Biden’s claim of brush with
gun massacre questioned

Washington Times, by Dave Boyer

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 1/18/2013 9:45:36 PM

Vice President Joseph R. Biden’s claim that he heard the gunshots of a 2006 school massacre while playing golf is raising questions about his veracity or his memory. Mr. Biden told a meeting of mayors in Washington Thursday that he was about a quarter-mile away from an Amish schoolhouse on Oct. 2, 2006, when a gunman shot and killed five students and wounded five others. “I happened to be literally — probably, it turned out, to be a quarter of a mile [away] at an outing when I heard gunshots in the woods,” Mr. Biden recounted.

Comments:
I wonder if Biden, 0bama and the rest of his comrades are even capable of speaking one word that is true. What a contemptible jerk Biden is. It is appalling how low our standards have dropped for who is acceptable to serve in our government.

Democrats make stuff up -- all the time -- and the media never question them on it. Conservatives tell the truth and their remarks are twisted, misrepresented, and "fact checked" by the media into "lies." They mock truth tellers and admire congenital liars. How about "...We don´t have a spending problem..." from Agent Zero, our Fabicator-in-Chief? What? No "fact check?"

My little local newspaper ran an article about how the schools are trying to teach students that character does count. I thought a few years ago (Clinton era) character didn´t count. Maybe we´re getting a turnaround in this country because people are finally just getting fed up with politicians and the LSM who just lie and cover up and think nothing of it. Maybe we´ve almost hit bottom. We have yet to hear who gave the "stand down" order for Libya.

Only the Washington Times made the effort to fact check.
And they have clearly debunked Biden´s story.
Biden claimed he was playing golf
and his party heard the shots and thought they were coming from hunters.
" Rodney King, the golf pro at Moccasin Run, said Friday he was working at the course on the day of the shooting and never saw Mr. Biden,
who was then a U.S. senator " .
The pro checked the course database and Biden is not in there.
The course is a public one , unlikely for Senators to use.
The more exclusive private golf course is 10 miles away.
There is a shooting range close to the public course where target practice can be heard.
The shooting happened inside the school.
The school was amidst agricultural fields , not woods .
Biden´s age ( 70 ) and history of two craniotomies for ruptured aneurysms is never mentioned by the media.
If a Republican at Biden´s age and with his medical history constantly fabricated events ,
the allegations of possible brain damage and the onset of Alzheimer´s would have been promoted by the media years ago.

Zaid Jilani, a former blogger with the left-wing think tank Center for American Progress, explained this week how the Obama administration frequently tries to censor the progressive organization’s content when it departs from the White House’s agenda. The two worked for Russia Today (RT) — an English-speaking media outlet funded directly by Moscow — and felt their bosses were trying to censor their opinions. So, Lois Lerner still won´t talk about her role in the illegal targeting and harassment by the IRS of conservative and Tea Party groups seeking 501(c)(4) tax exemptions. Lerner appeared for a second time Wednesday before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and claimed her Fifth Amendment right not to incriminate herself. It isn´t hard to figure out why Lerner´s lips are sealed. First, she knows the House of Representatives can cite her for contempt of Congress, but Attorney General Eric Holder would decide whether she is prosecuted on that charge. Lerner need not worry since President Obama has

A plea for about a dozen people who know who they are: Will you see “12 Years a Slave” now? It just won the Oscar for Best Picture. It just came out on DVD. Please see it. I’ll even spring for the popcorn. You see, I keep encountering folks, mostly African-American, who have decided that they won’t -- or can’t -- see this movie. Some say they don’t want to be made angry. Others say they don’t want to be traumatized. I don’t blame them for respecting the power of this film. “12 Years,” based on the 1853 memoir of a free man kidnapped

