Texas Gov. Rick Perry
takes jab at New York Gov.
Andrew Cuomo saying New York
should be jealous of Texan economy

ALBANY - There’s a Texas style feud brewing between Rick Perry and New York Gov. Cuomo. Perry, the Texas governor and possible 2016 Republican presidential contender, took a swipe at the Democrat Cuomo during a policy forum Thursday. “You could say that the economic climate that has allowed (Texas) to grow and create jobs, he’d dearly love to be able to stand up and say, ‘We did this in New York.’ But he can’t.” Perry also said Cuomo, “if he were truthful” would admit that he’d want to be a Texan.

There is no "feud" brewing. Sorry, NYDN. But, I´ll admit that sometimes Perry´s mouth gets a little ahead of his brain.

Cuomo is the principal architect of the housing and banking crash of four years ago. Amazing he could run for President. Can´t fix stupid.

Doubt there will be a "feud". Cuomo will just ignore Perry as most people outside of TX already have.

I like the way Texas is governed but fair is fair. When Perry touts Texas´ prosperity he has to give some credit to the natural resources of Texas. New York has no oil. Neither does Massachusetts which was dissed by Perry in the nomination fight. Despite that disadvantage, New York and Massachusetts have little poverty.

Extremely liberal mindset in every regard. Close family living there. Not mistaken.

There’s a Texas style feud brewing between Rick Perry and New York Gov. Cuomo.

Excuse me, Glenn Bain, it takes two to feud. How difficult is it to comprehend the caption beneath your photo of Cuomo, which explicitly states, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo hasn´t responded yet . . . .?

Governor Perry also said: I’m sure that I couldn’t get all 49 other governors to admit that they would want to be Texans. So why didn’t you claim “There’s a Texas style feud brewing between Rick Perry and the other U.S. governors”?

Is your REAL aim to do to Perry what the drive-by media did to him when he ran for President in 2012? Are you trying to obviate his running again in 2016?

Texas Governor Rick Perry is a CONSTITUTIONIST who strives for smaller government and for individual freedom. New York Cuomo is a NANNY.

THAT is why Texas is thriving while we New Yorkers suffer Cuomo’s crappy economy and Cuomo’s creepy fiats.

Actually, she is backing off. Here’s the thing about her now-famous MSNBC promo: Either she’s saying something radical or she’s saying something so banal that it’s barely even worth saying. The radical interpretation is that she thinks parents should have less say over how their children are raised and that “communities” should have a larger role. The very, very banal interpretation is that she thinks communities should do more to improve children’s lives and that thinking of them as “our children” might help forge that mentality. The money line in the promo that pointed to the radical interpretation

Hagel said the Pentagon´s top lawyers would prepare legislation for Congress that would strip commanders´ power to toss out convictions, "except for certain minor offenses that would not ordinarily warrant trial by court-martial." Convicted defendants still would be able to appeal their cases. Though when the field is narrowed to people ages 18-34 -- those either too young to have known Reagan as president or too young to remember much -- the gap shrinks to 51% in favor of Reagan.

Margaret Thatcher had more impact on the world than any woman ruler since Catherine the Great of Russia. Not only did she turn around—decisively—the British economy in the 1980s, she also saw her methods copied in more than 50 countries. "Thatcherism" was the most popular and successful way of running a country in the last quarter of the 20th century and into the 21st. Her origins were humble. Born Oct. 13, 1925, she was the daughter of a grocer in the Lincolnshire town of Grantham. Alfred Roberts was no ordinary shopkeeper.
