| Both sides are gearing up for a confirmation fight, not knowing if they are playing almost exclusively an inside game, or if this has the potential to go wider and become an outside game too (a la Bork and Tower). Those opposing Hagel have been organizing for a long time. They are sophisticated and have an appreciation for the dynamics of press, policy, votes and quotes, and vote counting that go into successfully defying the odds and denying an incumbent president his choice for a cabinet job when the nominee in question has no ethical issues or scandals to derail confirmation.

Hagel´s not a core republican,much less a core conservative. He took positions to get elected in a conservative state like Nebraska.For Obama to offer this up as bipartisanship is a joke. Just look at the supposed republican Ray LaHood,who´s become a big government liberal in his job.
I actually think that Panetta was opposed to taking a meat axe to the defense budget and Hagel´s more than happy to do so and that´s why Panettas gone and Hagel´s being proposed.
I think Hagel and Obama are joined at the hip in hating Israel and normalizing relations with Iran,both positions a lot of normal people object to.Kerry at SoS is another extension of this line of thinking.
Just taking a wild,off the cuff guess,I think Obama needs between $4-6 trillion in the relative short term to complete his so called trans formative government.That kind of money simply isn´t available through conventional means. 10 year treasuries aren´t paying crap so they´re not a lucrative investment for world investors.If they raise interest rates,it´ll kill they´re socialized housing schemes.
So,one of Obama´s money grabbing efforts will be aimed at military cuts,conning people that all we really need are special forces for today´s conflicts.

Late Friday, the FBI posted this statement on its 2011 interview of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the suspected Boston bomber who was killed in a police shootout. Two weeks ago, said 44-year-old Gilberto Junior, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had brought in a white Mercedes 1967 station wagon to have the damaged rear bumper repaired. He said it belonged to his girlfriend. The father of a suspected Boston Marathon bomber started to cry when ABC News told him that his son had been captured alive. "Thank God," Anzor Tsarnaev said, speaking in Russian, thanking ABC News for relaying word that his son, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, was in custody and alive. Asked what he wanted to tell his son, Anzor Tsarnaev said, "Tell police everything. Everything. Just be honest." Tsarnaev spoke to ABC News on more than one occasion today from his home in Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan, Russia, as Boston police carried out an intense dragnet for his son.

So once again, no good deed goes unpunished. Uncle Sam lets another bunch of leeching future terrorists into the country who have absolutely no business being here, gives them “asylum,” making them immediately eligible for welfare, and this is the thanks we get? They turn into mass murderers. We bring in thousands of Muslims from a primitive society that has been battling Christians for centuries, and put them into a peaceful Christian society — what could possible go wrong? This is what I was thinking about yesterday, with much of the city under what amounted to martial law.

When David Sirota hoped the person or people responsible for bombing the Boston Marathon would be a “white American”, I asked, “Can’t a terrorist be both white & Muslim?” Yes, Mr. Sirota, there are white, Muslim terrorists. The Tsarnaev brothers were ethnic Chechens whose family fled the breakaway republic in the remote Caucasus mountains where insurgents fought two bloody wars with Russia at the cost of more than 100,000 lives. Even after the worst of the fighting was over, Chechnya became a training ground for terrorists who have carried out attacks that have killed hundreds of civilians. Watertown, Mass.– A number of gun shots were fired near Franklin Street in Watertown Friday night and it was believed that suspect number 2 in the Boston Marathon bombings had been shot. FOX 25's Bob Ward reported that as many 30 shots were fired in the neighborhood. Ward reported that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the man known as suspect 2, was shot by police. It was not immediately known if Tsarnaev was killed. A bomb squad could be seen responding to the scene. A massive police presence was also in the area. We are still speculating about virtually everything right now, but I feel as though I need to explain why I find the quick and easy conversation about Muslims being radicalized in America to be so illogical and laced with bigotry. Of course, there is a global violent jihadist movement, loosely organized, that wants to recruit young men to influence policies at home and abroad and perhaps usher in the global caliphate.