During his speech to the CPAC crowd on Thursday, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) facetiously recalled “Presidents” Bob Dole, John McCain and Mitt Romney to make a point about how Republicans need to “stand for principle” in order to win big elections. Today, Sen. McCain fired back at Cruz during an appearance on MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Reports. McCain said he spoke to Cruz about the comments and it was “cordial” but he took specific offense at the remarks concerning Dole. “He can say what he wants to about me and he can say anything he wants to about Mitt,” McCain said,

Via Matt Lewis, here’s Maverick once again demonstrating that “cordial relationship” in politico-speak means “two people who can’t publicly admit to hating each other but obviously do.” And it’s a cheap shot. Cruz’s point yesterday at CPAC was that Dole, McCain, and Romney lost because they weren’t conservative enough. That’s not because they’re gutless — he said specifically that they were “good” and “decent” men — but because they’re not committed, full-throated ideologues, even less so when they’re fighting for purple states in a national election. We can debate whether that’s true but there’s nothing offensive in raising the subject.

Where Lois Lerner goes, drama follows. On Wednesday, the former IRS officer again invoked the Fifth before the House Oversight Committee. That precipitated a heated exchange between the committee’s Republican chairman, Darrell Issa, and Democratic ranking member Elijah Cummings, who called the hearings “un-American.” And that spat has become the story. No doubt that is exactly what Cummings had in mind. Because it distracts attention from the substance of the hearings — and from the questions raised by e-mails and public remarks Lois Lerner wrote, received or made when she was IRS Director of Tax Exempt Organizations. The Weekly Standard reminds us

WASHINGTON — Charles G. and David H. Koch, the billionaire brothers who are perhaps the best-known patrons of conservative Republican politics, are bespectacled and in their 70s. They look genial enough. But Democrats are embarking on a broad effort that aims to unmask the press-shy siblings and portray them, instead, as a pair of villains bent on wrecking progressive politics. On Thursday, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is starting a digital campaign that will use Internet ads and videos, as well as social media, to tie Republican Senate candidates to the policies and actions of the Koch brothers. Its slogan:

In a strongly worded letter to House Speaker John A. Boehner (R-Ohio), the Congressional Black Caucus called for Rep. Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) to be stripped of his House committee chairmanship after he abruptly ended a hearing Wednesday morning over the objection of Democrats in the room. "Mr. Issa is a disgrace and should not be allowed to continue in a leadership role," wrote Rep. Marcia Fudge (D-Ohio), who leads the Congressional Black Caucus, in the letter to Boehner. The Wednesday hearing on the Internal Revenue Service’s targeting controversy quickly turned tense. When former IRS official Lois Lerner invoked her Fifth Amendment

Michelle Obama is no stranger to changing up her hairstyle, and it appears she has done it yet again with the addition of honey blonde highlights. The First Lady debuted the new look on Wednesday at the Jessie Trice Community Health Care Center in Miami, where she talked to Affordable Care Act enrollees about how to get insurance. Looking fashionable in a black and purple striped wrap dress, Mrs Obama showed off her lighter locks, which were styled in chic flowing waves. The First Lady was also pictured yesterday sporting the new ´do at Yu Yung Public Charter School in

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) apologized Thursday to his committee´s ranking Democratic member for cutting off his microphone at the end of a hearing Wednesday, according to a local report. Issa told the San Diego Union-Tribune that he personally apologized to Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.). His apology comes after the House earlier Thursday voted down a motion to censure the chairman for his treatment of Cummings. Issa ended a hearing on the IRS scandal Wednesday despite Cummings´s attempt to make a statement and ask a question. When Cummings persisted in his effort to speak, Issa personally cut

The White House said the US president told his Russian counterpart that Russia’s actions were a violation of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. During the hour-long phone call, President Obama urged Russian forces to return to their bases. The White House said it hoped the crisis could be settled diplomatically and urged the Russian and Ukrainian governments to hold direct talks in an effort to find a settlement. The President called for an agreement which would protect the interests of both Ukrainians and ethnic Russians living in Ukraine. This was the second phone call between the two leaders in a
