White House pushes forward
on immigration ahead of
bigger reform fight

Washington Post, by David Nakamura and Tara Bahrampour

The Obama administration’s decision this week to ease visa requirements for hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants represents its latest move to reshape immigration through executive action, even as the White House gears up for an uncertain political fight over a far-more-sweeping legislative package in the months ahead. Immigration advocates on Thursday hailed a rule change at the Department of Homeland Security that would make it easier for many undocumented immigrants to stay in the United States as they seek permanent residency

Heck, just push it all through by executive order. Who´s gonna try to stop Obama from doing whatever he wants anyway?
Constitution?? We don´t need no stinking constitution. We´ve got The One.

Oh yes, the pundits do, the Talkers do, but where are ANY Congressmen/women out there being outraged ? Going on Fox isn´t enough. They should be having town meetings, giving speeches on enemy media, getting in the face of Ameica, educating. But NOOOooooo. Where are they?

They already have an immigration law that was passed by the US Congress and that was signed into law by the US President on the books now. The problem is that millions of illegal aliens simply refuse to abide by that law. The liberal Democrats use any excuse to refuse to enforce the immigration laws, and now support the illegal aliens because they consider them to be future Democrat voters.

Under those conditions how can anyone believe that aliens will ever abide by any new immigration laws that the liberal Democrats pass and President Obama signs into law?

By allowing Obama and the liberal Democrats to pass a "path to citizenship" amnesty for up to twenty million illegal aliens, the Republicans would be committing what amounts to long-term political suicide by eventually providing the Democrats with many millions of new voters in the years ahead.

You can also bet that any new immigration laws written by the liberal Democrats will make it much easier for additional millions of illegal aliens to come into the USA in the future, and also to become eligible for additional "path to citizenship" amnesties that essentially amount to an "open borders" policy supplying the liberal Democrats with untold numbers of new foreign born socialist oriented voters on into the future.

Now is the time to throw down the gantlet. Historically, 70% of Latinos vote for the Democrats. Amnesty will turn AZ, CO, NV, and FL permanently blue. Game, set, match. No goodies for criminals who have violated immigration law, employment laws, and who´ve falsified government documents.

#4, Illegals are not future Democrat voters, they are current Democrat voters that Obama wants to thank for voting for him once, twice, perhaps multiple times. As to Repubs, they have to go to court immediately for injunction to stop Obama´s brazen attempt to destroy what Congress has passes. If courts refuse to issue temporary restraining order until hearings can be held, then start impeachment proceedings. If Repubs cannot make case that Obama is acting as illegally as illegals, then they should stop being law makers.

It´s not as if there isn´t any evidence of the chaos that will follow/is already following. All one has to do is look at the numbers and unintended and intended consequences in the UK, where remedial measures by the current Conservative/LibDem coalition are having little effect. The UK problem grew too big under the previous 13-year-term Labour government and the EU is shoving more immigrants in the direction of the UK. Sounds like the White House is becoming the USEU.

The billion dollar dream is over. A second day of upsets ended any chance of someone having a perfect NCAA tournament bracket in Warren Buffet´s $1 billion challenge. It was a favorite that provided the first blemish on the final three people´s brackets in the Quicken Loans contest on the Yahoo Sports website. All three had ninth-seeded George Washington beating Memphis. The Tigers won 71-66. "If Warren Buffett wants to donate the (billion) to our university, we will take it and use it in good company," Memphis coach Josh Pastner said. "We´ll find a way." It only took 25 games

Republicans on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee are pressing the Department of Justice for more information about contact government lawyers reportedly made with Lois Lerner, the former IRS employee at the center of the scandal over the IRS’s targeting of tea party groups for special scrutiny. The fresh push from committee chairman Darrell Issa of California and committee member Jim Jordan of Ohio is a signal the GOP will continue to pursue possible contempt charges against Ms. Lerner after she invoked the fifth amendment right against self-incrimination on two occasions when called before the committee. “For over eight

