| In a legal argument formally presented in federal court in the case of Hobby Lobby v. Kathleen Sebelius, the Obama administration is claiming that the First Amendment—which expressly denies the government the authority to prohibit the “free exercise” of religion—nonetheless allows it to force Christians to directly violate their religious beliefs even on a matter that involves the life and death of innocent human beings. Because federal judges—including Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor—have refused to grant an injunction protecting the owners of Hobby Lobby

Comments: The boldness in the language is very disturbing. More and more, I am feeling very threatened by this administration´s intentions to quench my constitutional rights.

Why are we just sitting back and taking this? Why aren´t we fighting against all this with EVERYTHING we have? If WE don´t speak up and stop this, nobody else will.

Is the obama administration intentionally trying to start a revolution or civil war? (If they were, how would their actions be any different?)

#2 - it´s not that we are sitting back and taking it. It´s just that we have no idea WHAT to do and no apparent leadership or direction. Fight this? How? With EVERYTHING we have? What, exactly do we have? The TEA Party was a great start - but appears to have fizzled. Why? Because media belittled, lied about it, ridiculed and mau-maued it to death. It had no leader or leadership. The wind was sucked right out of our sails. It makes us more timid and the Obama machine knows it. We could fight if we could only figure out how to organize and push back stronger than the last go. Any idea how?

Every person who voted for Obama should be on their knees begging God´s forgiveness. Several years ago, my father said, "One day it´s going to cost you dearly to be a Christian." That day is here. The owners of Hobby Lobby, devout Christians, will likely lose their business at the hands of an incalcitrant government whose leader is bent on ridding this country of Christians and empowering Muslims. Make no mistake: Obama IS using every means at his disposal to destroy us and those who voted him back into office are directly responsible.

I agree, 5, and I personally have no use for anyone who tells me they voted for The Won. The either actually LIKE what he is doing, or they are so stupid or liberally deluded that they don´t understand. In either case, they are beyond hope.

#4, why not do a Chick Fil-A on Hobby Lobby? It won´t have the same visual effect (unless someone organizes it for, let´s say, a certain week (1/1 to 1/7?), but it will have a beneficial financial effect and HL is going to be spending a lot of money to fight the government. You can buy on line at hobbylobby.com too.
A slogan writes itself: Lobby for Hobby Lobby!
Perhaps someone who has a connection at Chick Fil-A could persuade them to come out and support Hobby Lobby too.

#5, those that voted for BO don´t have a clue to this day what is going on. My Dem friends never read a paper, never look at the news. They watch reality shows and play computer games. One of my friends didn´t know there had been a big storm and asked what Bengazi was---after I mentioned it. This is a wonderful person, never misses a mass at her church but thinks abortion is ok if BO says it is. I gotta make new friends.

That is the kind of activity I like #8. I don´t believe though that the TP is through though. Conservatives believe in the old adages of ´bide your time´ and ´keeping your powder dry´. I suspect 2014 will blow the lid off the dems.

It´s coming more into focus. When Hussein uttered his infamous "you didn´t build that..." remark, he was making it clear that the permission to operate a business on US soil is a privilege only the Feds can grant, under their rules, and to their "friends". All others need not apply.

Since Islam is not only a religion but an entire worldview where the religion infuses everything in the life of the Muslim, why are not worldview Christians permitted the same latitude?
A person’s Christianity, the administration argues, cannot be carried out through activities he engages in through an incorporated business.
That is simply not true. A committed Christian will happily carry the tenets of his faith into every facet of life, including his business. One problem, though, is that too few Christians take a worldview perspective on their faith. It so happens that the CEO of Hobby Lobby does and this is only right and proper.
Jesus really didn´t leave any opt out clauses for the Christian. While he did tell His followers to render to Caesar what is Caesar´s, He also made it quite clear, throughout the OT and the NT that God´s law, not man´s, takes precedence. By asking the Greens to abandon this principle, the gov´t is asking them to sell their souls.
Would he ask the same of Muslims?

When you nominate another east coast elitist and sneer at bitter clingers, this is the consequence. En route to the nomination, our beloved nominee and his surrogates made people of faith and churchgoers to be weirdos, not to be taken seriously. And here ya go....

There is really no way to "fight" the government. Certainly armed insurrection will never work, as it did in 1776. In the Revolution, the people had muskets and the government had muskets. Now "we the people" have hunting rifles, and the government has all the tools and weapons of the modern military. I wish someone would come up with a way to throw a wrench into the gears of the government machinery, causing it to grind to a halt. How do you do it??

Consider the crystal clear referendum Americans were given in this election. Vote for the most "immoral" candidate in history. Or vote for the most "moral" candidate in history. How do you miss that parable? America chose immorality. They booed God. They laughed drunkenly and said "America does not belong to you anymore -- it belongs to us." To "Us". That is what happened on November 6. What has not happened is how God will rule in this matter.

#1 Muslims are exempted because as Orwell says ´some animals are MORE equal to other animals´. {Animal Farm, part 1}
Not just re. this Mandate, but ´religious´ dress; Christmas observance ans Nativity Scenes; organizations on campus; employment practice; ´diversity´ and affirmative action; AND legal, military and prison rights.
Furthermore Christian and Jewish religious observance is thus ´unequal´ BEFORE the LAW and believers deprecated.

