Clinton’s physicians expect ‘full recovery’
Washington Times, by Guy Taylor

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was being monitored closely at a New York hospital Monday night, although doctors said she was making “excellent progress” toward “a full recovery” from a blood clot inside her skull. Doctors discovered the clot Sunday during a routine MRI as part of a follow-up exam to a concussion Mrs. Clinton sustained in mid-December after dehydration from an acute stomach virus caused her to faint and hit her head. “The scan revealed that a right transverse sinus venous thrombosis had formed. This is a clot in the vein that is situated

Of course the docs expect a full recovery, the question is how long will it take to achieve a "full recovery"?

An MRI is not routine several weeks following a concussion. None of this sounds right.

Reason for trip to Iran? To ward off impending WW3 threat, as Iranian ships are trailing ours over there...

To the medical professionals who post here -if there was a clot in the location behind the ear, wouldn´t it be a relatively simple neurosurgical procedure to go in and remove the clot? Why mess with blood thinners??
And how could a clot form in a small vein in that location, but be limited to that small vein, if caused by the fall? Wouldn´t there be other tissue involvement??
Finally, we know the president travels with a physician. Does the Secretary of state do likewise?

the physician´s releasing the "medical facts" do NOT appear to be members of the hospital medical staff where Clinton is being treated. One appears to be a local physician from where she lives, and the other is from DC.

So what "facts" we have are not actually coming from the hospital, but most likely from spokespeople picked by the Clinton´s.....

As John noted below, President Obama spent an hour and a half on the telephone with Vladimir Putin discussing the Russian invasion of Ukraine. What was the conversation like? We can probably get a good sense of it by considering the account of President Bush’s conversations with Putin set forth by Peter Baker in his excellent book about the Bush presidency, Days of Fire. It’s well known that Bush and Putin got on well at first. But when the relationship soured, Bush became exasperated by his talks with the Russian bully. Putin seemed to delight in debating Bush. Russian President Vladimir Putin moved to officially deploy Russian troops in Ukraine Saturday, defying warnings not to intervene issued a day earlier by his U.S. and other western counterparts. Though a major escalation in the openness of Russia´s commitment, Saturday´s move comes as Russian troops and their local allies have already largely taken control of Crimea, a restive province of Ukraine that belonged to Russia until 1954 and remains predominantly pro-Russian. Heavily armed troops, many from Russia´s Black Sea Fleet, which is based in the Crimean port of Sevastopol, surrounded key facilities across the region

The goal of the president’s newest racially divisive effort, “My Brother’s Keeper,” is to set black and Latino male youth apart from white male youth. It centers on recruiting businesses and foundations to donate $200 million over five years towards programs that will benefit young males of color. Apparently, much like Barack Obama’s real brothers, needy boys with little or ‘no color,’ as well women and girls of any color, will have to tough it out on their own. In the Bible Cain responded to God’s question concerning the whereabouts of the brother he had just murdered with “Am I my brother’s keeper?”

I had missed the Sochi closing ceremonies last week so I watched them on tape. Well, not quite tape, but that’s what people my age and older call it. We’ll return to that in a moment. In the ceremonies, the Russian Olympic Committee representative called the games the greatest ever and said the world got to see “the New Face of Russia.” This week we learned the new face of Russia looks quite a bit like the old face of Russia – paranoid, belligerent and skillful in exploiting moments of American weakness. Back to the tape. There’s a whole generation now that doesn’t watch things on tape, and never did.

As Democratic officials rely more than ever on the big-money super PACs they once scorned, party strategists and donors are caught in sharp disagreements over how to use the newly influential independent organizations. SEVASTOPOL, Ukraine — Heightened Russian military activity in Crimea on Friday prompted a stern warning from President Obama and a deepening sense of crisis among the leaders of the new Ukrainian government in Kiev. U.S. officials said Russian troops had entered Crimea, and Obama told reporters Friday evening that he was “deeply concerned by reports of military movements” and that there “will be costs for any military intervention.” Earlier in the day, the new Ukrainian government said that hundreds of soldiers in green camouflage, without insignia but carrying military-style automatic rifles, had taken over two airports in Crimea. But it´s unclear whether those moves will have any impact on Russia´s calculus in Ukraine, which is at the center of what many see as a tug of war between East and West. There’s no evidence that Obama wants to get involved in what may become a war between the Ukraine and Russia.
