| The National Jewish Democratic Council said it was confident Chuck Hagel would follow what it called President Obama’s “unprecedented” pro-Israel record. The statement Monday morning came before Obama’s formal announcement expected later Monday nominating Hagel, a former Republican senator, for defense secretary. “President Barack Obama’s unprecedented pro-Israel credentials are unquestionable, and setting policy starts and stops with the president,” said the statement, which was not attached to the name of an NJDC official. “While we have expressed concerns in the past, we trust that when confirmed, former Senator Chuck Hagel will follow the President’s lead of providing unrivaled support

Plantation managers? Move like affection from those who turn the ovens on. These people are delusional. Do they actually believe they are immune from the hatred the marxists have for them? They should carefully look at how the marxists have dehumanized the unborn, the elderly and the ill, not much of a step to declare a class of living, breathing, healthy people a burden on society. It´s been done before.

First of all, do you really think that the average USA citizen will get involved in a debate about whether or not someone´s allegiance lies with a foreign entity, and that that would decide the nomination? Secondly, from the few Jewish friends I have here in MA,they care nothing for Israel and are totally low-information voters with college degrees.

I´m going to go out on a limb here and say the whole anti-semitism card has been overplayed by the right and making us look rather callow. There are plenty of worse decisions Barry has made other than the one to appoint Hagel, a former GOP member from the Heartland, to SecDef. The Constitution makes very clear that the preezy of the steezy can appoint "officers" of his choosing, albeit w/ consent. Plus, the gay mafia hates Hagel, so there´s a silver lining here.

Isn´t it time to come up with a name for Jewish people who repudiate their religion and are Jews by ethnicity only? It would seem that many Jews who are proud of being Jewish have no use for religion of any kind, let alone Judaism, nor any use for Israel. Jews in name only? Secular Jews? I know so many observant Jews that lumping them in in any way with scum like, say, Chuck U. Schumer seems a slap in the face to them.

Republicans would be wise to let Obomination have this nomination as I´m sure he´s expecting a fight, and then he will try to paint the GOP as group he just can´t work with.
Republicans in the House and Senate need to let the liberal Democrat agenda be exposed in full view.
The Democrats are already campaigning for 2014 mid-term elections and want to make Republicans look like they don´t know what they´re doing - look they can´t even support one of their own former U.S. Senators from Nebraska, blah, blah...

#12, self loathing jews is the best label I can think of. This self loathing became evident during the black power days of the late 1960s and early 1970s, when jewish professors allowed the blacks to denigrate them on campus. It was a painful time in the academic world, but those professors were willing to support black power at their own expense and integrity. I still don´t understand it.

Willing to bet that their honorary co-chair, Sen Cardin of Md will leap-frog Sen Menendez to replace Sen Kerry as Chair, Senate Foreign Affairs Committee, now that two major and well deserved hits have been put on Menendez...not paying the agreed upon rate for his call girls in some Latin American country and having an illegal alien child molester on his staff...
I would not label any as self-loathing #18 because they coralled over 70% Jewish support for Zero two elections in a row...

All Jews are by no means alike in their worldly philosophies. Here, for example, is the way one famous Jew thought about "the Jewish question:"
"In its perfected practice, Christian egoism of heavenly bliss is necessarily transformed into the corporal egoism of the Jew, heavenly need is turned into world need, subjectivism into self-interest. We explain the tenacity of the Jew not by his religion, but, on the contrary, by the human basis of his religion – practical need, egoism.
"Since in civil society the real nature of the Jew has been universally realized and secularized, civil society could not convince the Jew of the unreality of his religious nature, which is indeed only the ideal aspect of practical need. Consequently, not only in the Pentateuch and the Talmud, but in present-day society we find the nature of the modern Jew, and not as an abstract nature but as one that is in the highest degree empirical, not merely as a narrowness of the Jew, but as the Jewish narrowness of society.
"Once society has succeeded in abolishing the empirical essence of Judaism – huckstering and its preconditions – the Jew will have become impossible, because his consciousness no longer has an object, because the subjective basis of Judaism, practical need, has been humanized, and because the conflict between man’s individual-sensuous existence and his species-existence has been abolished.
"The social emancipation of the Jew is the emancipation of society from Judaism." --- Karl Marx, "On the Jewish Question." 1843.

What the Jewish Dems are going to have to see is Obama letting Israel twist in the wind and likely get invaded. Then there will be the outrage and teeth gnashing but nothing can be done by then. Clearly Jewish democrats do not really care about Israel based on roots, and most definitely are too dumb to realize its strategic importance in the region. If they did, they would oppose Hagel.

Williamson, W.Va.- The man suspected of killing a West Virginia sheriff as he ate lunch in his car was mentally disturbed and had no particular vendetta with law enforcement, his father told The Associated Press on Thursday. Melvin Maynard said his 37-year-old son, Tennis Melvin Maynard, was exposed to harmful chemicals and injured while working at an Alabama coal mine. He most likely did not target Mingo County Sheriff Eugene Crum, he said. "He would have probably shot anybody, the first one he come to, you know what I´m saying?" the elder Maynard said. "I know he was off."

But instead of cheering, we should be very afraid. Over the last 13 years, the stock market has twice crashed and touched off a recession: American households lost $5 trillion in the 2000 dot-com bust and more than $7 trillion in the 2007 housing crash. President Obama´s biggest gaffe yesterday when speaking of California Attorney General Kamala Harris was not in flirtatiously complimenting her as "the best-looking attorney general," but in introducing an observation from the system of beauty into a forum that was about the system of power. What´s that, you say? Irin Carmon does a great job in Salon in laying out the bounds of propriety for when it´s appropriate to talk about a woman´s looks as a general matter. But I´ve long felt we lack a solid theoretical underpinning for easily discussing these issues, and why precisely it is that
