Chuck Todd: Obama ‘Spent

Mediaite, by Matt Wilstein

President Obama signed 23 executive actions to curb gun violence during an event at the White House today, but MSNBC’s Chuck Todd told Andrea Mitchell shortly after that “this wasn’t a simple policy roll-out.” Todd went on to explain that “this was the launch of an emotional campaign, this was an emotional president, and he was using any possible tool he could have in order to try to launch a campaign” for gun safety legislation. By surrounding himself with children who had written letters to the White House urging action on guns and invoking the memory

This president just has so much credibility we trust every word he says.

His emotiona are just so very genuine.

We know how much he cares about children, especially the born alive after an abortion attempt.

Emotions cloud thinking with irrelevant and frequently wrong ideas. Typical leftist baloney, and of course, it leads to the wrong answers.

The only thing that stops a bad person with a gun is a good person with a gun, police officer, armed security guard or legally armed private citizen. Gunfree zones are a major benefit for violent lunatics.

"magazine clip"? Please...

The Newtown shooting was over a month ago. Firearms and firearm regulations have been discussed in the news daily since then.

How hard would it be to find out what a magazine is?

How hard would it be to find out what a clip is?

How hard would it be to determine there is no such thing as a "magazine clip", anymore than there is such a thing as an "assault weapon"...?

Guinea faces an Ebola epidemic on an unprecedented scale as it battles to contain confirmed cases now scattered across several locations that are far apart, medical charity Medecins Sans Frontieres said on Monday. The warning from an organization used to tackling Ebola in Central Africa comes after Guinea´s president appealed for calm as the number of deaths linked to an outbreak on the border with Liberia and Sierra Leone hit 80. The outbreak of one of the world´s most lethal infectious diseases has spooked a number of governments with weak health systems, prompting Senegal to close its border with Guinea

Margaret Thatcher famously commented on the European welfare state spending, “The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people´s money” to spend. European elites are panicking over a report in the Financial Times of London titled "Data Deepen Eurozone Deflation Fears." With government spending at 50% of the gross domestic product, the 28 countries of the European Union have pursued economic policies that generate inflation to spike tax collections by pushing their citizens into higher progressive tax brackets. Having stifled economic growth and used inflation to tax away prosperity, European elites should panic. Both Europe and America

When it comes to women in the White House, Sarah Palin takes the cake in Americans’ eyes, a new poll found. The Economist/YouGov poll asked participants which female candidate — other than Hillary Clinton — they’d like to see run for the high office. Mrs. Palin won 9 percent of the vote, Breitbart reported. She was followed by Sen. Elizabeth Warren and former Secretary of State and National Security Adviser Condoleeza Rice, at 8 percent each. Almost two-thirds of respondents said America was more than ready to elect a woman to president. First lady Michelle Obama only won 2 percentage points,

New technical problems with HealthCare.gov posed a roadblock Monday to people trying to beat the sign-up deadline. On Monday afternoon, a technical glitch was preventing people from filing new applications. A tech team, though, was brought in to resolve the issue. Earlier Monday, a series of error messages came up as the large volume of users stressed the system. According to HHS, more than 100,000 people were using the system at once as of noon. The increased traffic is good news for the administration, but the recurring website problems are not. The deadline to sign up for the president´s signature

Not one word in the Affordable Care Act guarantees health plans will cover birth control products.

They say it contains enzymes known as HMGF (hydroxy methyl glutaryl flavonones) which can attack proteins in the body known to cause heart disease. The study found bergamot could even be as effective as statins, used to control cholesterol but which can have side effects in
