2, yes the CT shooter used only the rifle to kill all 26 in the school. That was announced a week ago Saturday by the police and medical examiner. Only used a handgun on himself. CBS is right.

He was convicted of killing his grandmother. So ... how´d he get the guns? In NY? Where there´s strict gun control.

They had to mention that the rifle had that scary "flash suppression". But someone who was at the scene said he "saw the muzzle flash coming at him", so flash suppression obviously doesn´t do much.
But it is an "evil feature".

He should never have been let out of prison.

Flash suppression works to protect the shooter from being blinded. I you´re down range, I.e. the target, you can see the flash...

This Spengler guy was both a criminal and a nut case. He is almost the exact type of felonious character who most Americans purchase firearms to defend themselves against. Spengler was absolutely prohibited by the current State and Federal gun control laws from purchasing, owning, or using firearms, but those gun control laws did not stop him from getting his hands on a number of guns. Spengler was the perfect example of the old saying, when guns are banned only criminals will have guns.

Thank you all for the logic above. Too bad logic and sanity got tossed out the court room window decades ago due to Political Correctness and lawyers that cash in on it.
