Obama´s Executive Disarmament
Confirms that the Tea
Party Can Not Go Away

American Thinker, by Lloyd Marcus

Original Article

Posted By:JoniTx, 1/16/2013 8:53:58 AM

Obama brings kids to the White House as props for photo-op and as an emotional appeal to unveil his illegal gun control plans. Obama despicably using kids to undermine the Second Amendment via executive order is a perfect example of why the Tea Party cannot go away. Due to extensive media coverage of Obama´s Disarmament Show, low-info voters will cry hearing stories of how guns make kids fearful and give Obama carte blanche, regardless of the Constitution. Predicting from their pattern of spineless behavior, Republicans will probably simply go along with Obama´s illegal dictates.

The Tea Party lost its effectiveness because we stopped marching on DC. The first march was massive and scared the daylights out of the politicians. We need to march on Washington again regarding the 2nd Amendment and the debt ceiling.

We showed our power in the 2010 election. Unfortunately too many stayed home in 2012. Never underestimate the power of these marches. If nothing else, they get the politicians attention.

I also agree its time for a third party. The Republicans were given their chance and they abandoned all of us. As good a man as Romney was, he was a horrible candidate. Many people I know wanted to volunteer for him in NJ. He had not one campaign office in the state. It was as if we didn´t matter.

A huge part of the failure of the GOP was to refuse to back Akin and Mourdock who were both once favored. They both made defensible statements that were misconstrued and exploited by the demns to thwart their wins for the Senate and the GOP failed to respond.

Our biggest worry is the shift of the Supreme Court to a leftist bunch of hacks like Sotomayor and Kagan. The GOP failed US miserably and needs to be taken to task at the 2014 polls. They are a collective bunch who have disgraced us.

And how many children have died in "gun control" haven Chicago this entire time? Enough to be several Newtowns every year...but we won´t hear about that. No, you law-abiding citizens need to surrender your rights.

Disgusting.

Nearly one month after Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) spoke before a group of oilfield executives and employees to announce his idea of an American Energy Renaissance Act to increase jobs and energy independence—his office recently announced the filing of similarly-named legislation. During his speech reported on by Breitbart Texas in February, Cruz said, “The American energy renaissance that is beginning before our eyes can help save us from the Obama economy.” Sen. Cruz announced--in conjunction with Congressman Jim Bridenstine (R-OK)--the filing of legislation that could bring the goal of new, high-paying jobs for Americans to reality. Together, the Republicans announced

Obamacare’s Score of 67

In school, a child who gets a 67 percent will generally get a D. But for Obamacare, 67 percent is apparently grounds for an A. Talk about grading on a curve. In 2012, the Congressional Budget Office projected that 9 million people would get health insurance for 2014 through Obamacare’s government-run exchanges. Two days ago, the Obama administration announced that 6 million people had gotten insurance for 2014 through those very same exchanges—and the administration could barely contain its glee. So, what gives? In the summer of 2012, the Supreme Court issued its Obamacare ruling, holding that Obamacare’s individual mandate was

It was an interesting day for Clint Didier. The former Washington Redskins tight end and current congressional candidate — he’s running for the Washington House seat that Doc Hastings will vacate upon retirement — has been in Washington, D.C., since Tuesday, meeting with groups, sitting down with prominent conservative politicians, and working to garner support for his congressional bid. And now he’s got an interesting conversation-starter. A poll commissioned by his campaign and provided first to the Washington Examiner indicates that he has 70 percent name recognition in the district and is leading his nearest opponent for the Republican nomination

Visitors to Sprinkles Cupcakes’ new Cupcake ATM, which opened this week, declared the desserts worth the wait. The company opened a pink 24-hour Cupcake ATM on Tuesday outside its Lexington Avenue location, giving people the chance to swipe their credit cards and choose from a variety of flavors, vanilla to banana chocolate, delivered in boxes to a window. The cupcakes cost $4.25 apiece with a limit of four per person and can also be purchased in the store when the store is open. (But really, why would you?) BRUSSELS— NATO’s next leader was announced Friday: former Norwegian Premier Jens Stoltenberg will lead the military alliance starting in October. The appointment comes at a critical time as the crisis over Ukraine has suddenly made the 28-nation alliance a more relevant security force in Europe. NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen will step down after a NATO summit in Wales later this year. “Warm congratulations” Fogh Rasmussen said in a Twitter message Friday to his fellow Scandinavian politician. The past weeks had seen a flurry of diplomacy as member states sought to push their candidates into NATO’s top political job. Norwegian

Two council members in Hampden, Maine, have sparked a widespread furor — that just keeps getting wider, thanks to videotape technology — for their refusal to stand before meetings for the Pledge of Allegiance to the American flag. One of the council members, Vietnam veteran Thomas Brann, said he’s opted not to stand for the pledge since January, when it was ruled a council policy, The Blaze reported. But he said he has good reason. Mr. Brann, who’s served on the council for 14 years, told The Blaze that he didn’t care for the reason Mayor Carol Duprey gives for

Jeremiah A. He was 89. The cause was complications from a heart ailment, said his son Jim Denton. Adm. Denton was a native of Alabama, where in 1980 he became the state’s first Republican to win election to the Senate since Reconstruction.

Okay, THAT was certainly embarrassing. At the end of a joint news conference with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte in the Netherlands on Tuesday, the applause for Barack Obama came from a grand total of one guy. One. After thanking the crowd twice for suffering through his boring, standard worn-out spiel, Obama looked around the room, expecting the usual fanfare and applause he receives from his loyal followers back home. It never came. Instead, the Leader of the Free World was met with one slow, awkward clap. Question: was MSNBC’s Chris Matthews in the house?

The goal of the meeting: Focus on areas where two of the world´s most influential men agree and gently tread ground where they differ. According to the AP-GFK survey released Wednesday, 59 percent disapprove of Obama´s job performance while 41 percent approve. A similar poll released by the news outlet in January found 45 percent approved of him while 53 percent disapproved. Other recent polling has found Obama´s disapproval rating slightly lower, remaining in the low 50s. On Tuesday night two things happened. 1. A trio of Secret Service agents were sent home from Amsterdam after one was found passed out drunk in a hotel hallway. 2. The Obama Administration announced (another) extension of the enrollment deadline for Obamacare signups. At first glance, these two events have little in common with one another. But, modern politics is all about narratives and storylines. And, both of these events confirm a growing concern from the public about President Obama: That he´s just not up to governing his administration and, by extension, the country, effectively.

One by one, the myths of the Affordable Care Act have been revealed. When the curtain on open enrollment falls on March 31, the last remaining big myth of ObamaCare will be fully exposed: The individual mandate has failed. After a last-ditch effort with President Obama himself encouraging "young invincibles" to sign up before the deadline, the administration is scrambling to boost enrollment. On Tuesday, the White House announced that people who applied for coverage on the federal health-insurance exchange will have until mid-April to finish the paperwork. When Jorge Mario Bergoglio became Pope Francis a little more than a year ago, the first thing that struck those who knew him well was his unexpected, beatific smile. “In Argentina, he didn’t smile like that,” Sergio Rubin, the pope’s biographer, said this week at a conference sponsored by the Ethics and Public Policy Center. “That was the big surprise.” Since then, the pope has mostly kept on smiling — in homilies, in audiences, in meetings with the homeless and the poor.
