Don´t give Abomination too much time.

Make him, and the Democrats, actually propose ideas that will resolve the issue instead of just complaining.

After all, the Democrats have controlled the Senate for 6 years, and Obama has been president for 4 years now.

Ask, "what have Senate Democrats been doing to solve the deficit problems over the last 4 years"?

Remember, in Sept 2008 the Democrats where howling about GWB´s $450 deficit as extreme and excessive.

The House Repubs should pass a Continuing Resolution for defense and social secutrity, and let the rest of the government shut down.

Let the senate and zippy veto or ignore the CR. then, each day the government is shut down is that much less the baseline budget to operate off of is.

All raising the debt level will do is give zippy more time to howl about the evil rich.

How much are our elected representatives getting paid again for doing nothing but Kick The Can? Who knew playing meaningless games could finance such respectable careers?

Obviously,this is a trial balloon being floated out by "leaks" in the meetings.Once they gauge reaction,they´ll work on a course.

Not to excuse what the republicans are doing but they do have significant problems to deal with.

Number one,is the entire media being steadfastly in Obama´s tank.They´ve even started to report news on the friggin weather channel to turn people against republicans.
They´re simply using the term "congress" meaning republicans.

As bad as Obama getting re-elected is/was,the real problem is there´s that many idiots in this country.Republicans are still shell shocked that Obama won.The reason is simple.The sub text of the results showed that people no longer care about jobs or the debt/deficit,both republican strong suits.The left absolutely had to defeat Romney because they knew jobs would come back in droves if he was elected.

They also knew Romney would cut spending which would rob union coffers to donate to dems.Dirtbags that are getting filthy rich over boondoggle green spending would have been cut out.Obama bundlers were simply donating free recycled government money.

The point is republicans have no idea where they and their positions stand with the American public.

We have a developing situation with American hostages being killed in an Islamic attack in Tunisia and the media is AWOL on it.Jay Carney says the WH is monitoring the situation and the media is relieved they´re doing something. Monitoring Americans being killed in a botched rescue mission is good enough for them.Hillary Clinton is also working the phones,which is very reassuring.

This is Speaker Gringrich´s plan. When he shut down the government in the mid-´90´s, his career never recovered. He speaks from experience.
It´s a good plan, but the dems have nothing to lose and everything to gain by growing government. They pretend that deficits don´t matter; they just keep on spending.
Americans are going to have to feel some real pain--and I mean Weimar government pain--before most begin to understand how runaway spending is like digging our own graves. As a nation, we´re just not there yet.
