Another reason to stay away from the TV news today.

Plus the article in the ´Must Read´ that all our facts are wrong anyway.

How do we know it is our esteemed Won in Hawaii with the Moo?

The real one is probably shooting hoops with the boys somewhere in Chicago.

We rarely hear about any extended family on either side... Maybe the facts are wrong there too...

Most of this is about Mooch and Bo and it is unintentionally funny. The Mail does not miss the humor in it, saying that Bo upstaged Mooch. Some understatement. She looks absurd in a cap-sleeved dress in indoor material with brown suede over-the-knee boots (outdoor, cold weather) that no longer make it over those fattened up knees, which are the first thing you see.

Bo decides to do "lap dog".

Photos show Mooch at almost her absurd worst.

Merry Christmas!

Scientists have discovered a military fortress previously thought to have been destroyed under the prison yard at Alcatraz, the San Francisco Bay former prison and current tourist attraction. Using radar technology, researchers from Texas A&M University found the remains of military buildings and tunnels dating back to 1850. The fort was built as San Francisco´s fortunes boomed with the discovery of gold in California and it proved to be of strategic value at the outbreak of the American Civil War in 1861. The conventional wisdom being bandied about in the press is that Republican office holders, reflecting the views of their constituents, are obstinate, uncompromising, and backward-thinking. A recent CBS News/New York Times poll found, however, that precisely the opposite is the case. On a range of issues, that survey found that partisan Republican voters are more willing to compromise a range of issues than their Democratic counterparts. CBS/NYT pollsters asked Republican, Democratic, and independent voters if it was “possible” for them to consider voting for a candidate that did not share their view on a variety of issues. On the fifth anniversary of the first Tea Party rallies, the movement´s record appears mixed. It swept the GOP to a majority in the U.S. House, where it has blocked President Barack Obama´s most radical ambitions. It helped the GOP win several governorships, launching reforms that broke the unions´ political stranglehold. At the same time, weak Tea Party candidates cost the GOP the Senate, and aggressive legislative tactics cost it support. The debate for and against the Tea Party obscures the movement´s larger achievement, which is that it reinvigorated a sense of opposition in American politics. Opposition is a natural
