| The top science reporter for NBC News raised questions Monday about Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s hospitalization, raising the possibility the blood clot causing isn’t linked to an earlier concussion. “It’s not exactly clear what is happening with Secretary Clinton’s health,” NBC News chief science and health correspondent Robert Bazell said. “All we have is a statement from her office. The hospital isn’t saying anything and the statement from her [office] says that she had this blood clot that stemmed from the concussion and she’s being treated with blood-thinning drugs,” Bazell continued.

ANY physician or nurse knows this whole story is bogus. I suspect she had a syncopal episode - and it was a stroke. The stories aren´t hanging together. Bazell is right on about the use of anti-coagulant drugs. They would never be used in this case. It´s so wrong that we are being lied to in this manner.

If she had a stroke, she needs to retire. You cannot be in charge with a defective brain. Also, nobody has just one stroke. There are always more on the way.

The Clintons are such tiresome, wearying people. They give anyone interested in the truth a headache. One never knows what, if anything, to believe about them. They seem almost to have an innate aversion to telling the truth, even when there is no obvious reason to lie or cover up. Slick is the sort of person who can actually take satisfaction in deceiving others, who experiences a sense of power from putting something over on someone. What Hillary´s problem is, I cannot even guess - unless she is a dime store version of Lady Macbeth.
The Left as a whole has never enjoyed a particularly close or solid relationship with the truth. For the Left, the truth that matters is ideological Truth, which is not to be confused with simple facts or literal honesty in the conventional sense. Ideological truth trumps and supersedes mere facts for committed Leftists, just as it does for Islamists and fanatics of all stripes.
But about the blood clot... is it too much to ask, even of a Clinton, that we just get the facts? What is the purpose of the secrecy and obfuscation in this matter? Could it be just to stay in practice? For the pure joy of the thing?

It probably is a blood clot in her leg from being in bed with the concussion. That is not terribly unusual in older patients especially since she had one several years ago. Just heard a doc on XM saying this and her risk of it happening again is not uncommon. For that she would be prescribed anti-coagulants.

I was just about to say, the utter lack of interest, 3 weeks running, from Obama´s Court Eunuchs about Miss Hillary´s health would certainly seem to indicate that the Court Eunuchs were given orders from on high to ignore the "story" (whatever the heck is actually going on with her). I still think they are being told to stay away from it.

Man, she is so hard on eyes, and still no resume, no idea what the fascination is with her.

She needs to retire simply because she is not competent (and she is a closet communist). All the rest is irrelevant. #7...Lol. Anyway, it sounds like it is her stupid office that came up with the ridiculous story of the clot "stemming from" the concussion. So, if she does have a health issue, it is either a DVT or they are hiding a stroke (which would be a career killer). No President Shrillery!

My brother is a physician. His first comment to me was that ´old´ people tend not to get concussions because instead of experiencing the characteristic bruising, they are more apt to have tearing. Haven´t heard any of the so-called experts in the media discuss this simple fact. Not really a surprise, though.

A stroke would not disqualify Hillary on a 2016 run for the presidency. Joe Biden had TWO brain aneurysms, one on each side of the brain, in 1988. And perhaps the physician who posts here could confirm that such a condition may very well lead to organic brain disorder, some 24 years later. Joe Biden says peculiar things, at an accelerating rate, and his performance during the debate with Ryan was evidence of that. I suspect that Hillary, in dodging the congressional hearings early on after Behghazi, made the trips to peru and australia, to make herself unavailable. And the concussion story might have been an extension of that dodging. But she may very well have a separate problem with blood clots.

Doc on XM is stretching it too far by trying to connect a concussive head injury with a deep vein thrombosis in the leg. People suffering from a concussion do not spend a long time in bed immobile. Was she then in a coma for days? That would indicate something much more serious than a simple concussion.
It is always like pulling teeth to get the truth out of the Clintons, no matter what the circumstances may be. It almost seems to cause them pain to tell the truth about something, anything, regardless of what it may be.

I so want to believe them, but history tells a different story, it tells me that the Clintons take pride in their lying ability and the number of people they can fool.
It has HOAX written all over it, in one way of another.

I firmly believe Hillary is taking the same approach the rest of these Demo-rats take on issues that would condemn them; ignore it until it goes away, knowing the media will give them a pass and not hold them accountable... ever.
The problems is, it´s not going away as fast as they hoped so she´s having to come up with more illnesses and complications that will keep her from testifying.
I hope I´m wrong, but my bet is; when the clot is gone, it will be something else. Just watch!

A deep vein thrombosis (clot) could happen but it would be in her leg not her head. But those details don´t fit the narrative. Do we seriously think we´re going to see the media report Hillary Clinton really has a DVT clot. Because: - she´s obese (according to government BMI chart she is) - she doesn´t exercise (she seems to sit on her butt 24/7) - too much air travel (that would be bad PR for air travel and president zero hasn´t targeted that industry yet). Just sayin

The Clintons use language to mislead. You have to carefully parse every word, and understand that the least likely meaning of a word is the most probable.
Since they state she has a blood clot, we must assume in fact she had a blood clot, but the blood clot is NOT the primary problem. Therefore I would posit that DVT (deep venous thrombosis) is not the primary diagnosis. Certainly strokes (or transient ischemic attacks - mini-strokes) can be caused by tiny blood clots shedding from a ulcerated atherosclerotic plaque in the carotid artery. A stroke may be associated with weakness or loss of coordination of balance which could result in falling...This is my currently favored primary diagnosis (albeit with almost NO medical details actually available).

