Whole Foods CEO John Mackey:
Comparing Obamacare to Fascism
Was a ‘Poor Choice of Words’

Fox News, by Staff

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 1/18/2013 11:03:03 AM

Last night, Whole Foods CEO John Mackey went “On the Record” to discuss Obamacare, which he recently referred to as “more like fascism” than socialism. He received an angry backlash from many Whole Foods customers after the comment and is now apologizing for his “poor choice of words.” He told Greta Van Susteren that he did not fully realize the “emotional baggage” that goes with the term “fascism,” but further explained his opposition to the health care law, saying it’s the opposite of “free enterprise capitalism.”

Comments:
He may have said he found the word "fascism" inappropriate he did not back off of his defense of free enterprise capitalism and how detrimental 0bamacare is. 0bamacare is indeed fascism.

True, most people have no clue what Fascism is. Better to use words the typical Obama supporter and WholeFoods shopper can understand.

Michael Berry had a great spoof ad on his show last night which started with the proud owner of a new laundromat announcing his "Whites Only" laundromat where only white clothing would be allowed in the washing machines, but the resluting saving would be passed on to the customers with a large reduction in the cost to clean clothing. This was followed with the owner attempting to apologize for his "poor and thoughtless choice of word," but he kept making it worse.

Um, GM anyone? Government being inappropriately involved in independent business is Fascism. THe word has devolved in recent usage to indicate anyone who is inappropriately authoritarian, but the word still has a legitimate use.

I don´t really blame him for being a sniveling coward in this.

Whole Foods customer base is pretty much 99.9% NØbama voters. Hippies and ´´Limousine Lie-berals´´ in every aisle. It´s bad business sense to make your base unhappy.

Most conservatives are too smart to pay for the ridiculously overpriced stuff they sell in their stores, so even if he had stayed true to what he said before, he didn´t really have anything to gain.

Welcome to the PC reality of a dying republic. I just can´t decide if it would be smarter to learn Chinese, Spanish or Arabic to please the new owners who buy this country for pennies on the dollar when it completes it´s inevitable collapse under Comradde NØbama...

President Obama is aware of abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell’s murder trial, but White House Press Secretary Jay Carney wouldn’t speculate about whether Obama might not support legislation such as the Born Alive Act that he opposed as a state senator. “You’re asking for hypotheticals about legislation or proposed legislation that I haven’t seen,” Carney replied when Fox News’ Ed Henry asked if Obama, having voted against a Born Alive Act in the Illinois state legislature, thought the Gosnell case suggested there was a need for such a law. “The president is aware of this,” Carney also said, adding that

If you sell a gun to your son, “there’s something wrong with your family," says New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. In a radio appearance on Friday, Bloomberg, a gun control activist and co-chair of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, praised the legislation that is now moving forward in the Senate. The bill would require universal background checks for most sales of firearms, including those online and at gun shows. “The only thing it would not cover is if you sold a gun to your son, for example,” Bloomberg told radio host John Gambling.

Because we don’t have sensible gun legislation.” Jackson Lee continued by saying that current gun laws need to be enforced,

Since he first became a presidential candidate, President Obama must have spent millions of dollars in legal expenses to combat dozens of so-called "birther" challenges seeking the original documents pertaining to his birth. As president, he famously issued an electronic document on the White House website in 2011; the document purported to be his long-form birth certificate, though it is apparently a forgery. In addition, he has taken great pains to hide the paper trail of passport records, college transcripts, and other data -- all of which a prospective employer might require of a job applicant.

Is media bias to blame for lack of Gosnell coverage? Or something far more banal? The trial of Philadelphia doctor Kermit Gosnell would seem to have all the elements of a spectacular news story: shocking allegations, horrifying visuals, sympathetic victims. Yet until late last week, much of the national media was silent as testimony about Gosnell’s alleged “house of horrors” abortion clinic rolled out. Much of the media attention outside Philadelphia, in fact, centered on how little media attention the story was receiving outside Philadelphia.

President Obama and I were college classmate at Columbia University, class of ’83. I know all too well how mindlessly liberal the students and faculty of that institution can be, and Barack Obama is certainly no exception. My time at Columbia made it crystal clear: liberals always believe they are morally superior. [Snip] It is in this cesspool of intolerance that Obama and his Marxist cronies hatched a secret plan to destroy our country. There are two things you need to know about Obama at Columbia University. First, he was Pre Law and a Political Science major- just like me.
