Obama: Gun Lobby "Ginning

Will Take Away All Your Guns

OBAMA: As far as people lining up and purchasing more guns, I think that we´ve seen for some time now that those who oppose any common sense gun control or gun safety measures have a pretty effective way of ginning up fear on the part of gun owners, that somehow the federal government´s about to take all your guns away. And there´s probably an economic element to that. It is obviously is good for business. But I think that those of us who look at this problem have repeatedly said that responsible gun owners, people

Comments:
As a state senator in Illinois Obama opposed legislation providing an exception to handgun restrictions if the weapon was used in the defense of one’s home. He is a dangerous lying tyrant.

Could obamao point out which gun control laws right now on the books, are not ´common sense´.?
BTW...It´s not the ´Gun Lobby that´s ginning up fear´. It´s the marxists in D.C who are threatening our Second Amendment rights.

Good OP, thanks for citing that gun grab vote on zippy´s record. That was one instance when zippy didn´t vote "present" in the Illinois Assembly.

Also, he filled out a survey in the 90´s where he went on the record in favor of a ban on the manufacture, sale, and distribution of handguns. This incident came up during the 08 campaign. The obama denied it, and said an associate had filled out the form, which is another big lie because zippy´s handwriting is found on the survey.

Color me unimpressed. FTA ~ ´But I think that, you know, those of us who look at this problem have repeatedly said that responsible gun owners, people who have a gun for protection, for hunting, for sportsmanship -- they don’t have anything to worry about. The issue here is not whether or not we believe in the Second Amendment.

This from the same guy who told us we could keep our health care if we liked it.
DO NOT believe anything this character says; keep watching what he DOES.

Has he seen what is being proposed in New York?

Basically that renders inoperable any firearm that hasn´t be designed for 7-round magazines?

No grandfather clause?

Instant felons made out of law abiding citizens at the stroke of a pen?

This is what BHO would subject this nation to.

Which translated means, I will use Executive Orders if I want to"
How did that gun tracking work out in Fast and Furious?

Soooo, big brother wants to take away certain select guns, but not "all" of them.

A lot more children have died from gunshot wounds on the South side of Chicago this year than in the Newton shooting. There a lot more "common sense" gun laws there than anywhere else in the country. How many of the shooters underwent background checks and used their legally purchased firearms to commit their crimes? How many made sure they used guns that would not accept a magazine that would hold more than ten (or seven) rounds? Someone should have asked the won during his press conference. He should know the answers, it´s the community he organized.

From my understanding, deputy Morgan Earp died, shot in the back by a thug in a town where only law enforcement was allowed to carry any firearm. Funny, that thug didn´t care about the law either way back then. As Mark Levin has said so well "It´s the Bill of Rights, not the Bill of Needs." And, my rights don´t end at your opinion of how many rounds you think I might need for protection.

I´ve heard it said, you don´t know how many rounds you´ll need until it´s over and time taken reloading can get you killed.

I´m not afraid. I´m ticked off with this government gun grab.

Second, if Obama tries to legislate by fiat that our Second Amendment has been rendered IN ANY WAY null and void, it will be grounds for impeachment, and the articles should be filed immediately.

Without the Second Amendment, how does any of the rest of the Constitution survive?

Without it, how does THIS COUNTRY SURVIVE?

in 2006 Obama said: "The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."

The Washington Post has an outrageous story about how the Treasury Department is going after thousands of Americans to collect on debts — which may not have ever been real debts — it says deceased family members owed the government. A few weeks ago, with no notice, the U.S. government intercepted Mary Grice’s tax refunds from both the IRS and the state of Maryland. Grice had no idea that Uncle Sam had seized her money until some days later, when she got a letter saying that her refund had gone to satisfy an old debt to the government — a very old debt. When Grice was 4, back in 1960, her father died,

President Obama labeled complaints about voter fraud “bogus” and accused Republicans of cynically trying to prevent Americans from accessing the polls in a fiery speech Friday at a civil rights forum hosted by Al Sharpton. "She is not welcome here in San Diego by so many of us. We don´t want her here," said Jan Iverson, a local mother and protestor. (Snip) Clinton´s office says she changed plans because of

Barack Obama got quite the handful on Thursday, April 10, but it was all for a good cause! As the President of the United States was boarding Air Force One with his wife Michelle Obama, a gust of wind blew up her skirt. Barack quickly stepped in and grabbed the First Lady´s billowing skirt to help her avoid a wardrobe malfunction and embarrassing Marilyn Monroe moment. Earlier in the week, another famous lady on the global stage suffered a similar snafu, but no one was around to help her -- not even her prince!

