pocketbook. Or who came home early to discover junior and a girl they’d never met frantically buttoning up. Or who found out — when their children were grown — what really went on when Meghan said she was sleeping over at Ashley’s. Such sobering tales of teens snookering mom and dad caused mixed emotions in me — a solidly pro-choice

Last fall, Ginnette Powell traveled from her home in Boston´s Dorchester section to her old middle school in South Boston - a journey of just two miles, but one that covered a huge emotional distance. Finally, she was able to leave the painful past behind. Powell endured the explosive battle over desegregation in Boston in the 1970s. Tears come to her eyes when she talks about how it took her decades to return to the place where she never felt safe as an African-American seventh-grader."It was scary because of what you were going into, getting bricks thrown at your bus.

"I don´t understand it," the Arizona Republican said on Sunday of the threat coming from Sen. Rand Paul,Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Mike Lee and nine other Republicans. "The purpose of the United States Senate is to debate and to vote and to let the people know where we stand.” "What are we afraid of? ... A few years after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, Lindalyn Adams was escorting visitors on a bus traveling down Elm Street near Dealey Plaza. “I was pointing out the John Neely Bryan cabin and the Old Red Courthouse, and suddenly I realized the whole bus was leaning towards the right as we were going close to the Texas School Book Depository, and the women [were] pointing and saying, “Is that? Is that? Is that?’” Adams recalled during an oral history interview. She knew, of course, what “that” meant. “That” was where Kennedy had been shot.

They’re big. They’re ugly. They’re noisy. And they’re coming. So get ready. The night began like many at Boorda Hall, a five-story barracks at Naval Station Great Lakes, the Navy´s premier training base on the shore of Lake Michigan in Illinois. Somebody announced a party, and the hard drinking and beer pong began. A 21-year-old Marine lance corporal, so drunk on rum and Mountain Dew she was slurring her words, went to look for Kyle Antonacci, a Navy seaman she´d been dating off and on. Antonacci soon texted his friend Mike Pineda to help him deal with her. Both men had sex with her that night. But what distinguished May 8, 2009,

As the final buzzer sounded, a Louisville player tossed the ball high into the air and injured Kevin Ware stood up, thrusting his arms above his head. The Keystone XL Pipeline has emerged as a major issue in the Massachusetts special U.S. Senate election, with environmental groups committing nearly one-third of the $1.25 million in outside money already spent on campaigns. The biggest spender so far is the League of Conservation Voters, which has already spent more than $545,000 to help elect Democratic candidate and Rep. Ed Markey, who has a strong pro-environment platform. “Our field campaign is resonating with voters across Massachusetts,” said Navin Nayak, a political specialist for the group. “The people of Massachusetts want climate change champion Ed Markey representing them.”

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

No one is more preoccupied these days with Hillary Clinton´s 2016 plans than the Beltway political class—not even the former presidential candidate herself. To hear some tell it, her decision will be dispositive for all other Democrats thinking of entering the race. If she runs, she clears the field.” It´s an understandable conclusion, given Clinton´s stature in the Democratic Party and her 70 percent

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

SANFORD - Trayvon Martin´s parents have settled a wrongful death claim for an amount believed to be more than $1 million against the homeowners association of the Sanford subdivision where their teenage son was killed. Their attorney, Benjamin Crump, filed that paperwork at the Seminole County Courthouse, a portion of which was made public today. In the five pages of the settlement that were available for public review, the settlement amount had been marked out. Lower in the agreement, the parties specified that they would keep that amount confidential. When asked during an earlier interview whether the amount was
