PETA begs Obama to
include hunting ban

Washington Examiner, by Paul Bedard

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 1/16/2013 9:46:52 AM

Wondering if the administration is "against senseless violence and slaughter, or it isn´t," People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is making an 11th hour pitch to President Obama to include a hunting ban in his gun control measures to be unveiled Wednesday. "Americans´ views are evolving on many issues, from same-sex marriage to gun control, and the time is right to reconsider the dangerous message that the practice of killing animals for fun is acceptable and should even be protected," Tracy Reiman, PETA´s executive vice president said in a letter to Obama.

Comments:
Who would have ever believed we would be reading things like this. It is really disturbing to see how many irrational, deranged people there are in this country. I don´t think even 0bama is stupid enough to try to pull off this stunt, not that he wouldn´t like to.

Why not include it? Not a single one of his EOs are constitutional or carry lawful legal authority concerning arms so ignore them all. He can appease his base and PO any low-information hunters out there at the same time, a two-fer!

I don´t hunt. I have no desire to hurt any living creature though I will if threatened. That is the choice I made based primarily on spiritual beliefs.
Even so, with knuckleheads like this trying to tell me I can´t it almost makes me want to take it up.

Makes sense from the PETA standpoint.

If they´re ever going to get what they want, it will be from jugears. He doesn´t care at all for real America, so anything that be an imposition upon us, he would be the one to ask.

I think the country needs to divide into two. There is no reconciliation possible any more.

Yeah, let´s just ban hunting. That will be so humane.

Of course, when the wild animal populations boom and they quicly use up the food supplies in their habitats, there will be lots of starving and dead animals laying all over the place.

But I guess starving is a much more humane way to die to a member of PETA, since it´s ´´natural´´.

First lady Michelle Obama unveiled a proposed new nutrition label Thursday, claiming the labels would make it easier for families to tell whether food is healthy. Because math is hard, or something. If your “nanny-state” radar is going off, it should. The new label really doesn’t appear to be much different from the old one. The “servings per container” font is larger and bolder, the “calories” section is much larger and bolder and the “percent daily value” column was moved to the left side (have to spend that tax money on something). The first lady said the serving size for many foods would be

The White House on Thursday said that President Obama and House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, discussed immigration reform during their recent meeting but declined to say if the leaders had made any progress on long-delayed legislation. “I can certainly confirm that immigration was one of the topics they discussed,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. Obama and Boehner met in the Oval Office on Tuesday for an hourlong meeting. Carney, though, refused to characterize the tone of their discussion on immigration, saying only that “there is broad agreement that this is an issue that needs to be addressed.” “We´ve seen that in

The phenomenon of global warming has been used to explain many things, but now Mother Jones is quoting a study saying it might cause more rapes of women. Matthew Ranson, an economist, avers that there is a historical connection between warmer temperatures and increased crime. He said, "Looking at the past, we see a strong relationship between temperature and crime. We think that is likely to continue in the future." Ranson utilized the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change´s projections of the effects of global warming in the U.S. to estimate that between 2010 and 2099, warmer temperatures will "cause" an

While agreements at those schools were rescinded, expansion of a fourth school was also blocked.
