A Lesson for the Media
American Thinker, by Leo Rennert

The Senate Homeland Security Committee report on the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, which killed four people, including Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens, makes for painful reading. The committee´s findings, following a review of thousands of documents, shed new light on the utter confusion that prevailed at the highest levels of the administration in the days following the attack. Although U.S. intelligence almost immediately recognized the incident as a premeditated terrorist attack, administration officials, from President Obama on down, hedged and pretzled their comments to a fare-thee-well.

"At a minimum, a careful reading of the Lieberman-Collins report should prompt editors and reporters to permanently retire "militant" or "fighter" or "guerrilla" when TERRORISTS strike. But sadly, don´t count on it. PC has too firm a grip on media."
With the pressitutes cheering on the Won, for sure don´t count on anything he doesn´t want.

"Utter confusion" my jackass. Obama, Valerie Jarrett and the Axelrod team knew precisely what occurred and more importantly, how to spin this grievous failure so that Obama would not be held responsible. The blame the video smokescreen was concocted to shift focus away from Obama´s failure to protect the consulate, to respond to the 7 hour attack and to have to explain the failure of his Libyan intervention. In addition, the video blame game kept Obama from having to explain why there were 32 CIA agents at a Benghazi annex and why none of the 32 have yet to testify to Congress. Do these 32 all have the Hillary blood clot problem?

So, lesson in Benghazi is that Obama will issue & repeat any and all self-protecting lies. And, that our news media will work overtime not to see through the obvious lies in order to protect Obama.

Not too long ago, the majority of the US public would have been calling for heads to roll over an incident such as this. To be sure, a small segment is doing just that.

Today, however, it will take something more than demonstrable, catastrophic incompetency -- resulting in the avoidable deaths of Americans -- to make the average pop-culture citizen pay attention.

Disability and welfare checks not showing up on time might do it, but not this.

Stevens sent security requests straight to the WH afer being stonewalled for months by the state dept.Obama has willful ignorance on this of course.

The people that bungled this were acting under orders, that´s why they weren´t fired. All they would had to do is file a wrongful termination suit and it would have all spilled out.
Besides Obama just gave them a raise also.

What we need is a whistle blower to step up and give the real reason he was denied help. But who do you go to in a totally corrupt administration??

Timeline scattered and buried in report, Washington DC time:

3:40PM attack begins
4:32 Sec Def office informed
4:40 Stevens missing
50 Panetta, Obama, Dempsey in same room together in White House
50 President briefed
5:10 UAV arrives Benghazi; eyes open
60 Annex attacked with RPGs
60-80 Panetta discussions with DOD
71 First attacks on Annex end
7:15 Tripoli forces (TF) arrive Benghazi
7:15-10:15 TFs held at airport by Libyans
8:39 "GO" order transmitted to FAST team in Spain
114 TF arrive at Annex
11:14 Annex attacked using mortars, Woods and Doherty killed
11:26 Second attack ends
1:40AM Everybody out of Libya

Some questions:

Where was Obama and what was he doing from 50 pm until 14 am when it finally ended?
Where was Jarrett during this time, and was she in contact with Obama?
Does anyone else suspect the TF were held at the airport to set up the mortars for the second Annex attack?
What in the world were they doing at DOD for TWO hours, when they watched the attack real time during the first hour, and did nothing?
What was the “other location” the UAV was diverted from, and what do we think went on there while we no longer had eyes on it?
Why did it take until 8:49 for a GO order to be transmitted to the FAST team?
Why wasn’t a GO order issued at 5:11?
What happened to the FAST team? Are they still circling the airport?

I watched lieberman on c span, along with collins, and he had the audacity to say that there was no direct evidence that showed any involvement by hillary. But no one interviewed hillary. Nor did anyone on that special commission, created by Hillary, bother to interview hillary.
This is a joke. But no reporter will ask lieberman or collins why they didn´t interview hilllary.

TRENTON — Talk about an odd couple. Liberal media mogul Arianna Huffington is bringing GOP star Gov. Chris Christie to the White House Correspondents´ dinner later this month. The governor will feel at home with the Huffington Post founder´s other guests: New Jersey natives Jon Bon Jovi of Sayreville and Shaquille O´Neal of Newark, according to Women´s Wear Daily, which first reported the invites. Shaq recently visited Christie at the Statehouse in Trenton. Christie was one half of an unusual pairing last year, too, when he made headlines for sitting next to bombshell "Modern Family" actress Sofia Vegara.

I don´t mean in a Nazis vs Communists, Hitler vs Stalin, way. I mean in a moderate way: Conservative activists vs Labour activists, you might say. It´s difficult to imagine Conservative activists behaving like the people who celebrated Margaret Thatcher´s death in Glasgow and Brixton. That´s partly because it´s hard to think of any Left-wing leader who had as powerful an effect on the country as she did. But, still, between them, Harold Wilson and Jim Callaghan – with quite a lot of help from Edward Heath – led to a disastrous decline in British fortunes in the 1970s,

These mind-boggling images capture the scale of soaring apartment blocks in one of the world´s most densely populated areas; Hong Kong. As home to a population of more than seven million crammed into an area measuring just 424 square miles, space in Hong Kong is at a premium. It means that, when it comes to providing accommodation for Hong Kong´s huge population, the only way to go is up. The result is the soaring high-rise buildings captured to incredible effect by German photographer Michael Wolf in his project Architecture of Density.

The U.S. Postal Service on Wednesday said it will delay a cost-cutting plan to end Saturday mail delivery, following congressional action that blocked the effort. Congress passed a temporary federal spending bill last month including language that prevents the agency -- which lost $15.9 billion last year -- from going to a Monday-to-Friday mail delivery schedule. The agency, which wanted to begin the new schedule Aug. 5, said the decision was made Tuesday by its board of governors. “By including restrictive language in the Continuing Resolution, Congress has prohibited implementation of a new national delivery schedule,”

President Obama´s budget plan would increase taxes by $580 billion over the next decade, but it relies on many proposals that have been repeatedly rejected by Congress. Some were rejected as recently as January, when Congress voted to make permanent a series of tax cuts first enacted under President George W. Bush. Among them, a proposal to limit itemized deductions for high-income families. One new proposal is a 94 cents-a-pack increase in the cigarette tax. The tax would raise an estimated $78 billion over the next decade to pay for early childhood education.

In the message he issued along with his budget proposal on Wednesday morning, President Barack Obama said he wants to see 4-year-old children in the United States enrolled in public schools. Obama said America needs to start enrolling 4-year-olds to make sure the children are “better prepared for the demands of the global economy” and to help parents save on "child-care costs." After saying the United States needs to “equip our citizens with the skills and training” to fill jobs in manufacturing, energy and infrastructure, Obama said, “And that has to start at the earliest possible age.”

In January 2012, Ullman was unceremoniously removed from the board. Gone with Ullman was any control the Board of Directors had over Ron Johnson and his control of JCPenney resources.
