| Indianapolis - Should the IRS be giving billions of dollars in tax credits to illegal immigrants? Many lawmakers say "no" after seeing an Eyewitness News investigation exposing massive fraud involving undocumented workers and child tax credits. Now some illegal immigrants are speaking out to explain why the tax credits are so important, and why Congress should not eliminate them.Salvador Presteguin is a plumber who works long hours. "Seven days a week, 10 to 12 hours a day," he told Eyewitness News while installing new pipes under a kitchen sink. When Salvador gets home,

Comments: Once the concept of ´outlaw´ is established in this discussion, it should be easier to explain to this man why he is so very wrong.

The man says he is not here legally, but he pays his taxes "like every other citizen."
Sir, you are not a citizen, nor are you a legal resident alien. You have no right to demand anything.

No does he pay taxes like every other citizen, maybe sales tax, but not income taxes.
That we are even having this discussion is disgusting!!! Try going to Mexico illegally, working and putting your hand out for every type of benefit for you and your children!!! I dare say he´s getting help with rent, food stamps, free lunch for his children all the years they were in school, medicaid and Christmas gifts for their children each year!

Meanwhile the country is going bankrupt but the illegals just keep on coming and demanding handouts. Where else in the world could this happen? Are we all such suckers that we´ll commit suicide to please illegals?

Perhaps it´s lost on reporter Bob but much of the problem is the money illegals claim for dubious children living OUTSIDE this country. So, his focus on illegal with CITIZEN children there in Indy is a tad off the mark. But more - beware the sob stories and the Simple Solution as put forth in this article by none other than a Repub lawmaker calling for issuance of SS numbers to solve the problem. NO, no no! This is how they would slip in the "Totalization Agreement", a procedure that would open up every Mexican who ever snuck in to work a day in this country to every SocSec benefit we have. Go ahead, google the term. We have that agreement with many other countries, but with those, their citizens are few, and they have come into this country through legal means, and we have had proper records. This would NOT be the case with Mexico and her citizens. You think SocSec is draining fast now - whooee, wait ´til we take on those extra tens of millions and their attending aging families. And as with current unchecked standards, all any Mexican would have to do is say - "Yeah, I worked, but I don´t have any paperwork. Trust me." Man, we are so screwed.

Giving Mexicans, illegal or not, special goodies of any kind by poliicians will backfire just as surely as it has with black Americans. No good will come out of it cuz it´s wrong. I don´t care how hard you may work either. Nobody else gets to break laws because they are "hard workers." Tax credits for illegals - are we nuts?

Salvador is a plumber who works long hours and therefore feels he is `qualified` to receive tax benefits - as opposed to legal American plumbers who work long hours and don`t get the tax credits.

When did they change the meaning of ´illegal´ to handout ?
Americans are told they will pay more taxes next year and they are already hurting. So are we paying more taxes for the likes of Salvador and foreign aid ?
We need to fire all elected officials. They don´t represent US or the Constitution.

What they are essentially talking about is an entity of the US Government, the IRS, giving illegal aliens thousands of dollars each for children they may or may not have who are listed on income tax returns filed by illegal aliens. They say that by filing income tax returns, it shows that illegal aliens are people who pay their taxes, but that is not so, because the only reason that the illegal aliens file those income tax returns is so that they can get an income tax refund along with a number of different tax credits, like the EITC and child tax credits that may amount to five of six thousand dollars for each return they file. When you get to the bottom line on all those tax returns filed by illegal aliens, they never have a tax liability where they have to actually pay money to the IRS, but always will receive money from the IRS.
The enforcement of the immigration laws has become a joke. When fraud like all these billions of dollars being doled out to illegal aliens is uncovered and publicized, the response from the people who continuously advocate for illegal aliens, and actually make their livings doing that, will trot out an illegal alien family, claim they work 10 or 12 hours a day and show them in a photograph at a table studying, facets of life that a hundred million Mexicans in Mexico do routinely, the only real difference being that this particular Mexican family is not legally entitled to be here, hold down American jobs, and receive thousands of dollars from the US Government each year.

WTHR and it´s incompetent reporter, Bob Segall, intentionally chose a "grey area" example...i.e. a man whose children were born here and live in his home. They made a passing reference...the photo of a tax form with children listed as "niece" and "nephew" who may (probably) not live in the US.
Like good propagandists everywhere, they sculpt the story to elicit an emotional response.
Oh, the poor, hardworking honest man losing a legitimate tax credit he deserves for his citizen children.
Nevermind the bulk of criminal alien invaders are lying to claim dozens of imaginary children, who if they exist are living in another country.

When I go to a foreign country, I pay their taxes, whether Sales, or VATT, but I´m not considered a "citizen". When we cheapen and/or redefine the term "Citizen" anything goes. Liberals today define "Citizen" as: 1) Is here, 2) Is breathing, 3) Was given a Driver´s License, 4) Pays Sales Tax, 5) Votes Democrat.

