| The “fiscal cliff” compromise has been heralded as a saving grace for middle class taxpayers, their families and the unemployed. But buried in the fine print of the 150-page deal are also some lesser-known New Year’s gifts to some of Washington’s favorite industries. Under the plan, the federal government would eat nearly $100 billion in forgone tax revenue over the next two years by extending special tax credits for select businesses that had been set to expire.

There´s probably a lot more tax carve outs than we´ll hear about.This tax increase was nothing but satisfying Obama´s greedy, fringe left supporters to make them think they have more freebies coming.Another year of unemployment extensions simply means another year´s vacation for a lot of people..
There has to be tons of people,especially the professor types who simply cannot understand why the economy isn´t doing better,despite billions of borrowed,printed and tax money being thrown in the mix. Their answer is the money isn´t enough
The gun and ammo industries have a 6 month backlog of orders which tells me the right in this country has a lot of money they´re not spending on other things because they simply hate Obama.

Speaking in Ohio this week, the Youngstown Vindicator reports, veteran investigative journalist Bob Woodward recalled an “unflattering” story about a dining experience with former Vice President Al Gore. According to the local paper, Woodward “told an unflattering, but amusing story about sitting next to former Vice President Al Gore at a dinner, saying being with him was taxing.” “To be really honest, it’s unpleasant,” the journalist added of his experience with Gore. Woodward also said that the former VP “pressed him on why the journalist didn’t go after Bush, who beat Gore in the 2000 presidential election, over the war in Iraq.”

The buildup to the South American OPEC nation´s April 14 vote has been characterized by highly personalized attacks between both candidates hoping to replace the late Hugo Chavez. At the weekend, Maduro compared opposition complaints about Cuban doctors working in Venezuela with the persecution of Jews in Nazi Germany. MOBILE, Ala. — The crippled cruise ship whose sewage-filled breakdown in the Gulf of Mexico subjected thousands to horrendous conditions tore loose Wednesday from the dock where it´s being repaired, lumbered downriver and crunched into a cargo ship. Wind gusts near hurricane strength shoved the 900-foot Carnival Triumph free from its mooring in downtown Mobile, Ala., where the ship was brought in a five-day ordeal that began when an engine fire stranded it off of Mexico in February. Hours later, four tug boats were using several mooring lines to secure the ship to a nearby pier.

At least 46 died Wednesday in and around the city of La Plata, Gov. Daniel Scioli said. Six deaths were reported a day earlier in the nation´s capital. Amid an accelerated rise in expenditure, increasing losses in state-run oil companies, and costly subsidies, Venezuela´s income is not enough for the Government, which currently faces a serious fiscal imbalance although the oil basket averages a record high of USD 103 per barrel. As a result, two devaluations have been implemented in the last five weeks so as to obtain more bolivars per petrodollars. However, it all seems that despite the significant adjustment in the foreign exchange rate, which will spur the cost of imports and therefore will hit the people, the fiscal crisis will continue.

Governor Brown on Saturday announced he´ll be granting pardons to 65 former felons, including a convicted murderer. The AP says most of the pardons were granted to criminals convicted of low-level offenses, though not all were small-time offenders: Most were for people convicted of selling or possessing drugs. However, Robert Phillip Brown was convicted of murder. He was paroled in 1996 after serving 15 years in prison. ... Others pardoned included Francisco Mauricio Nunes, who was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and James David Vercellino, who was convicted of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence.

Texas employment surged in February as employers added the most new jobs ever in a month. The Texas Workforce Commission on Friday reported 80,600 new jobs across the state. That more than made up for a slow start in January, when an upwardly revised 13,800 jobs were added. It’s no secret that Egyptian slavery is as old as the pyramids. It’s also common knowledge that Barack Obama’s ancestors owned slaves. So it’s really no surprise that he helped usher in a radical Egpytian regime that is restoring slavery. According to the AP Egypt’s new constitution has dropped its ban on slavery: Omissions of certain articles, such as bans on slavery or promises to adhere to international rights treaties, were equally worrying to critics of the new draft, who pulled out from the panel before the vote. The Obama administration declined to criticize Egypt’s constitution despite its slavery clause.

Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

North Korea’s young leader Kim Jong-un is waiting for United States President Barack Obama to make a phone call to Pyongyang to discuss easing tensions on the Korean peninsula, according to Russia’s news agency Itar-Tass.
