Amazing...the Constitution STATES we have this right and the ´law makers´ feel we don´t...let´s see now who is correct...Hmmm.When it comes to giveaways the law makers flock right away to demand them as RIGHTS!!! These elected idiots are only there to loot the treasury for their lazy constituents and have the stupid audacity to make demands. The media is quick to pick it up and repeat the same stupidity...why should this country survive and even less prosper with this behavior???

Unfortunately, ´Shall not Be Infringed´ has already been weakened from the original intent via the multitudinous guns laws and restrictions to ownership over the decades.

I´m just hoping that this onslaught can be halted and exiting restrictions rescinded, peacefully.

Americans´ rights under the Second Amendment are NOT affected by advances in modern gun technology any more than rights under the First Amendment are affected by advances in communications technology.

One of the better definitions of a liberal I have heard is that a liberal is someone who can find the right to an abortion in the Bill Of Rights, but cant find the right to own a gun.

Liberals cling to first four words ´a well regulated militia´.

This is how liberals read the constitution:

"A well educated electorate, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and read books, shall not be infringed."

That clearly means that only registered voters can own books, and none more than 100 pages, and certainly no no digital readers. Oh, and the books need to be registered at a library, and owners need to be fingerprinted and have yearly reading proficiency tests. /s

At that point, they´ll learn the true meaning of ´´well regulated militia´´...... and it does NOT mean the National Guard.

I just hope this administration is not arming the gangsta ´civilian force´ Obama talked about in the past. After all, they´re arming the drug lords of Mexico, and the Muslim Bro´hood in the Middle East. Is it too far a stretch to suspect they´re arming their inner city thugs as well?

We´re wondering..... During the American Civil War, did Honest Abe attempt to repeal the Second Amendment because Southerners took advantage of it to arm themselves? Hmmm..

Oh they know fully well what it means. The Second Amendment is not in its essence about fire arms. The Libscum like Schumer et al knows it well. It is about defining the nature of the relationship between Americans and their Government. That relationship is what Liberals have been trying to alter for the last century. Are our rights natural and God given or are they created and bestowed by the Constitution through the government? That´s what this struggle is all about. It is decisevely not about the number of rounds permissible in a magazine or the exact meaning of ´well regulated´.

This is just something else to put republicans on the spot over.They want to damage the brand before 2014.

One of the big lines the leftists keep repeating is during the Founder´s day,they only had single shot muskets.There´s been plenty of people killed with a single shot and there´s been people who get shot several times and survive.

"Shall not be infringed" gets the same attention as "prohibiting the free exercise thereof", as in:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.."

The four operative words, as the courts have (mis)interpreted this Amendment are: "A well-regulated militia".

Until we agree on a proper meaning of these words, the intent of this Amendment remains in limbo.

Since the 2nd Amendment is nestled among the 1st through the 9th Amendments....all dealing with individual rights.....it takes a legal contortionist to fantasize the 2nd is not an individual´s right.

As somebody else said, I don´t see these anti-gun people letting go of their own armed security details. Are they more special than I am? Not to me they aren´t.
