| Around half of Asian Americans relied on ethnic media for news during the last election in which the growing community voted overwhelmingly for President Barack Obama, a study said Thursday. Massive support by minorities played a vital role in Obama´s re-election on November 6. Asian Americans made up 3.4 percent of the electorate and could play a greater future role as they form the fastest expanding racial group.(Snip)The detailed findings found that 77 percent of Asian Americans voted for Obama, slightly higher than earlier projections and capping a major shift toward his Democratic Party since the 1990s.

Sorry to burst your bubbles #s 3 & 4, but the city I live in is consistently in the top 10 in the country and is 35% Asian.
Nicer homes, higher achievement, more education and wealth than some states.
Most I know are from China and came here to become citizens. That goal now achieved they are furious that enough Americans were STUPID enough to "elect" those who will turn the US into the PROC.

In the UK, Pakistani and other immigrants from what we normally call "the Middle East" are call Asian. I think this euphemism can be confusing. Most Americans think Asian means people from the continent of Asia. OBTW, I wonder if Asians (from Asia) here in America noticed Obama omitted an Asian child from his pander-fest over gun control?

Williamson, W.Va.- The man suspected of killing a West Virginia sheriff as he ate lunch in his car was mentally disturbed and had no particular vendetta with law enforcement, his father told The Associated Press on Thursday. Melvin Maynard said his 37-year-old son, Tennis Melvin Maynard, was exposed to harmful chemicals and injured while working at an Alabama coal mine. He most likely did not target Mingo County Sheriff Eugene Crum, he said. "He would have probably shot anybody, the first one he come to, you know what I´m saying?" the elder Maynard said. Myron Ullman, Johnson´s predecessor at JCPenney, takes office as CEO. When Johnson was initially wooed by JCPenney, it was to serve as CEO with Ullman as Chairman.
