President Barack Obama’s campaign is set to be reconfigured into an operation that will assist the White House’s policy goals in a second term, CNN reported on Thursday. Citing a source familiar with the campaign, CNN reported that the operation could be converted to a 501(c)(4) or a super PAC. The restructured organization will be led by former Obama campaign manager Jim Messina and other top operatives from the campaign, including Stephanie Cutter and Jennifer O’Malley Dillon. The grass-roots infrastructure put in place since the president’s first campaign in 2008 includes what is likely an unprecedented number

It´s been painfully obvious from the get-go that Obama´s *only* skill set is permanent campaigner.

If it´s not related to his ego - it´s not on the agenda.

It´s time the Republicans in Congress understand what is painfully obvious to a lot of Americans. Obama´s second term will have nothing to do with Congress. He is assembling a radical cabinet to dictate foreign and domestic policy. Right now, the establishment is flat footed with jaw on the floor. It´s unbelievable but true - this country has been taken over by a regime so evil, no one can accept it.

If President Obama opened the International New York Times when he woke up at the US Ambassador residence Thursday morning in Rome, he would have been greeted by a full-page ad from the dissident "Catholics for Choice" telling him to ignore the Pope on questions of sexual morality. In what must have been a remarkably expensive full-page ad, "Catholics for Choice" asserts that Pope Francis, whom the President was scheduled to meet Thursday at the Vatican, "seems like a very nice man..." The group says he is "our spiritual leader but not our political leader." The ad charges that the

"These people are just waiting, waiting for a chance to contribute fully. And by that standard, eleven million undocumented aliens are already Americans, in my view." A Supreme Court hearing that aired all sorts of ways someone might try to assassinate the president did not bode well Wednesday for a group of protesters suing two Secret Service agents for allegedly mistreating them at a 2004 appearance of President George W. Bush. Several justices seemed concerned about whether the free speech rights of anti-Bush protesters in Jacksonville, Ore., had been violated. They were kept farther away from the president than another group that supported him, and there is no allegation that the demonstrators meant the president any harm. But the court gave no indication that it would let

AUSTIN, Texas— A federal appeals court on Thursday upheld Texas´ tough new abortion restrictions that shuttered many of the abortions clinics in the state. A panel of judges at the New Orleans-based 5th Circuit Court of Appeals overturned a lower court judge who said the rules violate the U.S. Constitution and served no medical purpose. In its opinion, the appeals court said the law "on its face does not impose an undue burden on the life and health of a woman." Bridget Anne Kelly, who infamously sent an email saying ´time for some traffic problems in Fort Lee´, was reportedly dating Christie´s former campaign manager Bill Stepien throughout much of his re-election race. The report, released today by a law firm Christie hired to investigate the scandal, said that the two had been a couple for months but had called things off a month before the George Washington Bridge lane closures. The president appeared at ease and joked during the parts of his meeting with the pope that were open to a few reporters, but a brief Vatican statement issued later indicated that Obama´s private talks there had a more serious side. Former Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld has said that ´a trained ape´ could do a better job managing American interests in Afghanistan than President Obama. The retired Republican made the insult while doing a phone-in interview for Greta Van Susteren´s Fox News show on Tuesday. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) said the fault of struggling to sign up on the Obamacare exchanges didn’t lie with the faulty website, but with the people who weren’t “educated on how to use the Internet.” Explaining the reasoning behind the latest Obamacare delay, Reid said too many people just didn’t know to use their computer properly and needed more time. Apparently, it had nothing to do with the well-documented failings of the website that have embarrassed the White House for months. “We have hundreds of thousands of people who tried to sign up who didn’t get through,” he said.

Okay, THAT was certainly embarrassing. At the end of a joint news conference with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte in the Netherlands on Tuesday, the applause for Barack Obama came from a grand total of one guy. One. After thanking the crowd twice for suffering through his boring, standard worn-out spiel, Obama looked around the room, expecting the usual fanfare and applause he receives from his loyal followers back home. As the U.S. Supreme Court weighed the constitutionality of a contraception coverage mandate Tuesday morning, a federal appeals court heard a separate legal challenge that could have much more sweeping implications for the future of President Obama´s health care law. And if the oral arguments before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. At issue in the case are the subsidies that the federal government provides for individuals purchasing insurance through Obamacare. Though the text

On Tuesday night two things happened. 1. A trio of Secret Service agents were sent home from Amsterdam after one was found passed out drunk in a hotel hallway. 2. The Obama Administration announced (another) extension of the enrollment deadline for Obamacare signups. At first glance, these two events have little in common with one another. But, modern politics is all about narratives and storylines. And, both of these events confirm a growing concern from the public about President Obama: That he´s just not up to governing his administration and, by extension, the country, effectively.

When the curtain on open enrollment falls on March 31, the last remaining big myth of ObamaCare will be fully exposed: The individual mandate has failed. After a last-ditch effort with President Obama himself encouraging "young invincibles" to sign up before the deadline, the administration is scrambling to boost enrollment. On Tuesday, the White House announced that people who applied for coverage on the federal health-insurance exchange will have until mid-April to finish the paperwork.
