Oliver Stone: Hugo Chavez Did for

RUSH: This is hilarious. I have CNN on one of my monitors here, and you may have heard that Hugo Chavez -- the dictator and communist leader in Venezuela -- is nearing room temperature. And this has the CNN people distressed. I mean, he´s a great socialist leader! He´s done great things to impoverish his people, but everybody´s equal down there. It´s cool. And, of course, with Chavez nearing the great reward, the Great Socialist in the Sky, they´re bringing on (in advance of his expiration) a bunch of tributes. Normally they wait ´til people die to do tributes, but I

It´s becoming more & more common for people to feel they´ve been screwed by the government or circumstances (hell, I´m one of them, especially the government!), but increasingly intrusive government is not the solution.

American ingenuity is the answer, but too many socialists, and even communists, in congress are shackling it. Prayer didn´t work very well during the last election, and I blame hoity-toity so-called conservatives who stayed at home for it.

The afore-mentioned neo-cons have done it for the rest of us, and we´re witnessing history in the making.

The Communist Dicktater Bammy...
in order to do TO AmeriKa...
what Chavez has done TO Venezuela...

would need vast oceans of K-9 Jelly...
and reams of Trojans...
more than his trillion dollar deficit budget will allow Himself to buy.

Then he´ll have to pay child support
for the additional gummint dependents
he´s procreated into existence when his Trojans failed.

That´ll be the day.

For once I agree with Oliver Stone. His Hugo propaganda movie ´South of the Border´ was extremely good too, in that it showed all of latin America´s leftwing dictators in their unintentionally in their vain, selfish, vicious, and mendacious glory. Stone couldn´t see it, but I could. So it is with Hugo and Obama. Stone says it like it´s a good thing. Those with eyes to see see reality.

I am starting to approve of Stone - he´s upfront about the slimy evil agenda of the left.

A British man convicted of plotting an Al-Qaeda plane bombing told a New York court yesterday about a separate 2001 plan for a Malaysian pilot to blast his way into a jet´s cockpit. Saajid Badat, who was sentenced in 2005 to 13 years in jail as a co-conspirator in a notorious December 2001 plot to bomb US airliners, has testified about the Malaysian plan before. But his description of the apparently abandoned plot has a new resonance as investigators probe the fate of a Malaysia Airlines flight that disappeared on Saturday with 239 people on board. There has been no previous suggestion that

A rule of electoral politics is that when a Democratic wave is building, the media broadcast it like a foregone conclusion. When a Republican wave is building, Beltway pundits are the last to admit it. After Tuesday´s GOP win in a Florida special House election, even the press corps now agrees that Republicans are poised for major gains in November, assuming the GOP has the wit to exploit it. Democrats are spinning the defeat as no big deal, but no one outside the MSNBC mind-meld believes that. Democrats got their preferred candidate in Alex Sink, who had barely lost the governor´s

At the conclave of conservative activists in Washington last weekend, Paul Ryan dropped a metaphor on the Republican Party´s clan feud: "I´m Irish. That´s my idea of a family reunion." As someone who has spent a lifetime among the Irish, let me add that there are Irish feuds . . . and there are Irish feuds. Some get settled over the casket of the deceased. "Jimmy, you know I loved you when you were alive. God rest." Let me offer an alternative metaphor. Death Blow: Almost two years ago, President Obama´s solicitor general told the Supreme Court that without the individual mandate, ObamaCare would fail. But after winning that victory, the administration itself has effectively killed the mandate. In his oral arguments before the court, Donald Verrilli made it abundantly clear that, without the individual mandate, ObamaCare would "make matters worse, not better." As he told the justices, the "guaranteed issue" and "community rating" regulations at the heart of ObamaCare won´t work if you let the young and healthy choose not to buy insurance. States that tried it, he explained, found these regulations to be "highly

Campaign Finance: Amid growing signs of corruption at the heart of the Democratic Party´s political fundraising efforts, the media and Democrats in Congress seem only too happy to ignore the scandal. Jeffrey E. Thompson may not be a household name, but you can bet the Washington businessman is known to Democrats. On Monday, he pleaded guilty to federal conspiracy charges in a case involving fundraising for Democratic Washington Mayor Vincent Gray´s 2010 campaign. So who is Thompson? He has reportedly raised upward of $3 million for Democrats. And he told prosecutors that Hillary Clinton aide Minyon Moore asked him to fund her

The U.S. is at "a constitutional tipping point" and "in the midst of a constitutional crisis." Has President Obama unilaterally overturned the constitutional framework of three branches that is the basis of our unique and successful system of self-government? That question is not just partisan bickering by Republicans and Tea Party activists. It was spoken in all seriousness in testimony before the House Judiciary Committee by a distinguished constitutional law professor who voted for Obama. Jonathan Turley of George Washington University said that the "massive gravitational shift of authority to the executive branch" is unconstitutional and threatens the stability of our separation

Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback is the latest Republican to twist Ronald Reagan´s "Eleventh Commandment" to suit his purposes by falsely accusing Sen. Ted Cruz of violating it. According to Brownback, the junior senator from Texas is a big meanie for pointing out the objective fact that Bob Dole´s namby-pamby 1996 bid for the presidency was disastrous. The congenitally outraged Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) agrees with Brownback and is demanding that Cruz apologize. But what did Cruz actually say to ignite such passions? “You want to lose elections? You have probably seen all of the ridiculous speculating about the GOP nomination in 2016. This is still speculating, but my sincere hope is you don’t think it’s ridiculous too. Kentucky Senator Rand Paul is laying the foundation for his presidential bid in concrete and steel. First, forget about Jeb Bush unless you want to hand Hillary eight years in the White House. The latest Rasmussen poll shows her leading Jeb in a general election 47 percent to 33. His name is Bush and to the general public the specifics of how smart he is doesn’t matter one iota.
