If you know nothing about guns and have no interest in them don´t try to tell me anything you think about them. Guns are no more dangerous than a thousand other things around us.

Several days ago, some nutcase woman pushed a man to his death in the subway. Ban all subways.

Another interesting article (with only one particularly obvious, glaring error) -- I´d have happily posted it to my Facebook page, but for the utterly ignorant comments that follow.

Sometimes I think we on Lucianne have been spoiled -- we have come to expect the intelligent discussion that is a rarity elsewhere.

If you impose gun restrictions on those rational enough to understand and obey them, that leaves guns in the hands of the irrational.

So are knives, chains, tools, cars, bicycles, streets, politicians...the list of dangerous things is endless...so what else is new?

It´s not about guns. It´s about control.
If a government is the only entity with firepower, the populace is at it´s mercy.

Extremely simple, isn´t it?

Interesting scenario:
Assume a large carpenter is doing some work near a kindergarten class. Assume he is insane. Also assume he also has a big hammer and a utility knife.
He can go into the class, kill the teacher and lock the door. He can then kill each child at his leisure, before anyone can get past the locked door.

Now assume the teacher has a loaded GLOCK...
