Death of Hugo Chavez could
set off shock waves across region

Telegraph [U.K.], by Philip Sherwell

Original Article

Posted By:PageTurner, 1/6/2013 11:19:48 AM

The orchestra played and loyal lawmakers erupted in adulatory applause as Hugo Chavez invoked Fidel Castro and Jesus Christ as his revolutionary role models. His right hand raised, the fiery Venezuelan leader echoed the famous call to arms of his Cuban mentor. "Fatherland, socialism or death," he proclaimed, then added with a typical flourish: "I swear by Christ, the greatest socialist in history." That was six years ago as "El Commandante" was sworn in for his third term as president and blew kisses to rose petal-tossing crowds

Invoking Christ as an advocate for large and intrusive government may be effective but it is hard to find any evidence for it in the biblical record.

Invocation of our Savior´s name by Chavez was meant to hide its more frequent usage, as in, "Jesus Christ, why is he destroying our country?".

Obama provokes similar usage of the Lord´s name.

There may be shock waves but the world will be a better place without Hugo Chavez, or any other wannabe socialist dictator. People like him stifle the best in mankind and might as well be ruling an ant colony.

FTA: The family´s prosperity flourished with their political power. Their small chicken and pig farm is now a sprawling state-of-the art ranch. And in Barinas, they live in a luxury mansion in a high-walled compound in the most exclusive neighbourhood and travel in convoys of heavily-armed SUVs

It´s funny how socialists always live like the people they claim to despise.

The current pro communist movement, today, under Obama is quite fascinating considering that we fought the spread of it like hell in the last century.

From what I´ve heard under the Cloward and Piven strategy, everybody makes $53,000 after the government is declared bankrupt. The problem with this idea is it´ll kill individual incentive and we´ll be stuck in the same rut, like Cuba since the 50´s.Obviously the ruling class elites would be exempt from the salary cap.

The world is full of suckers,in fact I know of one who fell for the Nigerian email scam.Look at all the Madoff suckers. This guy had people on a waiting list begging to be part of his investments. They never heard of something that sounds too good to be true.

You mean ol´ Hugo is still kicking... I´m planning an old Irish wake party in honor of his passing (like my dear departed Irish momma used to talk about ... lots of food and drink; almost worth having someone die for the party).

Reminds me of an old Wizard of Id cartoon. Rodney, the King´s stooge was on the street interviewing the peasants. He asks one of them, "What do you think of the King?"

The peasant bows his head and says, "He was a wonderful man, and I´m sorry he´s dead."

Rodney tells the peon that, no, he´s not dead, I´m just doing a popularity poll.

The peasant then says, "Well, I wish he were dead."

Nothing inspires religion and God quicker than the smell of sulphur for these athiests, liberals, baby killer progressives, communists, socialists democrats.

Chavez, who truly has HATED God and supplanted Him in his nation, has never failed to mention God since his diagnosis. As things got worse, Christ became a focal point in his conversation.

He is dead. Only machines are keeping his soul less miserable corpse going.

Expect that God hater Nancy Pelosi to do the same when her turn comes up. In the end they all know exactly where they are going but can´t help continue being demonic in this plane. Ultimately, everybody goes home. Chavez is going to his home. Check that, he is home.

Horror found an address in west Philadelphia. The gruesome testimony at the “House of Horrors” murder trial of abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell continued on Thursday, with two former employees describing scenes that strained the imagination. Ashley Baldwin, who began working at the cash-only Women’s Medical Society clinic in west Philadelphia when she was just 15, said that she routinely assisted Gosnell with abortions and, on five different occasions, saw babies moving following the procedure. In one case, Baldwin, who is now 22 and the mother of her own toddler, testified that she witnessed an aborted baby “screeching,” the Philadelphia

Britain has decided not to invite Argentine President Cristina Kirchner to the funeral of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, Downing Street said on Thursday. The decision follows on a special request from the Thatcher family. The UK government is still finalizing the list of foreign dignitaries who will receive invitations to the ceremonial funeral next Wednesday of the “Iron Lady”, who successfully led Britain into a war to expel Argentine forces that invaded the Falkland Islands in 1982. Prime Minister David Cameron´s Downing Street office said that some current world leaders would be invited, but Cristina Fernandez,

VALENCIA, Venezuela – It´s just after nightfall and the power is out again in untold hundreds of thousands — probably millions — of Venezuelan homes. The death of Margaret Thatcher received extensive media coverage in Chile, proving that the “Dama de Hierro” (“Iron Lady”) is still capable of stirring powerful emotions among Chileans—of irritation among her opponents and admiration from her supporters. Her passing occurred while Heritage economic experts were in Santiago to present results for Chile in the 2013 Index of Economic Freedom (a publication that celebrates the core principles to which Prime Minister Thatcher dedicated her political career). Several Chileans told us why Thatcher mattered so much to them and why Chile mattered to her.

In a ruling issued on Tuesday, the court said it was up to parliament to repeal a controversial provision in the penal code known as Section 377A, whose constitutionality has been questioned by a gay couple. "The issue in the present case no doubt is challenging and important, but it is not one which, in my view, justifies heavy-handed judicial intervention ahead of democratic change," Judge Quentin Loh said in his verdict.
