Climate News: Only ‘Hobbit-
Sized Humans’ Capable of
Surviving Global Warming

Cybercast News Service, by Elizabeth Harrington

The joint editor of the Climate News Network is warning that in as little as two centuries global warming will lead to “mass extinction,” which may be good news for residents of “The Shire.” “Hobbit-sized humans, able to exist on less nourishing food, will have the best chance of survival in a warmer world, scientists say,” said Paul Brown, a journalist and author, in an article entitled, “Mass extinction forecast with 6C temperature rise,” published on Jan. 7. Brown bases his claim on findings by the “Bighorn Basin Coring Project,” a group of scientists

If that´s true, man will adapt by getting shorter and shorter each generation. 200 years is what? 10 generations? That´s plenty of time to adapt.

Imagine if this were now? Just think of all the tall people would disappear!

Forgot to add - less fabric for clothing, less leather for shoes (unless we also adapt to Hobbit feet), we wouldn´t have to eat so much.

It will all work out fine.

Hobbit sized people to match Mr. Brown´s Hobbit sized brain.
It would take a minimum of thousands of years for little weed eating hobbits to
evolve/devolve from current human scale. Not two hundred years.

CO2 does have insulation properties, as any physicist can tell you. The big question is How Much? The increase of 120ppm (since 1850), reduces down to 1.2 parts in 10,000.

For those who do not understand small numbers, that is very little. Inconsequential. Negligible. Very tiny. Almost nothing. Etc, etc. Hence, my skepticism.

Reply 12 - Posted by: MisterDickens, 1/7/2013 3:33:20 PM     (No. 9103588)

One other thing. If global warming is going to do us in in 2 centuries, we can head that off by sterilizing all male babies starting today. In only one century, we´ll be outa here and will have accomplished two things: one, no painful extinction through global warming and two, there will be no global warming left for the rest of the species to worry about since WE are the cause of global warming. Everyone wins. Yea!

When I was a kid, they scared the bejeezuz out of us by telling us we were all going to starve to death because of the "population explosion."

Then we were going to choke to death from air pollution.

Then it was cancer from the hole in the ozone layer.

Then we were going freze to death in a nuclear winter.

Global warming is just this decade´s version of junk science designed to cow ignorant people and collect large research grants.

funny how these alarmists forget so conveniently about the 1300 - 1600 warming period where most of the glaciers of Greenland where gone. One of the reasons the vikings called it green land. Then in the 1600 guess what the cyclical nature of weather returned and it got cold again, cold enough for the canals of Amsterdam to freeze over so the populace would ice skate on them.
Just as a side note more people die due to cold weather affects than in hot weather.

With all respectdue, which is none, has no one at this so called scientific network ever studied biology? Ever been forced to sit through the lectures on surface to volume ratio and climate compatibility? Never been exposed to the reason an eskimo (OK Inuit) is short and fat and a Watusi is tall and skinny?

OK here it is in a nutshell. Take both these guys to the Fourth of July parade in a typical Pennsylkvania town.

The short fat guy will die of heat exhaustion due to his bulk not radiating any heat. The 7 foot tall skinny guy will freeze to death because he radiates too much heat from all his skinny limbs.

Another wonderful and beautiful utopian dream derailed by an ugly fact.

“What worries the scientists is that this current warming period will take as little as 200 years, if the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is correct,” Then they have no reason to worry, as the IPCC has been outright lying from the start, and the bureaucrats change the conclusions of their own scientists to fit their political agendas.

It’s a decision that will bruise egos, create legacies and deeply affect subsequent messaging battles. “Every time the bill is mentioned in the press, you either have a brand that´s positive or a brand that doesn´t mean anything or even hurts you,” said Frank Sharry, the executive director of the pro-immigration reform group America’s Voice. Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church.
