I live in NYC and it isn´t like the rest of America, I assure you. It is the center of the elite sheep and thir acolytes. You can talk to any one of them and they repeat what they hear on CNN, ABC, CBS and NBC. They don´t open their minds to any other possibilty, but to the way they think. Alas! I was born there - and still enjoy visiting - mostly for the museums. But I´ve caught up on my quota of ´´gay musicals´´ and thus avoid Broadway if the wife lets me. Besides, Ellen´s Stardust Diner and the cast of aspiring singers often provides a much better show than what you get via TKTS. And the food is reasonable - for NYC.

Been to NYC on two occasions. My takeaway from that experience is that 1) living 900 miles south is close enough 2) more of them need to move from here back home

There are mainly only three types of critters who live in NYC (with a few wonderful exceptions like those who can be found here)... 1) The elite, wealthy, know-it-all snobs who want to be (or are already) part of the ruling class and think they know best for everyone else; 2) the ghetto poor who have been subjected and shaped by leftist policies, government schools, and massive doses of false propaganda for several decades--ignorant low info voters; and 3) the artsy types, students, foreigners (incl. illegal and legal aliens), and various others that are cliquish and set in their own little worlds and don´t associate with others who think differently.
