If more Rebublicans received primary challenges and a few lost, then the other Rebublicans might suddenly grow spines. It is the Tea Parties´ elected Reps in the house that threaten Boehner, not Democrats. We have to heal ourselves from within and it starts by holding our ´conservative´ representatives accountable.

It would be a start.

We need another Senator to represent us like Ted Cruz. If someone like Ted challenges Cornyn he´ll get my vote. Senator Cornyn just wants to get along with everyone. He never made any real effort to cut spending (meaning spending less than the previous year not just a slight reduction in the rate of increase which is the DC definition of massive cuts).

It was a "Free Vote" for him to vote the other way as it would have passed anyway. This was a McConnell tactic to use to force the House by making it seem overwhelmingly bi-partisan in the Senate.

Cornyn is a RINO´s RINO.

I wonder if soon-to-be-former Sen-tor Jim DeMint might know of a few challengers for ´Big John´ Cornyn....

In the first place the Houston Comical is a leftist Hearst rag so the editorial idea here I think is to replace Cornyn with someone left of Cornyn. Cornyn is more conservative than portrayed here, but I sometimes think he is morphing into Kay Bailey Hutchison. Senators like to think they are in a more deliberative branch but that hasn´t been true since the early part of the 20th century. They are super congressmen that you can´t get rid of as often.

John Cornyn has one of the most conservative records in congress. What´s the problem? I admire and respect the guy, as do apparently enough fellow Texans to elect him and reelect him. Ted Cruz may be a really good senator, but it seems to me a few of you ought to wait and see how he does before adjusting his halo.

If you are a Republican from Texas, you are very very conservative compared to most other Senators. However, Cornyn´s vote to swallow this cr*p sandwich from Obama will hard to get over. Yeah, let´s primary him.

Republicans continue to set the table for democrats. All that remains is to feed them one bite at a time.

No conservative would have voted for that piece of garbage bill. Here´s what Ted Poe said about it:

I voted "no" because this so-called “deal” is toxic for American families and small businesses. Make no mistake about it: this bill is not intended to pay down the deficit. It is just another massive Washington spending bill in disguise. And the American people will once again be left to pick up the tab.

It´s time for him to go.

Forget it. Senator John Cornyn isn´t going anywhere. He serves Texas well and Texans appreciate it. As for this bill, we have to choose our battles. I´m not going to vote for Don Quixote in this kind of situation. When we have the White House or the Senate we can be pickier.

Cornyn used to be a dependable chap-- now he is taking of Washington Kay´s role.

I will vote for him over a Demonrat, but he pretty well lost my strong support because he won´t stand up for smaller government reach into our lives and pockets.

I strongly support Ted Cruz, and John Cornyn pretty well thought Dewhurt was going to get the nod because the "old bulls" wanted the money candidate who blew off the social conservatives.

That´s not going to happen in Texas!

We will see how the year plays out. If any GOP vote for anything the democrats vote for, that person deserves a primary challenge.
