The character assassination of Hillary Clinton

| The new year began not with a cannonball off the “fiscal cliff” but with an outbreak of conspiratorial cynicism. This time it’s Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, whose fall and concussion, followed by a blood clot between her brain and skull, has prompted an embarrassment of theories. The gist: That woman will do anything to avoid testifying about Benghazi. Several commentators on the right opined via Twitter and TV, those most deadly hosts for the parasites of rumor and innuendo, that Clinton was faking her concussion to duck out on her appearance

Comments: Be nice now.

Kathleen Parker is a hack and one of the corrupt media types that are ruining our nation.
John Bolton prefaced all his comments surrounding Hillary with a statement that he hoped there was nothing serious wrong with her health, and if there were, that she recover quickly.
Having said that, how do you believe anything said by someone who continually lies and obfuscates the truth

If PIAPS isn´t tough enough to play with the big boys, she needs to take her ball and go on home.
She is Secretary of State. She doesn´t need Kathleen Parker or anyone else to defend her. Either she is tough enough to do that for herself, or she isn´t tough enough to be in that position -- or, God forbid -- ever as president.
I don´t know if this is real or a stunt to get out of testifying, but, in either case, by Kathleen Parker acting like PIAPS needs defending, she is basically admitting that PIAPS isn´t strong or tough enough to do the job.
Sounds really sexists to me...

What if she had been on the flight to Iran which crash landed and suffered a concussion from the rough landing? It would have been divine justice or karma if she died after attempting to broker a deal to terrorists, after allowing terrorists to kill 4 Americans working under her despite pleas for help. May not be compassionate but I think Hillary really has blood on her hands. She has compounded the wrong by letting those 4 get reshuffled while pretending to mete punishment to these supposedly scapegoated functionaries.

The Secret Service recorded this conversation: Hillary: "What would you do if I died? Would you get married again? BILL: "Definitely not!" HILLARY: "Why not? Don´t you like being married?" BILL: "Of course I do." HILLARY: "Then why wouldn´t you remarry?" BILL: "Okay, okay, I´d get married again." HILLARY: "You would?" (with a hurt look) BILL: (makes audible groan) HILLARY: "Would you live in our house?" BILL: "Sure, it´s a great house." HILLARY: "Would you sleep with her in our bed?" BILL: "Where else would we sleep?" HILLARY: "Would you take her golfing with you? BILL: "Yes, those are always good times." HILLARY: "Would you let her use my clubs? BILL: "No, she´s left-handed." HILLARY: -- silence -- BILL: "Damn."

She IS dumpy - I saw a picture of her in a polka dot outfit back when she was sucking up to Obama as one of his hand-prized picked conservative journalists in the early days of his presidency. Obama was taking her around and working mightily to impress her, which he obviously did. She was short, fat, dumpy and had the look of a squishy chew toy. Don´t believe her photoshopped photo in the column. She´s squishy fat and needs to watch her carb count.

It probably explains her enmity toward Sarah Palin. All of Parker´s arguments (and thoughts) are emotional, so I think her instant hatred of Palin was primarily emotional jealousy about Palin´s looks.

If I was the head of a gov´t dept. that was coming under withering fire and I did nothing wrong,I would crawl over hot coals to testify and clear my name.Hot coals can´t get Clinton out of her hospital bed.
Parker became an overnight sensation with the left when she trashed Palin, she basked in the glory of helping to bring her down. Now she´s going back to the same crowd of morons who idolized her for doing that. She was totally dreadful on the short lived show with Spitzer, thinking she was cute with the librarian look.
I guess Parker has no intellectual curiosity about this whole Benghazi situation from start to finish. How can the state dept.take the whole blame with it´s head snake ducking all the liability about it?

What Parker fails to point out in her smarmy holier-than-thou little article is that both the Clintons have a long history of being liars and when you are a known liar it comes back to bite you even if you happen to be telling the truth. There is still no real proof of any of this other than the word of her toadies at the State Department who say what they are told to say.

It´s always the same story; nasty insults thrown at conservatives daily with not a peep from those like Parker; a little heat thrown at Democrats met with shock. Conservatives are accused of the most dastardly acts from the floor of both houses and the Whitehouse and its just politics. Give the same to the Democrats and it is just intolerable. It keeps the onus on Republicans to stay on the defensive as the party that wants to throw grandma out on the street and starve children. Parker´s piece is just her contribution to keep that label going so she will be invited to the right cocktail parties.

