ESPN, Brent Musburger, and
the Idiocy of Political Correctness

Breitbart's Sports, by Ron Futrell

The media never disappoints with its asinine twisting and turning to ensure political correctness. You can no longer say a beautiful woman is beautiful during the broadcast of a live sporting event. ESPN has issued an apology for their play-by-play guy, Brent Musburger, saying that Katherine Webb, Miss Alabama, was a "lovely lady." Webb is the girlfriend of AJ McCarron, the ´Bama quarterback who was out there on the field winning the national championship in college football while Musburger was making his horribly politically incorrect statements. Musburger also encouraged young athletes to

What he said was no big deal. Get over it. And yet the vile jerks at MessNBC say offensive, racist, vulgar things every day and they are never critized or punished.

Probably a few feminists and/or unattractive women called to complain about favorable things being said about a pretty girl. Female jealously is fairly widespread.

The game was a dud, so the camera went looking for something interesting. The guy on mic has to say something or else there is dead air, there was absolutely nothing wrong with what he came up with on the spot.

Sane people need to start telling the whiners to shut up.

Camera close ups of girlfriends will go the way of cheerleaders, to be seen only in background as networks focus on horribly tattooed, Rastafarian coiffed psychotics dancing about after hitting a QB.

NFL and college football is increasingly similar to watching the Bloods Vs Crips in a prison pick-up game. Perhaps the NCAA´s ironically named Diversity Office should be more concerned with gang attire than banning Indian mascots.

Once again, bitter feelings are being cast in the direction of Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz. With the House passing the “clean” debt ceiling bill and sending it to the Democratic-controlled Senate, it was clear that this particular bill was going to be passed and sent to the president for his signature. But Cruz didn´t want to let Senate Republicans, including Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., off the hook and give President Obama a blank check to once again increase the debt ceiling as we are drowning in red ink. He didn't want Republicans to simply vote against the bill, hiding behind the Democrat majority who were sure to pass it.
