Obama: U.S. Has Fallen ´Short

Weekly Standard, by Daniel Halper

In remarks with Afghan president Hamid Karzai at the White House this afternoon, President Barack Obama said the U.S. has fallen "short of the ideal" in Afghanistan: "So, you know, I think that, have we achieved everything that some might have imagined us achieving in the best of scenarios? Probably not. You know, there´s a human enterprise, and you know, you fall short of the ideal," said Obama. The president went on to say that America has achieved some measure of success in Afghanistan, however. "Did we achieve our central goal? And have we been able, I think,

Comments:
That tall, skinny, dark, slimy Communist in the White House had better damn sure NOT lay comments like that at the feet of the American Military or the American Public. It is a failure and a cowardice and an inability to complete a task that gets laid at HIS feet, if not jammed in his smug face. And, given the chance, a lot of people would jam it in his face.

Please split a headline in the middle. LCom Staff.

No more bragging! Has he stopped saying "Me, "I" or is that only when something turns out good and he wants to take "all" the credit, but if it doesn´t go well, let´s blame US, the "whole" country!

Obama has never learned to be a leader, one who accepts responsibility for his decisions.

Contrast Obama with Bush and you will find the differnce between "who" loves America and one who doesn´t - only himself.

I think maybe Obama should dispose of his mirror. He only sees himself as the center of any situation.

Retirement is not going to be easy for Obama, his wife or his childre, for he only thrives on constant attention!

America is finally witnessing what was promised - total control - a Dictator in the making!

If Afghanistan, by some miracle, had been a success story, we would be hearing I, I, I, all over the place. The only thing here falling short of the ideal is Obama, waaaaay short.

As for the other imbecile, he can´t even teach his soldiers who is the enemy and who is protecting his sorry muslim butt. Our young men and women deserve better in a CIC.

Are there that many nations drooling at the opportunity to give up their sovreignty & join the NWO? I think not.

I envision a pot smoke filled room, with nasty, evil, bored billionaires trying to entertain themselves by playing gods. These are the ones Obama is dancing for.

I hate to say it but I feel safer under Putin than Obama... Having trashed all our old allies, Obama has forged our only current alliance with The Muslim Brotherhood. Super.

“Contemplate the mangled bodies of your countrymen, and then say ´what should be the reward of such sacrifices?´ Bid us and our posterity bow the knee, supplicate the friendship and plough, and sow, and reap, to glut the avarice of the men who have let loose on us the dogs of war to riot in our blood and hunt us from the face of the earth? If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!”

When Obama talked about America coming up short in Afghanistan he was really talking about himself. Since the Obama crew has failed to come up with a winning strategy in Afghanistan, the smart thing to do is bug out as quickly as possible, to stay there without any chance of winning is really only putting the lives of American service members on the line for a big nothing.

"We have had presidents we have loved and hated, but never one that hated US; until now"
(my quote)

Our first PC war. A zillion dollars for our soldiers to be killed or wounded and equipment lost. They were nothing more than armed baby sitters for a group that hates US. All while their families waited to see if they would return home alive.

In a real war, somebody wins and somebody loses.

Michelle Obama has admitted that she is already tired of the bangs she first sported in January. The First Lady said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: ´Bangs are a day-by-day proposition. They´re starting to grow out, get a little irritating.´ Still, she hasn´t let her hairdo woes get her down. ´It´s okay,´ she said after her initial complaint. ´We´ll be good.´ The first indication that her hairstyle was becoming a burden came about last weekend, when Malia, 14, was spotted adjusting her mother´s hair during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Los Angeles — Some people have had it with TV. They´ve had enough of the 100-plus channel universe. They don´t like timing their lives around network show schedules. They´re tired of $100-plus monthly bills. A growing number of them have stopped paying for cable and satellite TV service, and don´t even use an antenna to get free signals over the air. (Snip) Last month, the Nielsen Co. started labeling people in this group "Zero TV" households, because they fall outside the traditional definition of a TV home. There are 5 million of these residences in the U.S., up from

On Friday, Sean Hannity brought Pat Smith, mother of the late Sean Smith, on his radio program. The 34-year-old information management officer was one of four Americans murdered in the Benghazi embassy attack on September 11, 2012. In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her. Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,

Put out an all-points bulletin: Millions of Americans have gone missing from the workforce. Every month that those would-be workers are gone raises the odds that they might never come back, dimming the prospects for future economic growth. The vanishing trend is more than a decade old, but it accelerated during the Great Recession. Throughout 2012, economists held out hope that it had stopped. But then came Friday’s jobs report, and hopes were dashed. The Labor Department reported that the U.S. labor force — everyone who has a job or is looking for one — shrank

No one is more preoccupied these days with Hillary Clinton´s 2016 plans than the Beltway political class—not even the former presidential candidate herself. To hear some tell it, her decision will be dispositive for all other Democrats thinking of entering the race. And pundits and reporters aren´t the only ones positing the "The Hillary Factor": No less than the House Democratic whip, Steny Hoyer, told BuzzFeed, “I don´t know that anybody would run against Hillary…. If she runs, she clears the field.” It´s an understandable conclusion, given Clinton´s stature in the Democratic Party and her 70 percent