Good points #43 on the medical commute to New York. The DC commies have a rolodex for different occasions: They dial up Wesley Clark when they need a liberal minded general´s opinion; dial up New York Columbia Pres hospital when they need medical cover; dial up Elijah Cummings when they need some racial spin to guilt the opposition into caving to their point of view; dial up Keith Ellison when a muslim American perspective is needed for their pro-Sharia propaganda, etc.

People who like the sauce, fall a lot- breaking bones, hitting heads, etc. This is one´s first thought when it comes to Hillary. The second is avoidance of unpleasantness, The Benghazi inquisition looms, big time damage to reputation prevails. The last possibilities are the subdural hematoma, brain tumor, aneurysm. We have our pick. If it is one of the latter, forgive me for thinking the former.

Yes, any character problems that Hillary has, she created herself. She hid important files that had information about her fraudulent Whitewater case, and she then finds them months later. She lied under oath; she protected her lying husband. She did it all to herself.

#37, you might be right that one reason Kathleen Parker despises Sarah Palin, while admiring of Hillary Clinton is Parker´s envy of Palin´s looks.
A bigger reason however is that Parker likes Hillary´s "pro-choice" position on abortion. And Palin, of course, is a shining embodiment of a woman living her pro-life beliefs.
Whenever I see a RINO like Kathleen Parker or David Frum, all a-froth-at-the-mouth over Sarah Palin, I can´t help but think that a great deal of guilt lies behind their rabid Palin hatred.

The press loses all curiosity and veracity when Dems are involved. This is the secretary of state. Where are the news conferences with her physicians?

Parker makes a valid point about the bipartisan vitriolic nature of our present political system. This thread validates that. " The rush to character assassination seems to be our only bipartisan imperative and is a blight on our political system. In this brooding age of superstition and portent, every misspoken word is a lie, every human error a hanging offense." I believed in the beginning, like many , that there was something funky about her stomach virus excuse. The medical information released by the State Dept has been vague and their refusal to give more detailed information, including the exact date on which she fell , has fueled doubt. However, her doctors did issue a statement in early December , barely reported , that she was dehydrated and fell. How she was allowed to get to this state of severe dehydration and why she was left alone to fall , is still a mystery. The physicians are not lying about the clot and her anticoagulant treatment, but, I believe they are couching their statements and only releasing partial information.

Hillary is a pathological liar. She reported in 2008 that the Serbs were shooting at her in Bosnia and she and Chelsie had to duck and run for it all the way to an exposed limo, and that was a lie.
I don´t know if Hillary is communist or just a dumb lesbian.

Kathleen is from my neck of the woods and we use to be proud of her. Then she was the first "conservative" to eviserate Palin and kept at it. So, I realized what an empty person she was. Believe she got an award for bringing down Palin, just like Katie Couric got an award for doing the same thing. These two women are below all respect.

Forecasts for this hurricane season are already being released, and according to weather experts, this year could be almost as stormy as last year and that could have implications for homeowners and insurers.Meteorologists expect to see 16 tropical storms and hurricanes in 2013, according to Weather Services International. That´s fewer than last year, but still higher than the historical average of 11 per year, noted Paul Walsh, vice president of weather analytics at The Weather Channel. And those storms are more likely to make landfall, according to weather experts in a recent Ceres report entitled "Stormy Future

A retired man has fallen victim to a pet poodle hoax after his local veterinarian uncovered he had been sold two giant rodents pumped up with steroids. Bargain hunters rummaging around Argentina’s largest flea market, La Salada, have been duped into spending hundreds of dollars on what they have been told is the dog of their dreams. In reality, they’ve just been sold what locals call the ‘Brazilian rat’ – a ferret pumped up on steroids and groomed to resemble a fluffy toy poodle. The retired man was initially fooled by the $75 price tag for a pet

KABUL, Afghanistan -- A NATO airstrike in eastern Afghanistan killed 11 civilians, 10 of them children, in addition to the Taliban militants it was trying to hit, Afghan officials said. The strike late Saturday in the Shigal district of restive Kunar province near Pakistan was called by coalition forces after they and their Afghan counterparts came under an attack that killed one American advisor and badly wounded four Afghan troops. The American death was reported on Saturday, but details of the alleged civilian casualties only surfaced Sunday. Wasifullah Wasifi, spokesperson for the governor of Kunar province, said the strike

The biggest political problem faced by so-called “liberals” and so-called “progressives” in President Obama’s second term is how to prevent voters from holding them politically responsible as the public comes to realize how badly they were lied to during the first Obama term to win passage of Obamacare. (Snip) Just wait until the broad realization dawns that the harsh reality of Obamacare is that tens of millions will lose their employer provided insurance because of the perverse incentives under the program. Gluten-free diets are all the rage, but they can be dangerous if not done right. What is gluten? It´s the spongy complex of proteins, found naturally in wheat, rye, and barley, that gives elasticity to dough and allows it to rise. When flour is moistened and either kneaded or mixed into dough, gluten molecules form an elastic, microscopic latticework that traps the carbon dioxide produced when yeast ferments, causing dough to inflate like a hot air balloon. Baking hardens the gluten, which helps the finished product keep its shape. Wheat — and gluten — is ubiquitous in the American diet.

