Sean Penn, sliced and diced
American Thinker, by Thomas Lifson

Original Article

One of the most ridiculous public figures of our age, Sean Penn, should have great utility for conservatives. He exemplifies the incoherence of the Hollywood Left, and doesn´t know when to keep his mouth shut. Even better, he thinks that he can write - that his stream of consciousness, when transcribed, makes sense, and is even persuasive.(snip)The Alynskyite Left has long used the careless words of conservatives they wish to demonize as an effective tool in creating a negative brand identity for their opponents

Poor, poor Sean Penn. Struggling with mere stunned cow doofus-looking silliness in his youth, he has morphed into real, world class butt-ugliness on par with Whoopi Kushion´s.

I wonder if it is just genetics, or is evil communism seeping out through his pores?

I suppose we owe US Chamber of Commerce CEO Tom Donohue thanks for his candor on immigration. (snip) "Immigration can also address labor shortages in lesser-skilled fields where there are insufficient numbers of either qualified or willing U.S. workers to fill positions." Let´s unpack that statement. What kinds of qualifications are necessary for low- or unskilled positions? In fact, a willingness to work -- to show up on time, apply oneself with reasonable diligence and learn through experience -- is the sole qualification for such positions. Although Donohue does not say so, the sad fact is that many, many Americans who are

There is a stark question that remains largely unspoken, as Hillary Clinton dominates polling and super-PAC fundraising, as the all-but-decided Democrat candidate for the 2016 presidential race. What if she doesn´t run? (snip)Queue the laugh track as Joe Biden surges to front-runner status? The polite way of expressing the problem is that he is "gaffe-prone." The more honest expression would be that he "isn´t up to the job." Still blunter would be words like "idiot" and "bozo."

Here is another "red line" for the president. After endless and lawless tweaking and rewriting the Affordable Care Act aka ObamaCare, there now can be a definitive declaration of a group being harmed. Employers with 50 to 99 employees have been given yet another one of these fiat waivers from Obama. And the employers with over 100 employees can now cry foul, and even a Democrat might see the inconsistencies and injustices of the recent waiver. Employers with over 100 employees -- say 110 -- are still bound to obey and incur fines, no taxes, (or is a penalty?). They are being placed

It turns out that you can bring produce sections to poor neighborhoods, but you can´t get poor people to eat healthier food. This comes as a shock to liberals who believe in the comprehensive theory of victimology -- that all problems afflicting people who fall into ethnic, sexual, or other identities regarded as victims are due to external factors, not to their own choices. (snip)The deranged premise behind the entire "food desert" theory was that crass corporations were bypassing the opportunity to sell healthy foods to poor people out of malice, or at best ignorance. ObamaCare is going to affect, in a negative way, almost every person in America -- and 2014 through 2016 is when the hammer drops -- on all our heads. Therein, you have the turning of the worm. President Obama has broken many promises. One that he has not broken is his boast that he would "fundamentally transform America." He and his fellow Democrats are on the verge of doing just that by turning us into a nation of loafers. A loafer is an idle person who lives off others. Barack Obama seemingly has no problem with such people. He might even relate to them. He does have a serious problem with his own work ethic, and finds work boring. Broadrrick, a former Arkansas nursing home worker, accused President Clinton of raping her during the late 1970s in a 1998 Dateline interview. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius was in direct contact with President Barack Obama at least 18 times between October 2012 and October 2013, including seven occasions where her draft calendar showed Obamacare as the topic of conversation. The news appears to contradict her insistence that Obama was in the dark about problems plaguing the ill-fated healthcare.gov website in the months leading up to its October 1, 2013 launch. The Hill newspaper reported Thursday that documents released through a Freedom of Information Act request show meetings, events and phone calls where the two were together. They also show at

At least every week now, there is a new story supporting the narrative of an inevitable 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential bid. Indeed, the conventional wisdom is that it is an absolute certainty that she will run. If anyone is currently saying, flat out, that Hillary isn´t running, I haven´t come across them. Is the inevitability of her run really as certain as the conventional wisdom suggests, and further, is it unfolding in an optimal manner for the potential candidate? Less than 24 hours after President Obama illegally rewrote the law he had previously jammed down Boehner´s -- and the country´s -- throat, Boehner handed the budding dictator a clean debt-ceiling hike. Last October, Obama vindictively shut down the federal government upon his having refused to delay ObamaCare, which of course is exactly what he himself lawlessly did on February 10, 2014! The school of literary criticism known as reception theory holds that a text should be studied in light of its effect on its contemporaries, that a reader should be aware of the “horizon of expectations” in which a text is produced. I was reminded of this the other day as I observed, in amusement, fascination, and occasional pity, the reaction of the so-called mainstream media to Alana Goodman’s lengthy and rock-solid report on “The Hillary Papers.” This trove of previously unexamined transcriptions of conversations between Hillary Clinton and her best friend Diane Blair had been collecting dust at the University

Is demonic possession real or the manifestation of mental illness? In assisting priests in nearly 100 exorcisms, Adam Blai has become a true believer in good and evil, God and the devil. Former Allegheny County commissioner Bob Cranmer says he shares that same knowledge. He says his home was possessed. “I’ve seen it; I’ve seen crucifixes bent in half repeatedly. The other is Saeed Abedini, a prisoner of Iran. Each has been sentenced to long prison terms for “crimes” that only a criminal regime would deem criminal: Bae for ministering to Christians and Abedini for work on behalf of house churches. Alas, the week since Obama’s call confirms a depressing fact about America’s diminished standing in the world these days. Pyongyang packed Bae off to one of its labor camps in the vast