It´s amazing how incurious the media is about the health of the Secretary of State and a leading contender for the Democrat presidential nomination for 2016. They spent more time investigating Romney´s dog Seamus than they have this convoluted and bizarre story. The statements put out by the State Dept and the subsequent conclusions being drawn by the media-make..no..sense. But, when has that stopped them ? How is it that the Secretary of State was allowed to become so dehydrated that she fell into unconsciousness and hit her head ? Alone-without any security , family members or medical help ? That´s lousy medical care and Obamacare hasn´t officially kicked in, yet. The media is content with vague timelines and gauzy statements from the State Dept. The medical statement put out by two internists ( one from Mt Kisco Hospital and one from George Washington University ) on the night of Dec 15 said that Hillary had been evaluated " over the course of this week " implying that she had probably been hospitalized and undergone diagnostic tests. There is so little actual information being made public, that it does raise many questions. First of all-why the secrecy ? Did she have an angiogram ? Is there a neurosurgeon and neurologist treating her ? Was the original collapse and subsequent concussion caused by an intracranial event ? The secrecy , the disjointed medical information and the absence of media curiosity leave many questions unasked . And unanswered. Which is the media modus operandi when it comes to Democrats.

susan rice should be consulted to explain hillary´s condition and only racist doctor´s would disagree that it was the you tube video´s fault.
Hillary should make a miraculous recovery in a few more days, in order to resume her main duties promoting the muslim brotherhood and the clinton library.

that "loss of consciousness" episode was probably a TIA (transient ischemic attack or mini-stroke) which is very common in women of Hillary´s age. It is beyond amazing that none of the minions sought out medical help immediately. Or was there a house physician? has this happened before? there is more than the usual stench of something wicked this way comes.

She supposedly fainted due to dehydration due to the virus she´s picked up. If she was having nonstop diarrhea, she might very well have been dehydrated and fainted.
The typical head injury would then be a subduraal hematoma. I know this only because my late mother had one due to a similar fall when she was in her 70s. But they do not treat that with anticoagulants.
With all the flying she has been doing (much of it recently on very, very long trips to stay out of the clutches of the congressional committees who want to talk with her about Benghazi), she is more apt to have contracted a DVT in a leg. The administration of anticoagulants for that requires hospitalization.
Bazell may work for NBC, but his medical information is accurate in this case.

When was she first admitted to the hospital? I’d like to take a look at the admitting records. No doctor is going to diagnose a blood clot while making a house call. Also, a presser in this situation is usually conducted by a medical expert from the treatment team, not somebody who specializes in state dept. spinning. What’s up with that? My guess is it’s a stroke of some kind but she will not let them use that word because she wants to keep her options open for a run in 2016. In a Clinton’s mind, “concussion” is a synonym for a stroke and it sounds like something you can recover from 100 percent.
I’ve seen several local politicians sidelined by strokes during stressful situations. It happens.

P.S. I had deep vein thrombosis in my right thigh after my first C-section. I was hospitalized for (during a hurricane) 2 weeks & had to lay flat on my back with Heparin dripping in an IV to dissolve it. I was on Coumadin by mouth for months afterward. Never had a stroke. If I had, it most likely would have been a large clot that would´ve killed me.
If she has clots in her leg & one broke loose, I dare say her fainting spell would have been a serious stroke & much worse than what has been described. She may have feigned a faint & they accidentally discovered the clots after a thorough exam, or the whole thing might be a lie. I do not trust anything that comes out of a Clinton´s mouth. If their lips are moving, they´re lying.

More information on her history:
In 1998, Clinton suffered a large blood clot behind her right knee while campaigning on behalf of Charles Schumer’s New York Senate bid.
During her presidential run in 2007, Clinton said the previous clot was the most significant health scare she ever had. She also said she had stopped taking blood thinners at that point.

I´m thinking along the lines of #29´s post. Maybe I´m thinking too much like a conspiracy nut, but the whole thing reminds me of old Soviet Russia when their leaders would disappear from public view because they had a "cold" when all the time they were dead or dying & the public wasn´t told till the timing was right. Hillary is BO´s biggest threat on Benghazi & 2016. Wouldn´t put it past him to get his enemies out of the way, so he can get his true believers to agitate for a third (illegal) term!

It´s good to hear all the medical diagnosis but plays right into the hands of the DC commy enemy. It bogs down the disbelievers as they play toss-across with different medical hypothesis, keeps them off balance.
Don´t be surprised if there is absolutely nothing wrong with Hildebeast except the diplomatic flu Bolton mentioned. She learned from Bill´s mistakes not to get trapped into telling Congress lies and has NO intention of allowing it to happen to her.
The DC commies certainly have adopted the old Russian modus of abusing the medical system for political gain, yet taken it to a whole new level....so predictable. They certainly have no shame in the ink clouds they disperse and there´s no level to which they won´t stoop to keep her from testifying; watch and see.