The US defence department has delayed an intercontinental ballistic missile test that had been planned for next week at an air force base in California amid mounting tensions with North Korea, according to a senior official. Defence secretary Chuck Hagel reportedly decided to put off the long-planned Minuteman 3 test until next month because of concerns the launch could be misinterpreted and exacerbate the Korean crisis. "This is the logical, prudent and responsible course of action to take," the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity. The test was not connected to the ongoing annual

BOISE, Idaho — Authorities in eastern Idaho are investigating the shooting deaths of two men and a woman whose bodies were found in a home that contained a marijuana grow operation. The deaths took place sometime between Thursday afternoon and evening by someone who had some type of relationship with the victims, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office said. The bodies were discovered Friday outside Holbrook, a town of about 400 people just north of the Idaho-Utah state line. Authorities said a 2-month-old was found under the arm of one of the victims — 27-year-old Yavette Chivon Carter.

LOS ANGELES — The role of female talk show hosts in late-night TV network history, all 50-plus years of it, can be summed up in two words: Joan Rivers. It takes just another two — Arsenio Hall — to do the same for minorities. There´s no indication that´s going to change in the latest round of musical chairs involving "Tonight" and "Late Night." All the NBC, ABC and CBS showcase jobs at 11:30 p.m. Eastern and later appear likely to remain securely in white men´s hands. Jay Leno is handing off to Jimmy Fallon, with speculation

Audiences listen with rapt attention as she discusses the plight of women and girls in developing countries. Even a long-expected book deal announcement generates lots of chatter. NEW YORK -- In case Americans want to scarf down their fast-food even faster, KFC is stripping the bones out of its chicken. The fast-food chain says it´s introducing deep-fried boneless chicken pieces on April 14 as an alternative to its traditional breast, thigh and drumstick pieces. The new offering reflects the growing popularity of nuggets and strips that are easier to eat on the go, as well as Americans´ seemingly endless desire for more convenient foods. KFC says nearly four out of five servings of chicken sold in the U.S. are now boneless. Based on customer trends

In a blog post, the 70-year-old said he´ll take a "leave of presence." "I am not going away," the ailing Pulitzer Prize winner wrote in a note posted late Tuesday. "My intent is to continue to write selected reviews but to leave the rest to a talented team of writers. ... Michelle Obama has admitted that she is already tired of the bangs she first sported in January. The First Lady said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: ´Bangs are a day-by-day proposition. They´re starting to grow out, get a little irritating.´ Still, she hasn´t let her hairdo woes get her down. ´It´s okay,´ she said after her initial complaint. ´We´ll be good.´ The first indication that her hairstyle was becoming a burden came about last weekend, when Malia, 14, was spotted adjusting her mother´s hair during the White House Easter Egg Roll.

The report cited United Kingdom diplomats, saying Pyongyang was demanding the U.S. president personally call Kim Jong-un as one of the conditions to relieve the current conflict at hand. Recent research indicates that the number of people who do not consider themselves a part of an organized religion is steadily on the rise. Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church. This begs the question, “Why are we losing our religion?”

Los Angeles — Some people have had it with TV. They´ve had enough of the 100-plus channel universe. They don´t like timing their lives around network show schedules. They´re tired of $100-plus monthly bills. A growing number of them have stopped paying for cable and satellite TV service, and don´t even use an antenna to get free signals over the air. On Friday, Sean Hannity brought Pat Smith, mother of the late Sean Smith, on his radio program. The 34-year-old information management officer was one of four Americans murdered in the Benghazi embassy attack on September 11, 2012. In the chilling interview, a distraught Ms. Smith, in tears, pleaded for answers and spoke of the efforts to silence her. Ms. Smith first relayed how her son, prior to the attack, requested additional security in advance and warned the State Department: He did tell them, ahead of time, he typed it into his little typewriter over there,

Susan Patton, the Princeton alumna who became famous for her letter urging Ivy League women to use their college years to find a mate, has been denounced as a traitor to feminism, to coeducation, to the university ideal. But really she’s something much more interesting: a traitor to her class. Her betrayal consists of being gauche enough to acknowledge publicly a truth that everyone who’s come up through Ivy League culture knows intuitively —