Does our Constitution guarantee the freedom of religion, or does it merely allow a more limited freedom to worship? The difference is profound. Worship is an event. Religion is a way of life. Specifically, does the First Amendment guarantee believers of all faiths the freedom to practice their ethics, educate their children and operate family businesses based on their religious beliefs, moral convictions and freedom of conscience? Do Americans have the freedom to place our beliefs and ethics at the center of our business practices — or must we ignore them when we form a company? These questions will be

Rand Paul is the most intriguing — and for Democrats, perhaps the most frightening — figure in today’s Republican Party. The Kentucky senator, who is more than flirting with a 2016 presidential run, is making a smart play for the millennial generation that was key to President Obama’s twin victories and that his own party has convincingly repelled. Paul’s unlikely pilgrimage to the progressive precincts of the University of California at Berkeley offered the most convincing evidence so far that he is serious about carving out this (sorry, President Clinton) third way space — and a demonstration of his potential

The disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 has exposed the technological limits of satellites, which can see a license plate from space — if not necessarily read it — but struggle to find a missing jetliner. These limits are shaped by physics, money and practicality. Military and commercial satellites are not closely observing and amassing data about the blank places on the map in lightly traveled seas — such as remote areas of the Indian Ocean thousands of miles from where Flight MH370 vanished from radar. There’s also a trade-off when scrutinizing the surface from space: You can go wide

When the National Zoo’s female sloth bear, Khali, delivered three cubs last December, she consumed one of them right after it was born. Carnivores do this in the wild when there is a sick offspring. A deceased cub in the den can draw predators, the zoo said. But a week later, when Khali consumed a second cub, keepers feared for the third. So for the first time in the zoo’s history, keepers took a sloth bear cub from its mother to raise by hand. Three months later, after weeks of incubators, midnight feedings and quiet sessions in a rocking chair,

Early in the Ukraine crisis, when the Europeans were working on bringing Ukraine into the EU system and Vladimir Putin was countering with threats and bribes, one British analyst lamented that “we went to a knife fight with a baguette.” That was three months ago. Life overtakes parody. During the Ukrainian prime minister’s visit to Washington last week, his government urgently requested military assistance. The Pentagon refused. It offered instead military ration kits. Putin mobilizes thousands of troops, artillery and attack helicopters on Ukraine’s borders and Washington counters with baguettes, American-style. I think most of us had worked that out. “What we are going to do,” Obama declared “is mobilize all of our diplomatic resources to make sure that we’ve got a strong international coalition that sends a clear message.” The clear message will be this — please, please don’t invade more territory. In ruling out military action, Obama explained that “the Ukrainians don’t want [an actual war with Russia], nobody would want that.” But if Russia continues to devour their country, the Ukrainians are no less

Federal officials have no qualms flying the friendly skies in style, regularly using executive jets and other planes in the government’s fleet of 1,700 aircraft for everyday travel. But they often don’t track how much such trips cost or the reasons why they skipped cheaper commercial flights in favor of firing up one of Uncle Sam’s aircraft. And lawmakers in Congress — usually charged with overseeing or reining in such expenditures — have their own addiction to luxury travel with a growing tendency to fly first class. Those findings by two separate watchdogs in Congress are the latest examples of a

Is Barack Obama simply too busy to be Chief Executive of the United States? Apparently. One of the primary functions of the president is to keep the nation safe, to preserve it from its enemies. To do that effectively, one would actually have to maintain something of a consistent level of attention to the moving pieces that directly influence how future events will unfold. None other than the truly sycophantic thinks for a second that President Obama cares a whit for anything that does not involve fundamentally altering the social composition of this country. Or golf. The suspensions — and disparities — begin at the earliest grades. Black children represent about 18 percent of children in preschool programs in schools, but they make up almost half of the preschoolers who are suspended more than once, the report said.
