The Department of Homeland Security has released their 2011 "Analysts Desktop Binder," detailing how the department has been monitoring activity on the internet and social networks. The binder includes an extensive list of key words and search terms carefully watched by analysts in multiple agencies including the Directorate for National Protection and Programs, Directorate for Science and Technology, Office of Health Affairs, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and others. Many monitored search terms are basic and used on a regular basis by every day American citizens and journalists.

Words like freedom, liberty, senators, communists, president, constitution, weapons, defense, property, founders, preparations, etc.
must really make their program go nuclear. Probably causes nerve gas-like toxic reactions. Explodes the circuits like an EMP bomb would. I hope nobody figures out how to get a virus in their program. It might cause mass destruction.

A Binder is OK, as long as it doesn´t contain any persons of the female gender qualifications for a job.

Some smart BLOGGER needs to release a Binder that has code words for every word in the Analysts Desktop Binder. Then another, and another. Pretty soon, ALL words will ´mean something´ (as they do already).

Monitored Search Terms - that sounds pretty Fascist to me.

Kansas senator Pat Roberts hit back today at a New York Times story questioning whether the senator has a residence in his home state. “We had an interview with Jonathan Martin where we discussed the senator’s residency, and what turned up in the story is a distortion,” Sarah Little, the Roberts campaign’s communications director, tells National Review Online. Little says the senator is in Wichita today and goes back to the state whenever he can, and that the Times piece is a hit job. The Times reporter, Jonathan Martin, leads his story with a man-in-the-street interview of retiree Jerald Miller held at a

A Republican super PAC committed to defeating the tea party in 2014 congressional primaries is mostly funded by labor unions. The super PAC Defending Main Street, formed by moderate Republican and former congressman Steve LaTourette, has committed itself to destroying tea party challenges to establishment GOP candidates in the 2014 midterm elections. “Hopefully we’ll go into eight to 10 races and beat the snot out of them,” LaTourette said. His PAC has already committed itself to defending Republican Idaho Rep. What a coincidence! After Barack Obama became the first major-party candidate since Watergate to opt out of the presidential matching-fund system and its spending limits and raised hundreds of millions of dollars in two election cycles, wealthy liberal activists want Congress to impose a public-finance system for federal-government elections. In fact, it’s some of the same people that Obama’s broken promise to remain within that now-defunct system enabled: Some big Democratic donors have a message for Congress: Don’t rely so much on the rich to fill your campaign war chests. Several states are dumping their prison population’s healthcare onto Obamacare. At least six states and counties fromMaryland to Oregon’s Multnomah are getting inmates coverage under Obamacare and its expansion of Medicaid, the federal and state health-care program for the poor. The fledgling movement would shift to the federal government some of the more than $6.5 billion in annual state costs for treating prisoners. Proponents say it also will make recidivism rarer, because inmates released with coverage are more likely to get treatment for mental illness, substance abuse and other conditions that can lead them to crime. “When someone gets discharged from the

Only days ago the House Speaker floated a set of reform principles that opened the door to a potential compromise with Democrats and the Senate. But the response from the anti-reform right was

This is either a glaring admission of defeat from the White House or… no, that’s really all it could be. After weeks of defending the cancellation of health plans insurers discontinued in 2013 in order to comply with the Affordable Care Act’s coverage mandates, the White House announced in November of last year that it was urging insurers to reinstate those plans. The catch was, of course, that most insurers would be unable to turn on a dime and reinstate those plans. Furthermore, the administration allowed individual states leeway to determine whether or not they would even allow insurers to reinstate
