Oliver Stone revises history, again
Washington Examiner [DC], by Gregory Kane

Original Article

Fortunately for film director Oliver Stone, there is no "truth in the title" requirement for television shows. Stone´s latest directorial effort is a series of one-hour documentaries called "The Untold History of the United States." The programs run on the Showtime network. I only needed to view the first two shows to determine what the title should actually be: "A Left-winger´s Biased, Tendentious and Highly Partisan History of the United States." In the very first show, Stone and its writers presumed to lecture Americans about the Soviet Union´s contribution to defeating Germany in World War II.

All this series lacks is an endorsement from Obama, though that is surely forthcoming.

Russia´s terrible weather conditions helped beat Germany.Pushing tank brigades through 6 ft. deep mud pits with unbearable cold and wind can beat anybody.

Stone´s idiotic assertions are just 1 pc. of the overall liberal´s grand scheme to demonize this country and what it really stands for. Our real history is being eradicated from the education system to build up support for dumping the Constitution..

This country has spent countless billion over the decades trying to protect us against foreign enemies when the real enemies are from within and can finally let it all hang out with Obama as president.

Obama comes out and makes statements about helping and supporting the middle class while his minons are behind the scenes trying to kill it off. Liberals hate the middle class because they think it´s unfair they have more than other people.

If you follow the Cloward and Piven strategy to it´s bitter, hellish end, everyone in the country makes the same yearly salary. The only way to get to that tipping point is overwhelm the social safety net and declare some sort of national emergency..

There was no way for Obama to accomplish this with real Americans only, that´s why he´s opened the flood gates to illegals.

Oliver Stone knows nothing of history. Maybe he should have read any of several well documented books about the absolute horror of Stalin´s Soviet Union. In the early 90s, the Soviet archives were made available and scholars were able read and translate them into other languages. The archives show what a monster Stalin was (and Lenin too) and how even Stalin´s most loyal lieutenants were terrorised. Stalin ordered Molotov to murder his lovely and devoted Jewish wife, Polina, just to test his loyalty. That a sobbing Molotov delivered the bullet behind her ear, should dispell any notion that America could have or should have worked with such a sadistic maniac. And too bad Oliver Stone wasn´t old enough to have been on orders to invade the Japanese mainland. Maybe he would think differently about our use of the "A" bomb, whose secrets by the way, Soviet spies had already provided to the Red Tsar. All should read the chilling "Stalin, the Court of the Red Tsar" by Simon Sebag Montefiore.

A few years ago, a friend of my son who was born in russia but grew up here in the USA, told me that the ONLY thing the USA truly contributed to WWII was the guns and ammunition. That the brave russians were the ones that, solely, defeated Germany.
My father was a WWII vet and I could not believe the shaking that overtook me and the anger at the disrepect and falsehoods this young man said about my country. The country that gave him and his russian family such a good life.
In the last ten years I have met a number of people living and working, legally, in this country, but consider themselves part of another country and, according to their own words, are just here for the money. They have no love or loyalty for the USA.

I watched the first show and couldn´t believe how inaccurate the info was being presented. Then I saw it was produced and narrated by O. Stone and new why. I watched a few more shows and sure enough it was mostly anti American propaganda. Why don´t these hollywiedo´s just leave if they hate this country so much.

We have a couple of photos that will be of interest to Texas voters. While ethical questions about Wendy Davis’ debt-creating bond work continue to swirl in Texas, the senator herself turned up at an event in Key West, Florida with the disgraceful turncoat Charlie Crist.(Snip for series of tweets)Good question. Davis isn’t saying. Sick of being in Texas, which she recently described as “toxic?” Does her campaign still think voters “across the country” will help her win the Lone Star State? With his disapproval ratings at record highs, his health law flailing, President Obama decided 2014 would be the year for a new agenda. "Inequality has deepened," he warned in the State of the Union. "Upward mobility has stalled." He laid out a roster of populist proposals: more unemployment insurance, raising the federal minimum wage, giving women "equal pay for equal work." The White House and congressional Democrats have since spent every waking minute holding rallies, issuing reports, tweeting and giving interviews on all those issues. The political calculus is that vulnerable Republicans can be bludgeoned into joining Democrats to support poll-tested

