Additions to be made to gun
laws for law enforcement

WABC-TV [New York], by Jim Hoffer

A troubling oversight has been found within New York State´s sweeping new gun laws. The ban on having high-capacity magazines, as it´s written, would also include law enforcement officers. Magazines with more than seven rounds will be illegal under the new law when that part takes effect in March. As the statute is currently written, it does not exempt law enforcement officers. Nearly every law enforcement agency in the state carries hand guns that have a 15 round capacity. A spokesman for the governor´s office called Eyewitness News to say, "We are still working out some details

#1, your attitude is pretty poor. I know first hand that the police cannot respond to crimes as they are initiated in most cases. That doesn´t mean that it doesn´t happen and when it does they don´t hesitate to put their life in danger to protect the innocent victims. They are also a pretty easy target for whoever wishes to target them and it does happen, unfortunately, too often.

Since criminals and crazy people heading out on their own personal suicide mission don´t obey laws, all the liberal NY politicians have done is harass law abiding New Yorkers, and have created a black market for the classes of guns and magazines that they have banned.

New York gun owners can certainly show their disdain for what the politicians have done there by moving to other more gun owner friendly States, or if they don´t want to do that, vote the politicians out in the next election who supported that over reaching gun control law.

Not so fast, friends.

The Left "knows" that what they call high-capacity magazines and semi-auto weapons are the problem. If not, why would they want to deny them to every citizen? And if the danger comes from the hi-cap magazines and the semi-auto mechanisms [and is not a product of criminal choices and acts], then yes, even law officers, Secret Service, even members of the military will have to be limited to 7-round magazines and non-auto-loaders.

Let´s get Cuomo to explain why the civilian police need military assault rifles.

MINNEAPOLIS — Even as President Obama and progressive activists are trying to sell the nation on hiking the national minimum wage to help restaurant workers and other low-wage employees, the Internal Revenue Service is seemingly determined to make life harder for those same workers. A change in tax policy implemented Jan. 1 will prevent restaurant workers from collecting automatic gratuities — the added 18 percent fee many restaurants charge to groups of eight or more — as part of their tips. Instead, that added fee will be included in their payroll, meaning workers have to wait up to two weeks

This week Obamacare passed an unflattering milestone. As of today, the Obama administration has spent longer botching the implementation of Obamacare than the Roosevelt and Truman administrations spent fighting and winning the Second World War. America’s involvement in World War II began on December 7, 1941, with the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. It ended 1,365 days later on September 2, 1945, with the surrender ceremony aboard the U.S.S. Missouri anchored in Tokyo Bay. President Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act into law on March 23, 2010. Today, December 18, 2013, marks the 1,366th day of post-enactment Obamacare implementation.

The number of children taking powerful antipsychotic drugs has nearly tripled over the last 10 to 15 years, according to recent research. The increase comes not because of an epidemic of schizophrenia or other forms of serious mental illness in children, but because doctors are increasingly prescribing the drugs to treat behavior problems, a use not approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). And a disproportionate number of those prescriptions are written for poor and minority children, some as young as age 2. A few hydrogen vehicles are already on the roads, such as the Honda FXC Clarity and Mercedes-Benz F-Cell, and more are planned. The Obama administration quietly finalized the Health Insurance Tax (HIT) over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, a provision in Obamacare that will cost nearly $60 billion over the next five years and raise health care premiums by 3 percent. The final rule, published on Nov. 27, imposes a fee beginning in 2014 for health insurers with premium revenues over $25 million per year. The annual tax is levied for “United States health risks,” and is hidden from consumers since it is directly assessed on health insurance companies. David R.
