Fiscal-Cliff Ink Barely Dry,
Obama Already Moving
To Hike More Taxes

Investors Business Daily, by Betsy Mccaughey

When you get your W-2 wage and tax statement this month, look at Box 12. For the first time ever, as a result of the Obama health law, the IRS is requiring employers to report the cost of health insurance you get at work. The Obama administration claims that it´s informational, so you´ll appreciate the value of your health plan. Believe that and I´ll sell you a bridge in Brooklyn. "Taxpayers should be uncomfortable with the implications of the W-2 reporting requirement," warns Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform. He calls Box 12 a "clear set-up"

´MOVING TO HIKE MORE TAXES´

well of course

when you give in to a bully, all it does is embolden him for the next time

Repubs had their chance to put a stop to it, by passing a bare-bones budget and telling Dingy Harry and Bambi ´take it or leave it´ and walking away

Instead, they tried to appease them and the MSM, and now get more of the same

John Roberts needs to step down from the Supreme Court for allowing this to be foisted on the people.

What is amazing is that people on welfare do not have to have reported the amount they receive in benefits, but working people need to be taxed and taxed and taxed for everything.

How about this: TAX welfare checks and food stamps..1% this year, 2% next year, 3% the year after..and keep going until we reach 100%.
After all, Obama says we all have to have skin in the game.
Low information voters can get a lesson of the real world.

Grover Norquist is right. Obama plans to tax your company benefits (health, pension matching, etc.). Then he´ll go after your retirement savings accounts to supplement the SS trust fund. All part of his goal of leveling the playing field. What a guy!

#5 Even worse is the talk about how they want to federalize worker´s IRA´s.The idea is to have the funds in the IRA be invested in Govt. bonds so as to insulate people from market risks.Of course under that scenario the worker takes on the Govt. risk and is prevented from doing what he/she thinks is in their best interest.

Washington - President Barack Obama hinted at possible additional sanctions on Russia, warning his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin that the United States and its allies would "never" recognize Crimea´s breakaway vote Sunday. In a telephone call, Obama told Putin that the vote that found 95.5 percent of ballots in favor of the Crimean Peninsula leaving Ukraine to rejoin Russia violated the Ukrainian constitution. "President Obama emphasized that the Crimean ´referendum,´ which violates the Ukrainian constitution and occurred under duress of Russian military intervention, would never be recognized by the United States and the international community," the White House said in a statement. Most commentators viewed the February jobs report released on March 7 as good news, indicating that the labor market is on a favorable growth path. A more careful reading shows that employment actually fell—as it has in four out of the past six months and in more than one-third of the months during the past two years. Although it is often overlooked, a key statistic for understanding the labor market is the length of the average workweek. Small changes in the average workweek imply large changes in total hours worked. The average workweek in the U.S. has fallen to 34.2

While several other elements of the health-care law have unilaterally been delayed, top White House adviser Dan Pfeiffer ruled out that President Obama would delay the individual mandate. “That will not happen?” David Gregory pressed Pfeiffer on Meet the Press. “That will not happen,” he asserted. Pfeiffer’s guarantee comes days after the Wall Street Journal reported that the Obama administration quietly provided a two-year “hardship exemption” from the mandate for those who had their previous health-care plans canceled. The Department of Health and Human Services included that exemption in a separate announcement delaying another aspect of the law: one that would allow insurance

The investigation into the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines 3786.KU +2.13% Flight 370 sharpened its focus on sabotage, according to aviation and industry officials, amid strong indications that one or more people on the plane deliberately changed its course and tried to mask its location. Officials suspect two different systems were shut off after the plane took off last weekend, one shortly after the other, people familiar with the investigation said. About an hour into the flight, the plane´s transponders stopped functioning, making it much more difficult for air-traffic control personnel to track or identify it via radar.

U.S. officials announced plans Friday to relinquish federal government control over the administration of the Internet, a move that pleased international critics but alarmed some business leaders and others who rely on the smooth functioning of the Web. Pressure to let go of the final vestiges of U.S. authority over the system of Web addresses and domain names that organize the Internet has been building for more than a decade and was supercharged by the backlash last year to revelations about National Security Agency surveillance. It’s a district Ms. Sink carried in her unsuccessful race for governor against Rick Scott, a district that Barack Obama carried in his two elections, and a district that demographically now favors Democrats.
