When someone campaigns with the promise to “fundamentally transform America”, believe them.

For those who thought that America was fundamentally flawed, that promise was appealing, and they voted accordingly.

For those who thought that America was the shining city on the hill, it was unsettling. It appears that their fears were justified.

The Founding Fathers’ vision of the country was better than the Community Organizer’s vision.

I can see why China and India aren´t considered to be world leaders with the potential to succeed the United States. They won´t have the interests of anybody but themselves in mind and won´t care what happens in and/or to other countries, though they would have the power to intervene if they so desired. So, when the U.S. is no more there won´t be any country that will come to the rescue of any other country.

America has spent blood and treasure around the globe for freedom. Perhaps (as with the war on poverty and the war on drugs) China and India and others are right, that it doesn’t make a difference, or at least, a difference worth the cost.

I always thought it was curious & interesting in Revelations how when describing the wars, there is nothing referring to the west. There´s Persia, Gog, Magog, & Israel. Now, with this administration it is clear there will be no support of Israel. Now I understand.

If we continue down the current path much longer we´ll come to think of the Brotherhood as moderates. The real danger is North Africa and Syria. From Tunisia to the Sinai, south to Mali to Nigeria, Niger and the CAR the region is turning into a giant terror state. There are bedouin terror elements in the Sinai that outgun the Egyptian army and they´re on Israels doorstep. Without the US to provide some sense of stability the region could explode. The consequences will turn up as suicide bombers at your favorite mall or maybe a dirty bomb at the airport.

I think we tell everyone we´re pulling back for a while to recover - after all, we don´t/won´t have a choice much longer. For our embattled friends, we can sell them a lot of surplus gear for cheap that we´ll not be able to afford to deploy any longer. Then ( assuming we instead don´t keep digging our hole deeper), we get our house in order. Then we can afford to be a/the world power again.

Yes, it´s happening all around us. I believe that it is entirely possible that there will be an outbreak of regional wars. This actually has already happened over the last ten years. More than half the world has been involved in one form or another on one side or another. For it to escalate would seem from my point of view to be likely based on the catastrophic economic state the world finds itself in. The World Wars were started for this very reason. Conditions were economically disastrous nearly everywhere and most of those conditions were in place because the Economic Movers and Shakers, businessmen nearly everywhere, were derided and castigated nearly universally.

I´m puzzled as to who is the real enemy that we would fight? On the local scene, who is it that we fight to put it all right? On the national scene who is it that we fight to get control over all the reckless spending that is putting us as a nation in the poorhouse? Who do we force to stop the uncontrolled and escalating taxation that is impoverishing us all? What do we do to stop the economic badmouth? Who on a world wide basis is going to step up and start the healing process? Is it a country or a belief system that will be the leader? Will it be finally Pax Americana that starts the recovery from the ashes of fundamental reform when none was needed in the first place?

I just wonder who it is we will aim at.

When Obama started office, I predicted he would be an incompetent leader that would get a lot of good people killed unless he was willing to learn on the job and change. It appears now that he is too ideologically rooted and arrogant to consider learning from those more competent than him. The guy knows only how to mock his predecessor and productive people but he can´t do the job of the presidency.

Clint Eastwood was right about Obama but corrupt voters got bribed into voting for an incompetent lying politician. They are about to find the true costs of their misguided votes in terms of American blood and treasure especially around the world when, not if, the Middle East gets into a thermonuclear war.

This, I believe, gets to the heart of the Left´s real agenda in getting a man like Obama stationed in the White House - the very intentional decline of US power in a world of nuclear arms and terrorist WMD threats. You do the math..

And it is also ironic that all these "one world" types, etc are the first ones to attack US foreign policy in which we are actively engaged with other countries; either to liberate (Iraq), but then complain when we don´t invade Sudan or say nothing about the US led air war on Libya last year.

I was having lunch at a panera here in MA, yesterday. I was listening to two young women talk. One was telling the other that she had a friend who had voted for obama and now was upset that things were not going well. The young woman told her friend that she had warned her and what else could she expect from this potus? More or less a "I told you so". The other young woman said she was going through the same thing with her friends. As we watch our children mature and have real life experiences, hopefully they will learn the lesson and grow up to never elect anyone like obama again. And our country has been down and out before, check your history books. We have struggled and come back. I´ll still bet my money on this country even while it is breaking my heart.

What is being planned to take America down the drain via socialism or worse, totalitarianism?

The thing to understand is, this is what Obama WANTED He doesn´t believe in American exceptionalism as Truman did or even as LBJ (a terrible President) did. From the foundations of The New World Order, America´s middle class was to be folded into the poor through tactics such as "Earned income Credit", open borders, and various unsustainable subsidies the middle class is supposed to maintain. This is bi-partisan and the only difference was that the right was using warfare and the left was using welfare. This installs a corporate/banking oligarchy that Prescott Bush supported during WWII. It ain´t just Obama.

obama is merely a means to an end. I mean litterally the end. As long as we have a government in place that can use the tax system to buy votes that allow one segment of the population to take from the productive segment and reward those who gain power from implementing the taxes then we are at an end of freedom already. Unless there is a federal government willing to spend its responsible citizenry into bankruptcy then the end is upon us. I don´t see any change even if all the takers figured out that eventually there will be nothing left. I pray a great deal.

