Obama Gives Raise to Biden,
Congress as Fiscal Cliff Looms

Breitbart Big Government, by Warner Todd Huston

Imagine you are working for a company that is going bankrupt, but everyone you work with and your bosses are getting pay raises. Seem absurd? Not if you work for the failing federal government, because President Obama has decreed that Vice President Biden, members of Congress, and most federal workers are getting raises for 2013. As the U.S. government is losing its luster on the bond market and as the fiscal cliff looms, President Obama issued an executive order to give everyone raises. Obama has generously bestowed a $6,379 per year raise on Grampa Joe;

Out of his own pocket I hope - that seems to be a very high handed sort of "look at me, I´m Mr.Wonderful" gesture without asking our approval - because we all know in reality where this pay raise will come from, and I for one think all involved should have their pay slashed for putting us all in such jeopardy.

This pay increase is, of course, necessary to cover any higher costs the federal worker(s) may have to pay as a result of any new rules, regulations or taxes coming their way due to, among the following, but not limited to, Obamacare - of which they are not subject to, but must still pay higher deductibles, necessarily skyrocketing energy prices and/or basic increases in the standard cost(s)of living. State, county and city municipalities may follow suit if they can sneak increases into their budgets without the private work force noticing.

As you may have guessed, govn workers have no economic cycle. When times are good, they wish to partake in the increased private sector largesse through tax increases. When times are bad, govn wishes to not feel your pain and tax increases are necessary to stave off any possible lowering of their standard of living.

Have a Happy New Year.

Let´s call it what it is: Bribery, treason, taxation without representation (if this is taxpayer money, he allotted it without it going through our elected officials), Lets call them all what they are: Criminals waiting arrest and judgement by their citizen peers.

The need for the Second Amendment as a curb on tyrannical government was never more clear - and I am thinking we will have to put it to use very soon.

It is terrifying that America has come to this.

I have the horrendous feeling/belief that the damage BO and his cronies will cause this country in the next four years will be undoable in decades to come.

The essemtial foundations of our US Constitution have been completely ignored by this administration, Congress and the Supreme Court.

It will take, if possible, leaders of tremendous resilience and strength to remotely overturn the oppressive regulations the current dictator has foisted on the American people.

I fear for my future and all Americans. The last four years was a dress rehearsal for the devastating production to occur.

BO has carte blanche to destroy our nation, and he has revealed it by erasing our military and economic domination in the face of horrific and diabolical enemies who will delight in our demise.

Welcome to the 9th world. Under BO´s belief...some pigs are more equal than others.

I´m still waiting for the republicans to start a petition against insane Hussain to have him impeached, highlighting his multi-page list of high crimes and misdemeanors against this nation, the security team on the way to arrest him. They put us off the past two years by contracting a salary study by consultants, and now the study is done. The results... they gave themselves a 10 percent pay raise! We are still waiting. The next two years as someone said are going to be hell. But, just imagine the Republicans (as lame as they are) losing the House in 2014. WASHINGTON- Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel says he wants U.S. military law changed so senior commanders can´t overturn courts-martial verdicts in major crimes such as rape. Hagel said the Pentagon´s top lawyers would prepare legislation for Congress that would strip commanders´ power to toss out convictions, "except for certain minor offenses that would not ordinarily warrant trial by court-martial." Convicted defendants still would be able to appeal their cases. But in a move berated by advocacy groups for military sexual-assault victims, Hagel also said he would recommend commanders retain the power to alter courts-martial sentences,

If presidential politics ever involved time travel, President Obama might be in a little trouble. If an election between Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama were held today, 58% would vote for Reagan over Obama, according to a survey of 1,000 Americans age 18 and older conducted by Kelton Research for the National Geographic Channel. Though when the field is narrowed to people ages 18-34 -- those either too young to have known Reagan as president or too young to remember much -- the gap shrinks to 51% in favor of Reagan.

The consultants were opposition researchers, hired by the campaign to ferret out damaging information about actress Ashley Judd, who at one point considered running against McConnell.

Efforts by Senate Democrats to reach compromise with Republicans over expanding required federal background checks have yet to yield an agreement, and conservatives were promising to try

Beginning a week of high pressure on gun control, the White House on Monday accused some Republican senators of cowardice for planning to filibuster gun legislation without allowing the full Senate to vote on President Obama’s initiatives. “If they oppose this legislation, have the courage to say so on the floor and vote no,” said White House press secretary Jay Carney. “Don’t block it. Don’t hide behind a procedural action to prevent a vote. That’s the wrong thing to do, and that’s how the president clearly feels.”

Chelsea Clinton has raised her profile in the last few days, which sparked the inevitable question about the former first daughter´s future: Will she ever be like Mom and Dad and run for office? Clinton, 33, essentially said "maybe" in an interview that aired Monday on NBC´s Today show. "Right now I´m grateful to live in a city, a state and a country where I strongly support my mayor, my governor, my president and my senators and my representative," said Clinton, whose father, Bill, was president from 1993-2001 and her mother, Hillary

More than 700 Special Operations veterans are urging members of Congress to back a select committee to investigate last year’s Benghazi terrorist attack, according to a letter first obtained by Fox News. The letter from the group, “Special Operations Speaks,” supports the appointment of a special committee tasked with the single mission of investigating the attack that left Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans dead, and shut down the CIA operation in an annex of the Benghazi consulate, in the Sept. 11, 2012 attack. “Congress must show some leadership and provide answers to the public

President Barack Obama is bringing 11 relatives of those killed in the shooting at Connecticut´s Sandy Hook Elementary School to Washington on Air Force One on Monday so they can personally encourage senators to back gun legislation that faces tough opposition. A nonprofit organization that works with the families, Sandy Hook Promise, said that after Obama´s speech on gun control in Hartford, he is flying with relatives of seven children and one staffer killed during December´s massacre at the school. There was growing buzz over the weekend that a bipartisan agreement on gun control — a deal that would expand background checks — could hit the floor as early as this week. However, any deal could be derailed by the looming threat of a Republican filibuster involving Texas Sen. Ted Cruz. With Cruz standing proudly in the way of any gun legislation, Democrats are trying to make him pay a political price — and even a couple of high-profile Republicans are questioning his tactics.

Amid all of the very real threats of war and stuff from North Korea, you´d think American intelligence officers want as much video footage of the enemy as possible. Well, here is one video featuring North Korean exercises and Kim Jong-Un holding a gun, and we´ll say this: they certainly get points for presentation. Remember the clap-happy report from Dennis Rodman´s diplomatic basketball vacation? This video comes courtesy of the same Youtube channel that gave us that Rodman video. The case of a same-sex Connecticut couple accused of repeatedly raping and abusing two of their nine adopted boys is headed for trial. Married couple George Harasz and Douglas Wirth of Glastonbury were supposed to be sentenced Friday in Hartford Superior Court under a plea deal, but instead withdrew from their agreement with prosecutors. The men had already pleaded no contest in January to one felony count each of risk of injury to a minor — a reduction from even more serious charges related to sexual assault....