Fox News just announced that it is a subdural hematoma. They didn´t use that term but described it exactly. A result of the blow to her head when she fell.
It can take several weeks for these to develop to a point where they cause symptoms. A senior relative fell and hit her head. A week or so later she had a seizure. It was diagnosed as being due to the pressure from a subdural hematoma. She eventually recovered without any lasting effects.

Fine line here. Must be too sick to testify, but not sick enough to be ruled out for President in 2016.
She had her concussion to protect her, but then the GOP senators said that they wouldn´t approve Mr Heinz for SoS. What now? Must come up with something more longer term than a concussion, but must be careful.
This takes some serious coordination and choreography. Actually very interesting to watch.

Either its the Betty Ford Center or she got drunk and fell down. Every time they photographed looking this year she was blitzed our had a drink in her hand. I´m sure Bill is at her bed side holding her hand and checking out the nurses. From the sketchy clues released by the various parties in this story, there is one medical condition that could fit. It is called dural sinus thrombosis. It is a clot formed in vein-like structures between the brain and skull. It would usually be treated with anti-coagulation or catheter directed attempts to break up the clot. Although the condition could be caused by a concussion, in this case I suspect it is related to severe dehydration, presuming Hilary´s loss of consciousness was caused by fluid loss from her gastroenteritis and not by acute alcoholic intoxication. Of course, this is still just speculation given the odd secrecy surrounding this case.

Arianna Huffington partied so hard in her rented Chelsea loft that it looked like a scene from Animal House after a rowdy frat party, according to a new lawsuit. When Huffington departed the 4,400 square foot, seven-story apartment at 227 W. 17th Street in January she´d caused $275,000 in damages ranging from "gouged, stained and otherwise damaged" walls, "scratched, punctured" wood floors, bloodied mattresses and broken appliances, the Manhattan Supreme Court suit charges. "Huffington was using the apartment for large parties and business functions in breach of the sublease and Huffington´s promises," court papers allege.

The Weekly Standard obtained a copy of the program for President Obama’s Easter service at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Washington, D.C., and reports a few “highlights” from Rev. Dr. Luis Leon’s sermon: We often want things to go back to the way things used to be, before “work got difficult and faith got confused, and life got more confusing,” but when we dwell on the “if only” of life we forget that “God addresses us in the now.” As Jesus told Mary not to hold on to the past, “You cannot go back.”

Although the term "useful idiots" was originally attributed to Vladimir Lenin, its origin is undetermined but it is very applicable to the naïve celebrities in Hollywood and the media now mourning the death of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. Much like the devotees of Fidel Castro and Che Guevara, these grieving individuals have made no effort to learn the truth about those they lionize. One has to feel some pity for the likes of the Sean Penns, Oliver Stones, Michael Moores, Danny Glovers, and idolaters who naively support malignant despots and causes believing them to be a force for good.

DETROIT — Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was convicted Monday of corruption charges, ensuring a return to prison for a man once among the nation’s youngest big-city leaders. Jurors convicted Kilpatrick of a raft of crimes, including a racketeering conspiracy charge that carries a maximum punishment of 20 years behind bars. He was portrayed during a five-month trial as an unscrupulous politician who took bribes, rigged contracts and lived far beyond his means while in office until fall 2008.

The sequester may have many across the country singing the blues, but for President Obama, it was all about Memphis Soul. Even with the threat of furloughs and government cuts sparked by the sequester, Obama took the time to enjoy a star-studded concert at the White House tonight. The White House celebration of Memphis Soul music in the East Room--which included special guest appearances by Queen Latifah and Justin Timberlake--is likely to rile Obama´s Republican foes. In the message he issued along with his budget proposal on Wednesday morning, President Barack Obama said he wants to see 4-year-old children in the United States enrolled in public schools. Obama said America needs to start enrolling 4-year-olds to make sure the children are “better prepared for the demands of the global economy” and to help parents save on "child-care costs." After saying the United States needs to “equip our citizens with the skills and training” to fill jobs in manufacturing, energy and infrastructure, Obama said, “And that has to start at the earliest possible age.”

Although the first votes on gun -control legislation have yet to be cast, by some measures the National Rifle Association has already won. Obama’s ambitious plans to ban assault weapons and limit magazine capacities are off the table, while the NRA suggested it could support the most likely outcome -- expanded background checks -- as recently as 1999. The NRA claims that the president’s efforts have triggered a fundraising surge and boosted its membership from 4 million to nearly 5 million.

Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius conceded Monday that implementing the Affordable Care Act has been more complicated and frustrating than the Obama administration expected, largely due to Republicans who have opposed the law´s state-based exchanges and Medicaid expansion. "The politics has been relentless and that continues," Sebelius said. "There was some hope that once the Supreme Court ruled in July, and then once an election occurred there would be a sense that, ´This is the law of the land, let´s get on board, let´s make this work.´"