Bottom line, do whatever you can to put yourself in a position that avoids as much Government as possible. You cannot defeat Government. We live in California and have always voted Conservative. We even got "involved" with phone calls etc. When we realized voting is not the answer (for Calif) we moved to a California County that is 75% Conservative. We live in a town that is unincorporated, meaning few laws and regulations. Everyone owns guns and know how to use them. The school board is Conservative. The sheriff is Conservative. On and on. We are at piece with this great country and live the good life. It is all about choices. We chose less money, less dependent on Government yet more freedom and more control of our own lives. We will continue to vote Conservative but we no longer let politics rule our life.

I agree with #22. I am a Texan first. Should Texas choose to leave the union, I will stand with Texas. It is MY country. Other free states are welcome to come along. The federal government can go to hell. Enough!

This is so disconcerting. I am reading Killing Kennedy now and it is shocking when you read how concerned we were about Communism and now there are Communists running Washington. I just don´t know how we recover from the damage 0bama and his terroristic regime has caused and will cause in the next four years.

Unfortunately our decline began long ago. Most elections used to be won or loss based on platforms like jobs, foreign policy and budgets. People who followed those issues voted. Many of today’s electorate used to not vote because they didn’t understand the issues. The Democrats, however, have learned how to run a masterful campaign of deceit to get them out. This year they even added early voting shenanigans like recruiting rest home residents. Romney ran a classic issues based campaign and lost. He lost to people who didn’t have a clue about what he was talking about. Minorities came out in droves to vote against the white guy who would put them back in chains. Young women voted against the zealot who would return them to forced motherhood. You can go down the list of groups that Democrats exploited with their outrageous lies. Given the current state of affairs, I’m not optimistic.

I am asking conservatives to demand the creation of conservative mainstream media, but hear no answers.
Yesterday Mark Levin (After the elections I can stand talk radio for 5 min/week) said that we need to fight, talk with our kids and grandkids, find conservative candidate, support it, blah, blah, blah...
What a lame talk! I don´t blame him either, but he is talking for millions of dollars (kudos to him, he found his niche!). And I don´t hear him exposing Roves and Preibuses for who they are. We gave them our money and our time, our volunteering and they completely screwed it up.
I am saying for several years, we need conservative mainstream media - lefties, fascists and commies, know that, that is the way hitler, lenin/stalin, chavez and obozo won the power. But our repubics are totally oblivious of this concept. Rush is sitting on his couple hundred million contract and he never said a word about it! Why? Am I wrong about it? Where is the place we can discuss conservative candidates, our public figures, what they do right or wrong? How is it possible that we learn about it from a "friendly" nyt or wapo or alphabets? As I have been posting for some time now, the only fix I can see for what´s happening in our country is to rise up and have us a nice little revolution. And by that, I mean to completely get rid of everyone in Washington and start completely over. We have a good base to start from, our current Constitution. It just needs to have a few tweaks made to it in order to prevent what has happened. After all, didn´t Thomas Jefferson write in the Declaration that it is the right and duty for men to rise up and throw off a tyrannical government? And it´s clear as it can be that we have a tyrannical government right now.

All it would take is enough citizens to rise up, call for the formation of a militia, and do it. The question is, do we have those citizens among us? I don´t have the resources to do it, but at age 68, I´m ready to sign up and do my part.

Determine to support the tried-and-true authentic foundational principles which support Life, Liberty and Justice for all. ´´Just say NO!´´ to all the illusionary theatrical counterfeits who are muscling their thuggish way into the political/media arena right now. Pray for discernment in order to not to be deceived by their bogus promises, conjured up in stealth in order to snatch away the personal freedom of each individual American citizen through all sorts of political/media trickery. Don´t ever think 0bama is incompetent. It´s hard to comprehend that a president of the US would hate the people as much as he does. He does hate us. It was obvious to me in 2007 & 2008. Oh everyone fawned over the nice clean 0bama. I even gave a thought to looking at him with unbiased eyes. The more he campaigned the more it became clear to me that he was/is a communist and that he wants to "transform" the USA into a communist "state." I am cynical. I´m considered an "elderly person". A veteran of the USNavy. Sorry but I don´t see a change for the better coming our way in the near or distant future. I say permanently kaput. In my opinion I see no current politician, pubbie or dem, interested in putting this country back on the right track. I agree that there is no single power to challenge us. But in the 1930s it was the same way and three powers emerged (Germany, Italy, Japan), joined forces, and plunged the world into a massive war. America being weak has always invited disaster.

I am not certain, as he is, that the Obama administration is non-interventionist. Obama may not go in everywhere or in the usual places, but he could well intervene in some places.
If he doesn’t, well then, fine. It’s time the rest of the world sorted itself out and took care of itself.

Right now, we need the money here at home that has been taking care of all that.