Indianapolis - Students at a local school had access to ISTEP questions before taking the official exam, the Call 6 Investigators have learned. THE MTI School of Knowledge boasts on its website that its students have won multiple scholarships, and when it comes to standardized exams ´´the school does not teach to the test.´´ But sources tell the Call 6 Investigators that fourth graders were given access to questions on the math and science ISTEP before taking the actual exam. Sources said the school received the questions from the actual test and created practice sheets for students to study.

The Indiana Supreme Court has upheld the nation´s broadest school voucher program, clearing the way for its expansion. Critics had argued that the program primarily benefited religious institutions that run private schools. But the program´s supporters say parents can send their children to any school they want, whether it´s public or private, religious or not, and the Supreme Court agreed with that Tuesday. In a 5-0 decision, the justices said the program does not violate the state constitution.

On his Friday show, syndicated talk show host Mark Levin said that a Republican congressman is attempting to persuade one of his affiliates to remove his show from the airwaves. Although Levin would not offer the congressman’s name on air, he has been a vocal critic of various members of the House Republican leadership in the past. But Levin called the situation “fascism.” “Well, it has come to my attention that there is a Republican congressman out there who doesn’t like what I’ve been saying,” Levin said. “It has come to my attention that there is a

Pro golfers, golf writers, and TV commentators are up in arms that Tiger Woods was only given a 2-stroke penalty for his illegal drop on the 15th hole yesterday. Tiger said last night that he dropped his ball two yards behind his previous spot, clearly violating the rule that you must drop "as nearly as possible" to your original spot. Golf people are not happy about it. They say that the new rule is B.S. (or it´s at least being misinterpreted), and Tiger should DQ himself to save the integrity of the game.

Few Americans can not answer this question: who is the worst domestic mass murderer in United States’ history? Due to the United States media, most are aware that Timothy McVeigh slaughtered 168 people with a bomb in 1995. Most Americans also know the names of our three most monstrous serial killers: “The Green River Killer” Gary Ridgeway, Ted Bundy, John Wayne Gacy. The U.S. media is again responsible for the general awareness of these men; these stories deserved — and received — national attention due to our common interest in personal safety, the rule of law

Here is something I don’t understand: liberals are often revealed as vile, vulgar hatemongers–not all of them, of course, but far too many–yet they never seem to pay a penalty at the polls. Why is that? Margaret Thatcher’s death has been the latest occasion for the Left to show its true stripes. All across the U.K., there have been demonstrations–vulgar at best, and violent at worst. In Bristol, lefties celebrating a Thatcher “death street party” started fires, destroyed property and battled police: This evening in Trafalgar Square, liberals have turned out for a long-planned celebration of Thatcher’s death:

Newtown killer Adam Lanza’s mother considered suing Sandy Hook Elementary School after teachers turned a blind eye to beatings from his classmates, a family member claims. The relative, speaking to the Daily News, claimed that mass murderer Lanza was taunted and attacked by fellow students at his childhood alma mater. “Nancy felt fiercely protective of him,” the relative said. “She was convinced the school wasn’t doing enough to protect Adam. It made her irate.” Nancy Lanza — gunned down by her 20-year-son to start his Dec. 14 rampage — even tagged along with Adam to school

The impending introduction of legislation to overhaul the country’s badly strained immigration system received an extraordinary endorsement on Sunday from Senator Marco Rubio, Republican of Florida, who, after holding back for weeks, appeared on no fewer than seven television talk shows to explain and defend a plan that he said would be “a net positive for the country, now and in the future.” It was a striking show of confidence from Mr. Rubio, one of eight members of a bipartisan Senate group that has been crafting a plan to provide a path to legal status for undocumented immigrants;

TALLAHASSEE - Picture this: You´re in the left lane of the interstate, driving a little below the speed limit, when some guy zips up behind you and swerves past you on the right. Then you notice the blue lights flashing. You´re savoring the satisfaction of seeing a trooper actually nab an aggressive driver — until you realize it´s you he´s pulling over. This could happen, if not very often, under a major transportation package expected to be taken up in the Senate Appropriations Committee next week. Introduced by Sen. Jeff Brandes, a St. Petersburg Republican, the bill is a 173-page

President Obama and I were college classmate at Columbia University, class of ’83. I know all too well how mindlessly liberal the students and faculty of that institution can be, and Barack Obama is certainly no exception. My time at Columbia made it crystal clear: liberals always believe they are morally superior. [Snip] It is in this cesspool of intolerance that Obama and his Marxist cronies hatched a secret plan to destroy our country. There are two things you need to know about Obama at Columbia University. First, he was Pre Law and a Political Science major- just like me.
