In line with Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel’s order for troops to have their workplaces searched for “degrading or offensive” materials -- part of an attempt to curb sexual assault in the military -- the Navy will inspect even its bathrooms. It is understood that a contingency plan is in place for the unlikely event that an attempt would be made on the President’s life. The Secret Service also have diplomatic immunity which will allow them to shoot to kill a would-be assassin without fear of prosecution. The justices voted 7-2 to throw out Arizona´s voter-approved requirement that prospective voters document their U.S. citizenship in order to use a registration form produced under the federal "Motor Voter" voter registration law. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said that the 1993 National Voter Registration Act, which doesn´t require such documentation, trumps Arizona´s Proposition 200 passed in 2004.