KIEV, UKRAINE — To Viktor Yushchenko, the man at the heart of Ukraine’s Orange Revolution a decade ago, March 2014 looks a lot like August 1939. Europe, once again, is at war. But Europe is also, once again, refusing to realize it and react. Yushchenko, the former Ukrainian president who has spent much of his political life at odds with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and incurred his wrath, says there should not be any doubt about what is going on: Putin’s Russia has been waging economic and information war on his country for years. It has now added a territorial war

Another man might have assumed, correctly, that launching a campaign of insult and insinuation against two billionaires would result in renewed attention to his own finances. Not Harry Reid. The Senate Democratic leader since 2005, and the Senate majority leader since 2007, is not one to reflect before speaking. His mouth runs far ahead of his brain. In recent years Reid has declared an American war “lost” while our troops still fought overseas; praised President Obama for his “light” skin and “no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one”; asserted falsely and without evidence that Mitt Romney had not paid

Out in the West Texas town of El Paso We need a fence on the Mexican line. But to the south where the land is forbidding, Agents and cameras and sensors are fine. (with apologies to Marty Robbins) The border fence with Mexico looms large in the ongoing debate over immigration. The Secure Fence Act of 2006, the “Where’s the Fence?” ad in 2007, John McCain’s “Complete the Danged Fence” ad in 2010, and the meretricious Corker-Hoeven amendment to last year’s Senate amnesty bill all point to the importance of border fences in the popular mind and the policy discussion. TheDC’s Alex Pappas sparked controversy recently when he reported on the proliferation of rumors that Hillary Clinton “will not run for president again because of health concerns.” The story grew legs when Politico’s Roger Simon penned a piece about the piece about the rumors. (To his credit, Simon didn’t throw stones — which was good, inasmuch as reporting on the existence of rumors is pretty widespread.) As anyone in DC can attest, the rumors, of course, are whispered about in green rooms and at parties and dinners. And why not? Hillary is assumed to be running for an incredibly demanding job

On Wednesday, the House Homeland Security Committee released a report summarizing its investigation into the April 15, 2013, terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon. Among the report’s key findings: Nearly one year after twin backpack bombs killed three people and wounded more than 260 others, U.S. officials are still unsure about the extent of the terrorists’ foreign ties. Two Chechen brothers, Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, planted the bombs. There are clear indications that they were inspired by jihadism. But questions have surrounded Tamerlan’s associates since shortly after the attack and those questions have not been fully resolved. The elder Tsarnaev brother

The wall-to-wall news coverage naturally focuses on the illegal arms deals and the murder-for-hire charges against Yee’s campaign fundraiser, Keith Jackson. But there are broader implications about the way Yee did business as a legislator. The FBI affidavit summarizes well a host of incidents in this way: “Senator Yee would engage in official acts… in exchange for campaign donations and money.” During the sting, Yee told one confidential source, “By

Even a relatively small regional nuclear war could trigger global cooling, damage the ozone layer and cause droughts for more than a decade, researchers say. These findings should further spur the elimination of the more than 17,000 nuclear weapons that exist today, scientists added. During the Cold War, a nuclear exchange between superpowers was feared for years. One potential consequence of such a global nuclear war was "nuclear winter," wherein nuclear explosions sparked huge fires whose smoke, dust and ash blotted out the sun, resulting in a "twilight at noon" for weeks. Much of humanity might eventually die from the resulting crop

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) said the fault of struggling to sign up on the Obamacare exchanges didn’t lie with the faulty website, but with the people who weren’t “educated on how to use the Internet.” Explaining the reasoning behind the latest Obamacare delay, Reid said too many people just didn’t know to use their computer properly and needed more time. Apparently, it had nothing to do with the well-documented failings of the website that have embarrassed the White House for months. “We have hundreds of thousands of people who tried to sign up who didn’t get through,” he said.

Okay, THAT was certainly embarrassing. At the end of a joint news conference with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte in the Netherlands on Tuesday, the applause for Barack Obama came from a grand total of one guy. One. After thanking the crowd twice for suffering through his boring, standard worn-out spiel, Obama looked around the room, expecting the usual fanfare and applause he receives from his loyal followers back home. It never came. Instead, the Leader of the Free World was met with one slow, awkward clap. Question: was MSNBC’s Chris Matthews in the house?
