Obama Demands Quick
Action to Raise Debt Limit

Associated Press, by Julie Pace

Original Article

Posted By:DW626, 1/14/2013 2:59:44 PM

Washington - President Barack Obama demanded on Monday that lawmakers raise the nation´s $16.4 trillion federal debt limit quickly, warning that "Social Security benefits and veterans´ checks will be delayed" if they don´t and cautioning Republicans not to insist on cuts to government spending in exchange. "They will not collect a ransom in exchange for not crashing the economy," he said at the 21st and final news conference of his first term. "The full faith and credit of the United States of America is not a bargaining chip. And they better decide quickly because time is running short."

FTA: "They will not collect a ransom in exchange for not crashing the economy,"

The president gets his ransom AND crashes the economy.

What we should do very quickly is recount the votes.

Since the constitution is so flexible, let´s extend consideration of the
Electoral College´s initial estimate.

As little more than a gummint estimate, it could have been way off.
Seems to many that it was.

Quick recount is in order.
Constitution? Be damned!

Social security checks come from a trust fund, separate from the federal budget.

And President Zero, as a u.s. senator, voted against raising the debt limit.
He said it was treasonous, or some such words.

Not all leaders are tyrants, and some resist tyrants. This creep communist is becoming the most hated tyrant since Caesar, and I wouldn´t be surprised if he has his Ides of March moment.

Since the President gets his authority from the Constitution, and when he violates his authority with illegal actions and demands, he betrays the trust of the American people, and becomes their enemy. I don´t think they can protect him or his cabal from a free people.

How did Nero end? Mussolini? Hitler? Stalin? Mao? Castro? Chavez? The modern tyrants all disarmed their people.

#4, was that algorezero´s Lock Box... ?

No funds for Social Security have ever been saved in any way.
They´ve all been spent as we go.
Recipients get theirs.
The rest is always spent on the general budget, very conveniently for liberoids.

Only IOU´s have been thrown in a drawer for later reference.
Once the drawdown begins, funds have to come from taxes.
Nothing has ever been saved.
It´s always all been spent each year.

The fight is on. A growing — and furious — fight between the conservative base of the Republican Party and its Establishment elites in Washington is rapidly taking shape. Senator Ted Cruz took to Sean Hannity’s television show Tuesday night and took on Karl Rove, who had immediately preceded him on the show. In response to Rove’s strategy (Rove compared the defunding strategy to the famous — and losing — Pickett’s Charge of the Battle of Gettysburg). In a perverse bit of post-trial agitprop, ABC News somehow recruited the one woman of color on George Zimmerman´s "all white" jury and twisted her words to reflect the presumed editorial position of ABC News. In this clip from an exclusive Robin Roberts interview which has played just about everywhere including CBS News, Roberts says to the juror, "Some people have said, point blank, ´George Zimmerman got away with murder.´ How do you respond to those people who say that?" In the edited video ABC floated about, "Maddy" answers unhesitatingly, "George Zimmerman got away with murder.

It should come as no surprise that some of the very worst rants about George Zimmerman’s acquittal are coming from an Ivy League professor. The competition is stiff, but will be hard-pressed to keep up with Anthea Butler, an associate professor of religious studies at the University of Pennsylvania. The Zimmerman verdict has caused Butler to conclude that God is “a white racist god with a problem” who “is carrying a gun and stalking young black men.” There are conclusions Butler could have reached short of equating her caricature of Zimmerman with God.

Perhaps I´m just a creepy-a** cracka´ who doesn´t get it. But it always seems that when it comes to standards, the left gives you two for the price of one. And the idea that white people "can´t" understand black folks -- a similar point to which was made in a recent article about the George Zimmerman trial -- is a good example. But before getting to that particular piece, I have a question: is the issue here that one race simply cannot understand another? Or is this really just restricted to white people?

This is what happens when the President of the United States is dragged into making foreign and defense policy decisions, instead of determining American interests and then making policy to suit. And it is what happens when the president fails to make a clear case for those policies not only to the American public, but also to his own cabinet. It had been understood that senior members of the Obama administration wanted to provide arms to Syrian rebel forces in opposition to the Assad regime.