Both times, Zippy represented charismatic leadership to his low-end voters enamoured by what he could give them. His rule is now a dictatorship with no apparent end in sight.
To save our nation, we need the same thing! A leader who will give direction--including mounting a nonstop take-to-the-street campaign labeling Obama a Hitleresque dictator who requires removal by impeachment.
Let the Magic Negro fight back again those charges until 2016. Keep him too busy to allow him to complete his heinous plans.

The Obama administration is insisting that the "free to exercise" of religion clause only only covers freedom to worship, and only while actually present in the confines of the church. Outside church, the state is the supreme god and everyone´s conscience is subject to it!!!!

#4, I am thinking along the lines of everybody getting on the phone and writing letters to our reps and senators. We need to bombard them on ALL of these unconstitutional issues. But we don´t do anything anymore. We all just sit back and expect someone else to take the lead. Well, I am writing and will be calling too. Even if I need to leave messages. We are not doing our job and holding our reps responsible. THAT is what we should ALL be doing.

The murder trial of abortionist Kermit Gosnell largely is being ignored by the mainstream media, even in the face of grisly testimony, such as what we heard yesterday. Life News reports: ...a former employee described how she heard a baby scream during a live-birth abortion. Abortion clinic employee Sherry West described an incident which "really freaked (her) out" and related to the jury how she heard a child who was born alive following an abortion scream.

West Virginia Democratic Sen. Jay Rockefeller, one of the towering architects of Obamacare, on Tuesday openly criticized program managers for not moving quickly enough to build the system, warning that if it gets off to a bumpy start it will just get worse. Decrying the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act as way too complex, he warned the acting Medicare director that Obamacare is "so complicated and if it isn´t done right the first time, it will just simply get worse."

The sequester may have many across the country singing the blues, but for President Obama, it was all about Memphis Soul. Even with the threat of furloughs and government cuts sparked by the sequester, Obama took the time to enjoy a star-studded concert at the White House tonight. The White House celebration of Memphis Soul music in the East Room--which included special guest appearances by Queen Latifah and Justin Timberlake--is likely to rile Obama´s Republican foes. Some conservatives have called on Obama to give up golf, especially since popular public tours of the White House have been canceled because of

In the message he issued along with his budget proposal on Wednesday morning, President Barack Obama said he wants to see 4-year-old children in the United States enrolled in public schools. Obama said America needs to start enrolling 4-year-olds to make sure the children are “better prepared for the demands of the global economy” and to help parents save on "child-care costs." After saying the United States needs to “equip our citizens with the skills and training” to fill jobs in manufacturing, energy and infrastructure, Obama said, “And that has to start at the earliest possible age.”

Although the first votes on gun -control legislation have yet to be cast, by some measures the National Rifle Association has already won. Obama’s ambitious plans to ban assault weapons and limit magazine capacities are off the table, while the NRA suggested it could support the most likely outcome -- expanded background checks -- as recently as 1999. The NRA claims that the president’s efforts have triggered a fundraising surge and boosted its membership from 4 million to nearly 5 million.

Neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson stepped down Wednesday as commencement speaker at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine after complaints from students about controversial comments concerning same-sex marriage. The withdrawal came less than a week after medical school Dean Paul B. Rothman chastised Carson for his comments and met with graduating students concerned that the famed physician was an inappropriate commencement speaker.

Within the next few decades, carbon emissions could cause global temperatures to rise between 4 and 11 degrees Fahrenheit, melting ice caps and causing sea levels to rise. The price of crops like coffee and chocolate will skyrocket, and countless cuddly animals around the globe could be wiped out. And yet, a lot of people find it hard to really care about climate change. But don´t be fooled: Climate change will affect you. Here´s a brief sampling of ways that warmer temperatures will suck the fun out of your life: 1. Your flights will be more turbulent

Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius conceded Monday that implementing the Affordable Care Act has been more complicated and frustrating than the Obama administration expected, largely due to Republicans who have opposed the law´s state-based exchanges and Medicaid expansion. "The politics has been relentless and that continues," Sebelius said. "There was some hope that once the Supreme Court ruled in July, and then once an election occurred there would be a sense that, ´This is the law of the land, let´s get on board, let´s make this work.´"

Liberals descended on Pennsylvania Avenue Tuesday to protest President Barack Obama´s decision to include entitlement cuts in his upcoming budget, delivering 2 million petitions demanding the White House back off its support for the chained CPI. As we reported this weekend, liberals have been seething over the inclusion of the chained CPI in Obama´s budget, which they see as a huge betrayal by the Democratic president. This week, progressive groups, including MoveOn, the Progressive Change Campaign Committee, and Democracy for America, have mounted "emergency" online campaigns against the proposal, accusing Obama of

In a stunning end to one of the most aggressively unsuccessful tenures in retail history, JCPenney (JCP) last night announced that CEO Ron Johnson would be leaving effective immediately. Myron Ullman, Johnson´s predecessor at JCPenney, takes office as CEO. When Johnson was initially wooed by JCPenney, it was to serve as CEO with Ullman as Chairman. In January 2012, Ullman was unceremoniously removed from the board. Gone with Ullman was any control the Board of Directors had over Ron Johnson and his control of JCPenney resources.