Big Government: As students flood Twitter with images of inedible slop, it´s clear that Michelle Obama´s government school lunch revamp is a costly failure. It´s time to get the feds out of kids´ lunch boxes. The $12 billion federal student lunch program, which serves 30.7 million kids, is losing participants fast — more than a million just last year, according to a recent Government Accountability Office report. The reason: the first lady´s Healthy Hunger-free Kids Act, an act that has accomplished exactly the opposite of what it claimed it would — leaving hungry, angry, disgusted kids and dumpsters full of wasted

Recently elected Democratic Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe is warning that global warming could raise sea levels high enough to flood the Hampton Roads region, home to the world´s largest naval base, without immediate and “smart decisions.” Addressing an environmental summit this week at the Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Va., McAuliffe embraced climate change, blamed humans for causing it, and said action is needed now to protect Virginia´s coast from rising ocean levels that will result from global warming. “The first big decision of course is to accept that climate change is real,” he told the group. “I happen to believe in

Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) could face up to five years in federal prison for obstructing a Congressional proceeding. On Wednesday, Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) and five Subcommittee Chairmen on the committee sent a letter to Ranking Member Cummings demanding an explanation for his staff’s queries from the IRS, why the Minority hid these efforts from the Majority, and why the Ranking Member denied such actions by his staff at a February Subcommittee hearing: “Although you have previously denied that your staff made inquiries to the IRS about conservative organization True the Vote that may have led to additional

Following the massacre of grammar-school children in Newtown, Conn., in December 2012, high-powered weapons have been used to kill innocent victims in more senseless public incidents. Those killings, however, are only a fragment of the total harm caused by the misuse of firearms. Each year, more than 30,000 people die in the United States in firearm-related incidents. Many of those deaths involve handguns. The adoption of rules that will lessen the number of those incidents should be a matter of primary concern to both federal and state legislators. Legislatures are in a far better position than judges to assess the

Solar power has won the global argument. Photovoltaic energy is already so cheap that it competes with oil, diesel and liquefied natural gas in much of Asia without subsidies. Roughly 29pc of electricity capacity added in America last year came from solar, rising to 100pc even in Massachusetts and Vermont.[Snip] The technology is improving so fast--helped by the US military--that it has achieved a virtous circle. Michael Parker and Flora Chang, at Sanford Bernstein, say we entering a new order of "global energy deflation" that must ineluctably erode the viability of oil, gas and the fossil fuel nexus over time.

Nearly a year into the IRS scandal, we still don´t know exactly what happened—though we are finally getting an inkling. That´s thanks to the letter House Ways and Means Chairman Dave Camp sent this week to the Justice Department recommending a criminal probe of Lois Lerner. The average citizen might be dizzied by the torrent of confusing terms—BOLO lists, Tigta, 501(c)(4)—and the array of accusations that have made up this IRS investigation. Mr. Camp´s letter takes a step back to remind us why this matters, even as it provides compelling new information that goes to motive and method—and clarifies some of

STAMFORD, Conn. — Jeb Bush defended his controversial comments about immigration reform, insisting they were nothing new for him and urging “sensitivity to the immigrant experience.” At a Connecticut Republican party dinner Thursday night, the former Republican governor of Florida did not repeat his remarks from last weekend at his father’s presidential library, when he said that people who come to the United States illegally in search of a better life for their children “broke the law, but it’s not a felony. It’s an act of love.” This time the potential 2016 candidate put it differently. “To be young and
