About all those white guys: What a shame. Not an outrage, but a shame. The face of power that President Obama has chosen to present to the country and the world with his second-term Cabinet picks is striking — except for the African American president at the top of the pyramid — for its retro look, white and male. It’s “Mad Men” Goes to Washington, except Peggy’s leaving. On the foreign policy team, white guy for secretary of state, white guy for defense secretary, white guy for CIA. For Treasury secretary, white guy. Obama’s replacement as chief of staff

I thought the Republicans were the ones waging a war on women. Oh wait, the election is over. They already got the stupid women vote. They can be discarded now.

Wonder how all those women who voted for him feel now?

The funny part (or sad, I guess) is that most of Obama´s voters (including the women, minorities, gays) couldn´t name three people in his cabinet from his early days to the present. They sure as heck couldn´t tell you the race/gender/sexual orientation make-up of the cabinet.
Whatever happened to the best candidate for the job?

His complete disdain for women isn´t the only self-revelation we´re going to see from Obama over the next 4 years. He´s finally free of the need to pretend now that the election is over. And boy are we going to be shown what he truly thinks.

Don´t be surprised that women are not included even though they are receiving about 2/3rds of the Obama male´s wages.

It goes to show that leftwing ideology is THE most important factor in Obama´s hiring practices. Minorities have always had a hard time in far-left organizations, the CPUSA broke up in 1991 or 1992 over what the dissidents said was the racism of Gus Hall and his affinity for whites at the center of the power positions. So it is with Obama. The harder the leftist, the whiter the skin.

Supreme Court justices seek
contraceptive compromise
WashingtonTimes, by Tom Howell Jr.    Original Article

The Supreme Court searched Tuesday for ways to let women get birth control without the government forcing their employers to cover the cost, as justices tried to balance business owners’ religious rights against allowing religious objections to a broad range of public policy issues. Justices touched on abortion, the limits of federal power and details of birth control, but the case centering on the Hobby Lobby craft store chain likely will come down to whether the court believes for-profit companies and their owners can claim a moral conscience objection to paying for employees’ birth control. The court’s liberal members —

The Washington Post is reporting that the Obama administration will give extra time to Americans who say they are unable to enroll in health-care plans through the federal insurance marketplace by the March 31 deadline. According to the Post, consumers who have begun to apply for coverage on HealthCare.gov, but who do not finish by Monday, will have until about mid-April to ask for an extension. To take advantage of this extension, consumers need only check a box on HealthCare.gov to indicate that they tried to enroll before the deadline. The government will make no effort to determine whether, in

LITTLE ROCK — The last time David Brock was here, he was traversing every corner of Arkansas digging up dirt about Hillary Rodham Clinton, paying little attention to its veracity, in what he called a “campaign of dirty tricks” to upend her husband’s presidency. That was 19 years ago. On Tuesday, Brock returned to Little Rock as a converted man. No longer part of the “vast right-wing conspiracy,” as the first lady once dubbed it, Brock has transformed into a member in good standing of Clinton World. In the context of talking about limits on free speech, it’s common to say that your freedom to swing your fist ends where my nose begins. That seems like a sensible way to think about the freedom of religion case just argued before the Supreme Court: whether employers can be required to pay for contraceptive methods that would violate their religious convictions. Most disputes about religious freedom are bilateral — with the government on one side and the individual claiming infringement of religious liberty on the other. But Tuesday’s cases, involving Oklahoma-based crafts store Hobby Lobby and Pennsylvania cabinetmaker

The Supreme Court seemed divided Tuesday over whether the religious objections of business owners protect them from a requirement in President Obama’s Affordable Care Act that health insurance plans cover all types of contraceptives. With both spring snow and demonstrators gathering on the sidewalk outside, the justices spent a spirited 90 minutes debating religious conviction, equal treatment for female workers and whether the court would be opening the door for religious challenges to all sorts of government regulation. It is difficult to predict a precise outcome based on the justices’ wide-ranging questions and statements.

Several justices sharply questioned Obamacare’s “abortion mandate” today at the Supreme Court, and five justices – a majority of the court – appeared deeply skeptical of the controversial regulation at issue. Chief Justice John Roberts—who turned out to be the swing vote in Obamacare’s first foray at the Court—expressed strong disagreement with several of the Obama administration’s arguments about legal protections for religious companies facing a mandate to provide contraceptives against their beliefs. And Justice Anthony Kennedy—regarded as the swing vote in this case—separately expressed concern about how the

These ride-sharing companies allow anyone who has access to a car to become a budding businessman: Drivers can provide travel services directly to customers using apps. A pair of potentially catastrophic cases will be argued before the Supreme Court on Tuesday. These cases are brought by privately held, for-profit corporations that are arguing their religious convictions should preclude them from offering employees the health insurance required by law. Specifically, these private employers don’t want to allow their employees’ insurance to cover some forms of birth control because, contrary to medicaland scientific evidence, they believe some birth control causes abortions. Corporations are not people. Corporations cannot have religious views. If religious rights are extended to corporations, it puts us on a slippery slope where any private company

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) said the fault of struggling to sign up on the Obamacare exchanges didn’t lie with the faulty website, but with the people who weren’t “educated on how to use the Internet.” Explaining the reasoning behind the latest Obamacare delay, Reid said too many people just didn’t know to use their computer properly and needed more time. Apparently, it had nothing to do with the well-documented failings of the website that have embarrassed the White House for months. “We have hundreds of thousands of people who tried to sign up who didn’t get through,” he said.

On Tuesday night two things happened. 1. A trio of Secret Service agents were sent home from Amsterdam after one was found passed out drunk in a hotel hallway. 2. The Obama Administration announced (another) extension of the enrollment deadline for Obamacare signups. At first glance, these two events have little in common with one another. But, modern politics is all about narratives and storylines. And, both of these events confirm a growing concern from the public about President Obama: That he´s just not up to governing his administration and, by extension, the country, effectively.
