| You came away with this on Thursday night, after we finally saw the interview that Oprah Winfrey did with Lance Armstrong on Monday in Austin: Armstrong was much more compelling as a liar than he was trying to tell the truth to Oprah with about as much feeling as somebody reciting a grocery list. Why is Lance Armstrong and the Notre Dame linebacker the top two stories in the country,when the country itself is going down the tubes and possibly headed towards a civil war?
We could also be headed towards a huge war in the middle east,once Obama has the pieces in place to attack Israel.
Why isn´t anyone seriously questioning the nationwide stampede at gun shows and other outlets to buy guns,ammo? The simple answer is people are afraid of new restrictions,taxes etc.To me,people realize we´re headed to a last stand against Obama overthrowing the government in which he could declare virtually anything.
People don´t want their kids being brought up in a centralized,communist country,where independence and a shot at success are being challenged.The brainwashing at the school level has gone on steroids.

Ditto, #5. And throw in all the guys (and maybe gals) that have been juicing in every sport for decades. Even the amateur cyclists have some who are doing it.
Les Frogges have always been hacked that an American won so many times. I´ll bet if they took the effort they could find a lot more cheaters from their own country.

Add the name of Michelle Lynne (ne Robert) Kosilek to the list of modern phenomena the Founding Fathers would definitely not appreciate being blamed for. Little did they know what havoc they would someday wreak by adding the Eighth Amendment to the Constitution to prohibit “cruel and unusual punishment.” Now comes Kosilek, a convicted wife murderer doing life without parole. He/she is claiming that it would be cruel and unusual punishment to deny him/her a sex-change operation — excuse me, “gender-reassignment surgery.”Not to get too graphic, but Kosilek is begging for elective amputation of a body part.

The Dow Jones industrial average fell 40.86 points to 14565.25 after the Labor Department announced that the seasonally adjusted number of new jobs created in March was just 88,000 — far below the 190,000 or so Wall Street expected. The March figure was also less than one-third the number of jobs created during February. This led to the misperception that the job market tanked in March. It didn’t.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise.
