Personally, I am tired of Lance Armstrong and the stories about him. Typical Austinite, full of himself. Or maybe it´s Austonians. Who knows, who cares, other than them.
My niece thought twice as many out of town invitees would show up at her wedding because "after all, it´s in Austin". Home of people like Lance Armstrong.

#2, I´m unaware of any baseball or football player who wielded his own power to threaten, demonize and discredit his opponents while getting rich off his tainted victories. The US Postal Service sponsoring him was defrauded, the Times of London, too. I´m not sure the sport of cycling will ever completely recover from the Armstrong ring of corruption and scandal.

Compared to our prez, lance looks good. If there were any justice, bammyears would be in jail for not being a real prez who has taken our money and supported mooslim terrorists. Criminal is not what I would call Lance - who really cares any more?

I don´t particulary care personally for Lance Armstrong but he gets the brunt of the hate because in a sport that has so much doping in it, he was the most successful of the dopers. Also the coverup is always results in being worse than the actual thing they are covering up. And Armstrong was the king of the coverup. I still don´t know why he would admit these things at this time. I see no upside except trying to eliminate internal guilt.

If all the cyclist were doping; and Lance was the best among all the dopers; and there was no non doper that he couldn´t have beat if he wasn´t doping then the logical conclusion is he was the number one cyclist.

Aside from the doping issue you have to have some pity for the lives he ruined. I´m talking about the ones that told the truth and lost their livelihood as the result. Armstrong calculates how this "confession" will work to his advantage.

Arianna Huffington partied so hard in her rented Chelsea loft that it looked like a scene from Animal House after a rowdy frat party, according to a new lawsuit. When Huffington departed the 4,400 square foot, seven-story apartment at 227 W. 17th Street in January she´d caused $275,000 in damages ranging from "gouged, stained and otherwise damaged" walls, "scratched, punctured" wood floors, bloodied mattresses and broken appliances, the Manhattan Supreme Court suit charges. "Huffington was using the apartment for large parties and business functions in breach of the sublease and Huffington´s promises," court papers allege.

Although the term "useful idiots" was originally attributed to Vladimir Lenin, its origin is undetermined but it is very applicable to the naïve celebrities in Hollywood and the media now mourning the death of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. Much like the devotees of Fidel Castro and Che Guevara, these grieving individuals have made no effort to learn the truth about those they lionize. One has to feel some pity for the likes of the Sean Penns, Oliver Stones, Michael Moores, Danny Glovers, and idolaters who naively support malignant despots and causes believing them to be a force for good.

North Korea’s young leader Kim Jong-un is waiting for United States President Barack Obama to make a phone call to Pyongyang to discuss easing tensions on the Korean peninsula, according to Russia’s news agency Itar-Tass.
