See It: A Massachusetts man
is savagely beaten outside
pizza shop in Greenwich Village

New York Daily News, by Shane Dixon Kavanaugh*

A heinous beatdown in the heart of Greenwich Village has left a Massachusetts man fighting for his life. Kevin McCarron, 24, was bashed with a tire iron, baseball bat and blackjack and stomped repeatedly by a gang of toughs in the middle of MacDougal St. early Sunday, police and witnesses said. Cops on Monday busted 24-year-old Hatem Farsakh of Brooklyn, who was arraigned on charges of attempted murder and assault. Onlookers were horrified by the savage attack. “I started screaming for someone to call the police,” said a 25-year-old woman who captured the incident on video.

One of the witnesses could have pulled a weapon and stopped the murder attempt right then - oh, wait...NYC uses tax dollars to knowingly and deliberately violate American citizens civil rights where keeping and bearing weaponns is concerned. Guess the police were minutes away, so the victim is out numbered and out of luck.

Well, at least, the police came an, as is their usual role, picked up the pieces of the victim and took down notes. Police are not there to "protect" anyone. They are there merely to examine and record the aftermath of mayhem and destruction and, perhaps, in one case in seven, arrest the persons responsible, who then have a one chance in three of being convicted of the crime. Victims are seldom involved in any of the process other than as evidence. Their sole protection from such violence is within their own ability to protect themselves.

FTA: "I was videoing & it was hard to watch & I screamed for someone to call the police."

•Taking video with a cellphone, perhaps?

FTA re: the bouncer---"brutal fight"
•How is it a "fight" when only one side is armed and the victim is not Chuck Norris, Bruce Lee, or "Grasshopper" Carradine?

Like someone up topic said, "A citizen with a gun could have ended it."

That´s right...the poor guy was not allowed to protect himself from a gang of armed thugs by having a gun. If he did, they would have arrested him and made him a felon. Now that he has been beaten within an inch of his life, he won´t be able to get any painkillers because Nanny Bloomberg is worried about people becoming addicted. And then if the guy just wants to at least enjoy a soda or have a little salt to make his broth edible, too bad...Bloomberg won´t let him have that small comfort either. Poor guy is screwed.

It all started with an email. The message landed in my inbox on Monday, March 24, sent by a source I trust. “The FEC Has a Question for Harry Reid,” the subject line teased, and inside was a link to a document on the Federal Election Commission’s website. The document itself didn’t seem all that sensational. “Please amend Schedule B supporting line 17 of your report to clarify the following description: ‘holiday gifts,’” it instructed Reid’s campaign office. The line item in question specified that $11,370 had been paid to one Ryan Elisabeth for said holiday gifts. I made a

The Senate approved a bill Monday to bar a former hostage-taker tapped to be Iran´s ambassador to the United Nations from entering the United States. By voice vote, Republicans and Democrats united behind the legislation sponsored by Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, that reflected congressional animosity toward Tehran and its selection of Hamid Aboutalebi. Iran´s envoy choice was a member of a Muslim student group that held 52 Americans hostage for 444 days in the 1979 seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran. President Barack Obama today suggested that’s he’ll pressure Congress to to reduce voters’ student-loan payments before the November elections. “We’ve got to make it easier to repay student loans,” he told a subdued and unresponsive audience at Bladensburg High School, in Prince George’s County, Md. Obama might have destroyed America´s economic recovery and healthcare system, but we can at least thank him for inspiring a 4.5 star superhero movie.
