Michelle Obama has a
very neon Christmas with
highlighter yellow pedicure
in Hawaii

If Michelle Obama´s greige nail polish she wore during her Democratic National Convention speech was enough to spark discussion from Pulitzer prize-winning authors, then her Christmas Day polish is sure to cause fireworks. The First Lady, visiting a military base in Hawaii with President Barack Obama, celebrated December 25th in summery style, wearing a sleeveless cotton dress, sandals and a neon yellow pedicure. While she kept her hands bare, the pop of yellow on her toes was a simple way to liven up and add some colour to her black and white ensemble.

Has anyone told her she is not 14 years old any longer?

It would almost be worth giving up the internet (I don´t watch TV) just to be assured that I won´t suddenly see this woman. I don´t think I can take it much more.

I am sure the Marines were thrilled to see her size 14 feet bare and glowing neon yellow. And thrifty her, dragging out the ugly $995 sandals she wore ONCE before. With a recycled 4th of July maternity dress.

Whatta gal. /s

(One welcome note. They´ve stopped bleaching her out in photos. He is said to have chosen her because she was very dark, to balance out his almost-whiteness. PC, dontcha know... She wore a violet coat-dress ensemble to a MMA ribbon cutting one time and it came out the palest lavender by the time they messed about with her skin tone... It´s good to be queen.)

Fashion note to Daily Mail Staff: The nail colour she wore to the convention was not greige, but Embalmer´s Blue-Gray. Anyone who knows ANYTHING about fashion knows that greige is a shade of gray beige. Not blue.

" The couple were visiting military personnel eating Christmas Dinner ..."
Michelle was sporting a garment that looks just a step away from baby doll pajamas.
In addition to the vulgar dragon toes and 995 dollar sandals we paid for.
She was posing coquettishly next to her sheman who actually had the sense to wear shoes this time.
No matter the temperature or climate , a lady of class would never visit soldiers on Christmas Day
wearing a glorified bath towel.

Black women have their own ways of dressing. Criticizing Michelle because she does not dress like a white woman is pointless. I did not find anything she had on to be offensive.

Re #26, she was dressed inappropriately to make a Christmas visit to the military with her husband, the president of the United States.

Her outfit would have been fine for a patio party. It was not appropriate for that event.

But there is some truth to the different styles of dressing. A visit to her fan sites will reveal that the use of the word "appropriateness" is anathem to those who hang out there.

That said I have known a number of black women who were always dressed appropriately for the occasion, well turned out, well-coiffed, impeccable. In the public sector, Condi Rice comes to mind.

#17, it´s a baby doll DRESS. Quite the height of fashion when I was in junior high in about 1965. I had two of them, one completely white.

And I have never seen a grown Black woman wear a baby doll dress for ANY occasion, until now.

This "whatever she is" woman is disgusting. Grey nail polish and now neon yellow toenail polish to offset a dress that makes her look like a fool. I´m no longer surprised, just continually offended that she doesn´t make any effort to represent this country with even a modicum of taste and judgment. She looks like a cheap, homely-beyond-belief, mean and surly woman with a lantern jaw and 6" teeth who chooses deliberately to prove she can do anything she chooses.

Regardless of her skin color, ginormity, age, or intellect (or lack of), this is totally an inappropriate representation of the First Family to be seen at home and abroad during a MILITARY event.

Furthermore, I have no doubt whatsoever that the "in-your-face-sucka" attitude these two both present to the US and the world is entirely intentional. They get away with being so offensive, rude and basically hideous outwardly and internally is because they can. To object or criticize, would be racist.

On another thought, if MO dressed like normal First Ladies, she would never get headlines.

A homeless man, oblivious to President Obama’s passing motorcade, took BB gun practice in the nearby woods and refused to drop his weapon when confronted by Connecticut cops, officials said today. Obama was speaking yesterday at the University of Hartford when police, stationed along the president’s route to Bradley International Airport, heard noises coming from a nearby wooded area around 5:50 p.m., said Bloomfield police Capt. Stephen Hajdasz. A detective from the neighboring town of Simsbury ordered the man — identified as 27-year-old Joseph Stravinskas — to drop what appeared to be a rifle, according to Hajdasz.

Interestingly enough, though the number of those religiously unaffiliated is increasing, there is little to no trend in the number of those who express atheist or agnostic beliefs. People aren’t saying they don’t believe in God. They’re saying they don’t believe in religion. They are not rejecting Christ. They are rejecting the church.
